A children's book, but one that really sticks in my memory, so it must have been pretty good. Also FYI, Dumyat is pronounced Dum My Yat and is a mountain near Stirling in Scotland.

Read this to my 7 year old as I remember reading it in primary school and loving it. It did not disappoint, she was enthralled from start to finish and it was magical watching her relate so much to the characters because they lived in a place she could visit in real life.

Rip roaring adventures in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, with a group of kids running loosing on a Scottish mountain and engaging with bad guys - terrific read aloud with cliff hangers and loads of action. Great stuff!

A splendid adventure, set in the Ochils around Stirling, sees Gavin, on holiday visiting his aunt and uncle meet up with the Clan - three kids around his age who have adventures in the hills. This being a children's adventure story, the four get caught up in more than they bargained for when sinister figures take an interest in Gavin's uncle's silver...

Fun, exciting, full of the wild charm of the Scottish hills, woodlands, and wildlife.
