They claim there’s magic in my hands. Too bad I can’t figure out which guy is my mate. In moving close to the Midnight Alder pack, something happened. I’m about to become an official member of the pack now, and they say I have a gift. A gift that’s been prophesied for centuries. They need to get a grip. I’m nothing special. I’m just a girl, trying to get stronger and figure out which one of these men I want. Because if you asked me to choose, I’d probably pass out trying. I just hope the other pack with their stalker ways doesn’t get to me first.
Legacy is the second book in a paranormal reverse harem shifter series featuring a badly injured female wolf shifter, her healing, and the four male wolf shifters who all want to be her fated mate. It is a why choose werewolf romance with a slow burn buildup sure to make your toes curl. Relationships develop over the course of this supernatural series and, of course, Mazzy guarantees an HEA.
Mazzy J. March is a fan of all things paranormal--shifters, vampires, witches...dragons and all the many creatures that inhabit the world beyond the ordinary. She has been plotting her Academy stories for a long time and is thrilled to finally have them releasing and ever grateful to the readers who are offering such support and helping her dreams come true.
Wendi is adjusting to being part of a pack. Her parents raised her separate, her aunt kept her chair bound. And joining a pack should have been a great moment. But the thieving neighboring pack has decided to remind her alpha of an old treaty. One where females had to give equal consideration to both packs before choosing. So, sure, spending a night in enemy territory should be fun. Right?
Spoilers ahead. I like that Wendi is coming into her own. Recognizing her attraction to 4 mates, keeping up her progress in retaining and enhancing her mobility, continuing her education, her friendships, her job. There are stumbles, literal and emotional. But her wolf is coming ever closer to the surface. She's interacting and talking to her. She can use her senses. But the flames of her past are creeping ever closer. I like the series. It's interesting. I still have so many questions, though. And while the story keeps moving forward, it lacks some support to get there. *Do humans and wolves not mix? As in mates? Because the whole lack of females would seem that they tried at some point. Yeah, she's some prophesied powerhouse, but just to keep from dying out, you know? *The RH seems accepted by other packs, and her guys, but not really embraced by her new pack. Do they just have enough females that the women don't look past 1 mate? Could they not pull mates from neighboring packs? *Why is the 1 pack so poor? Bad financial skills? Do they not believe in jobs outside the pack? Why haven't they utilized natural resources? They have entire forest to hunt and gather from. Birds, small animals, deer, berries, nuts, roots and leaves. Nature provides if you know where to look. And starvation would have you looking, you'd think. *The alpha hid from a fight. Behind his betas. How does he keep that title? Are they democratic? Otherwise, sharing a mate or not, he'd lose his throne. *Why wouldn't the, we'll call him good alpha, not rescue the starving citizens of the bad alpha's pack? If wolf numbers are so low, can they really afford to not try to keep as many possible alive? *Why on Earth did Wendi not only bring Christie to the bad pack, but abandoned her fireside to go cuddle with Escher? This pack, known for kidnapping females, left her friend completely alone, after she'd been Wendi's inside security for weeks?? The logic escapes me. *Not all women are caring nurturers, but being the mate of an alpha *usually* means taking care of the whole pack. And, yes, abuse can be hidden behind a pretty cover. But why would the bad alpha's mate allow her pack members, including her beta mates, to be abused, starved, killed, abandoned? There are, according to mentions in the 2 books, at least 3 (maybe 4?) local packs- including hers. At least 1 other accepts RH relationships. As powerful wolves, betas are just under alphas, they would be accepted and welcomed as more protection to their new pack. After personality vetting, I'm sure. Anyways, the redhead has options, is what I'm saying. So why stay with a dying pack? Being queen of a trash heap can't be better than a princess in a pack where you have a full belly and a roof that doesn't leak.
I know I got a bit sidetracked off Wendi and her mates here. But, to me, the world building is just as important as the cast. You need a good story arc, and protagonists and antagonists, which this author supplies. But when the antagonists don't make sense, the story declines some. The main premise of the story is intriguing. I love the mystery being hinted at. I'll keep going because I like the slow burn and self discovery. My greedy self just wants that little bit more background.
After the first book was a let down, I decided to give this book a try, but unfortunately I think this series is not for me. I liked Wendi at the beginning, but the more I read about her and the more the author tried to make her become stronger, the weaker she looked to me. She is naive as she's never lived with other wolves before, but I think she's too naive and she just accepts everything that happens to her. The introduction of the shifter council was a nice plot twist, but still not enough to hook me into reading the rest of the books.
ONE UNEXPECTED BLOCK BUSTER!!! Holy hellion! Mazzy dropped the bomb, blowing me clean out of the water with this thrilling bad boy, switching gears and revving up the fears with this brilliantly composed dynamo, breaking out the heavy artillery, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Rolling with the drama, intrigue, turmoil, underlying threats, danger, spiraling suspense and nailbiting situations, along with a boatload of chaos while dodging calamity, you have one intoxicating masterpiece. One blazing action packed, hard hitting, heart pounding, pulse racing, adrenaline pumping, page flipping, block busting bombshell, displaying a perfectly compelling spin, imparting a killer storyline and gripping plot, bursting it into a frenzy with a life-altering culmination. The characters, dialogue, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow, transforming into genuinely approachable personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions that feel as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Awesome job Mazzy, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.
I decided to review this series as one just because they are fairly short reads – around about 100 pages each – and I managed to read all three in just one day. Plus they all follow the same story arc and read as one continuous story.
I had never heard of this author before but I was scrolling through Amazon a couple of days ago in the mood to read some paranormal romance, and I happened to stumble across this series. I’m shallow, and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t instantly drawn to these books because of the gorgeously eye-catching colourful book covers. But I was also drawn to the fact that there is a female shifter in a wheelchair as the main character. I wanted to see how that would play out in the story and I am so glad that I decided to go with this series.
Despite only being short, these books are so filled with action and romance that I very quickly became hooked – hence the reading marathon that ensued once I had started reading book one. There is the mystery surrounding Wendi’s past, including the accidents that seem to plague her family and the fact that she can’t walk despite doctors being unable to find anything physically wrong with her. There is also the danger of a nearby pack who seem intent to get their hands on Wendi due to a shortage of female shifters – and they don’t care who they have to hurt in order to get to her.
Also, there is a lot of romance involved, as when Wendi first meets her new pack, she becomes close with four of them and it becomes clear that they are all her fated mates. Obviously this comes as a shock for Wendi who, because of her disability, has led a very sheltered life up until this point and has never even been on a date or kissed a guy. These books are not very graphic in terms of the more steamy moments – these tend to be brushed over quite quickly and are there to develop the story as opposed to allowing the reader to enjoy the salacious parts – but that is not really a complaint as it just doesn’t seem to be the style of these particular books. The emphasis is very heavily on the emotional aspects of their relationship as opposed to the sexual aspects and I enjoyed reading about how Wendi’s relationships developed and evolved as the series progressed. I think that my only complaint about the romance elements would be that the four guys all seemed a little TOO perfect. In a new relationship with five people involved, all of which have never been in relationships before because they were all waiting for their fated mate, I would have expected there to be some teething problems as everyone got used to the situation. But there wasn’t, and I guess I found that a little weird. There were a few times where Wendi struggled a bit with their relationship, but the guys all took it in their stride with no jealousy or possessiveness to be seen.
Something else I loved about this series was watching Wendi become stronger and more empowered as the story progressed. At the start of book one, she is just moving into her own place for the first time, after spending most of her life being looked after by people who have not allowed her to do anything for herself. But, with the encouragement of her mates, she pushes herself more and more to be able to find independence. She manages to strengthen herself physically so that she is able to walk for longer distances. She manages to reconnect with her wolf, who has been missing since the accident that left her in a wheelchair as a little girl. And she also manages to connect with healing powers that she had never known she had, so that she is able to help others in the pack. Wendi develops so much throughout the series and I was cheering her on every step of the way.
There were occasional issues with the writing, such as some spelling and grammatical errors, but I found it pretty easy to overlook them as I was drawn into the story completely. I absolutely loved this series and I can’t wait for book four to come out next month so that I can find out what happens next!
Okay so she didn't understand what the low voices were really talking about. Escher knew she'd saved him but he couldn't figure out why they hadn't tried harder to kill him and snatch her. Slowly the events of this evening started coming back to me. I'm a girl who never knows what to wear. But now with new friends there is truly might be hope for me. I never expected to asked to join the pack but now that I've been voted in I can honestly say how grateful I am. However my meeting with the Alpha tottally turned my neat little world upside down quicker then a speedy hare. And all of this was based on some antiquated treaty between the packs. I didn't want to go anywhere near the other pack who's idea of recruitment was actually to try an kidnap me. Escher tried to reassure me that he'd always take care of me especially while we had to be here among total strangers. I'd made my feeling quite clear as to which pack I truly belong with. Escher shared his memories of his awful childhood when his family lived here. Wendi didn't want to stop kissing with Escher was awesome but she wanted more even if he thought they might be watching them. He was infuriated that they dare try and keep Wendi from leaving she up held her end and explored there pack and still choice to leave. Escher was about to lose his temper and anyone who got in his path was going to pay. She was tired and felt dirty from just one night in that horrendous place Wendi felt bad for the poor families trapped there. I'd honestly wished my parents hadn't died before I'd had a chance to understand about what we truly were and my aunt had been terrible to me. Wendi wasn't sure what to expect when they'd asked her to go with them. Honestly she didn't understand what secrets had they been keeping from her? Okay I'm not in Kansas anymore apparently my brain has exited the stage. Maybe somewhere deep down I'd known. It felt so wrong leaving my home even if I knew it was the only way to keep me safe from the other pack who'd been showing there ugly hides around my house. Wendi's perfume lured me in and it was driving me insane I was practically salivating I knew each and everyone of the others would give anything to be in my place and I definitely wasn't about to waste my opportunity with a big smile I dived into pure heaven. I'd never been so furious as I was now the fact they'd gone to the council filing a complaint trying to force me into there pack even after I've already said no.

The FC, Wendi, has been stuck in a wheelchair since she was 5 years old when she was in a car accident that killed her parents. She was then looked after by her aunt until there was a fire which killed her aunt. She then decides to start anew at a university and buy her own house in an attempt to be more self sufficient. The house she buys is on the Midnight Alder pack lands. When she is brought into the pack, having never been part of a pack, she meets her fated mates (although she does not know that they are her mates) and discovers that she is been sought after by another pack, the Rattlesnake pack from whom the Midnight Alder Pack must protect her. It turns out that she is a rare healer and the series covers the evolution of her relationship with the MCs and the FC discovering her legacy and background whilst fighting to keep away from the Rattlesnake pack.
Heat Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆🍆 The scenes ramp up as the story progresses and there are group and one on one scenes with all centred around the FC and no MM scenes. I found” the writing to be crude and didn’t really work for me “Hot semen poured in to me” - really? That’s not hot that’s just “eew” 🫣
• There are material editing issues including sentences that just don’t make sense and disjoints with parts of the story. One minute the FC can barely walk and the next she can walk decent distances; The FC manages to escape from a house fire that kills her aunt but which the girl in the wheelchair somehow survives? Book 2 ends on a minor cliffhanger with a house burning down yet there’s no mention of it in Book 3, in fact its not even acknowledged; There’s a sudden mention of the Alpha’s twin brother appearing who has never been mentioned before but then no explanation as to where he’s been or why he’s suddenly popped up; The FC is lauded as a rare healer and yet apparently her grandmother has been living in the pack as a healer??
The story as a whole was hackneyed and unoriginal. The “crippled” heroine that was clearly not really crippled but was just too stupid to live - check? (I mean, who spends 15 years taking unknown pills, not seeing or questioning the lack of medical diagnosis or the fact that her aunt kept her sequestered her whole life?) An FC who discovers that she has some incredible, rare healing power that makes her wanted by every pack - check? The old women who pitches up out of the blue to “teach” the FC about her gift who turns out to be related – check? However god forbid she tells the FC that they are related or about her background and her family and once the FC finds out why would the FC bother asking about her family and why she did not know she had other family? Apparently she wouldn’t, only a normal person would ask questions 🙄 🫣
The author throws in so many plot mechanisms purely designed to create some kind of angst that they are just annoying. For example, the FC herself is incredibly annoying as the author insists on painting her as one of those FCs who has clearly met her fated mates but refuses to see that and instead believes the MCs are only attentive because she’s a healer and important to the pack 😡. This is further compounded by the fact that the MCs do not tell her she is their fated mate despite there being absolutely no reason not to other than the author trying for some dramatic effect. The FC also gets given a file about herself and her parents but unlike any normal person who would read the file she doesn’t. She reads a few pages then puts it aside to read later. Of course it turns out to be purely a mechanism so the author can create a lame plot twist when she comes back to read more 😒 However does the FC then rush off to clarify what she has discovered? Apparently not, she goes to plan her wedding. The author’s attempts at plot twists and drama were dreadful and so badly manufactured they were just insulting to the reader.
The FC herself came across as annoying, stupid and weak. I could not engage with her or the MCs to any real degree. I think the author was trying to write a strong character but she comes across as aggressive and stupid in how she digs her heels in over pointless issues and seems to be constantly crying. Overall this was a badly written and poorly constructed story with an unlikeable heroine that the author insisted on dragging out over multiple books.
I was a little disappointed with this book, not gonna lie. I wished for more character development but got more of the same.
We pick up right where we left off. Wendi has just healed Escher and everyone is frazzled because she’s someone special and needs more protection than ever. It could all be linked to why so many mysterious things have happened in the past. With that almost brushed under the rug basically, Wendi is then formally initiated into the pack. With others still following her around and wanting her, Wendi is protected by her four hotties and starts actually being able to communicate with her wolf.
Hmmm. FMC is a too naive and self deprecating female who misunderstands things a lot. She also cries... a LOT. I wish I liked her. If anything, this book made me dislike her whereas I actually liked her in the first book.
When we started to get to know the guys more, it was like all the relationship development between Wendi and the guys was breezed over and just told to us about. I wasn’t into it and wanted the actual details. It would have made the book much more enjoyable.
The plot doesn’t really go anywhere besides Wendi recognizing the guys as hers and the other pack. Which was so strange because they didn’t even explain why they were all so poor?? Idk it was weird.
I still have a problem with the editing. The punctuations need work and so does the grammar at points. The transition between Wendi talking to herself and her wolf inside her head was also confusing, as there was no differentiation between the two voices.
I don’t think I’ll be revisiting this series for a while, if at all. Although the premise was interesting, there are too many things I have problems with for me to continue.
Wendi Walker's story continues in this book as she wakes up at the Alpha’s house with everyone around her talking about how she healed Escher after three wolves from another pack had attacked him and that she was the prophesied Healer. The memories came back and she saw Escher protect her from the three wolves. They limped off and he was on the ground bleeding. She crawled to him, put his born ear back in place, then a blinding light covered him – coming from her!
Christie helped Wendi pick out clothes to wear to the new pack member celebration. She thought that if she was the Healer, why couldn’t she heal herself, why couldn’t she shift? Moss and Cash met her at the celebration. Escher and Brandon had gone to get the cake. Afterward, she was tired and went to sleep. Christie slept there too as sort of an inside guardian for her. After a few hours of sleep, Christie woke her up and told her the Alpha wanted to see her right away. He said the Rattlecreek pack sent them a message that they demanded to “woo” her to join their pack regardless of the new pack party she had just attended with the Midnight Alder pack. An ancient document gave them that right. Escher will go with her and she only has to spend a night with them. But something is going on and they will continue to be a problem. Will she be okay with the other pack? Or will they try something underhanded?
Lots of suspense will keep the reader interested as we see the other pack interfering in Wendi’s happiness and her choices. The characters are portrayed well and the story line moves at a brisk pace. What will happen next?
Still a few mistakes here and there, but if you ignore them, it's still a fantastic story!
There are a couple of inconsistencies in the first book, and near the beginning of this book, I found more. Without it being much of a spoiler (if you've read the description of the book, you already know this is a RH book), in the first book "Survivor", the main female character said she had read RH books before. In THIS book, someone mentions harems. She then asks what a "Reverse Harem" is (despite the person not actually saying REVERSE harem). There's other minor, MINOR things here and there, but not many. Despite this, I'm still LOVING the storyline so much! Briefly during a few minutes of me putting the book down to live real life, I got thinking that so often I read these types of books where the MC gets rejected, or goes through drama beforehand. This series is probably the first I've read where that HASN'T happened. Right off the bat, these guys treat her with respect. It's actually a wonderful change!
SUMMARY OF THE BOOK WITHOUT SPOILERS: The other rival pack knows she's there with the current pack, and that they want her. However, the rival pack wants her, too. Meanwhile, she has stopped taking her meds, and seems to continue to get stronger despite that. Just when it seems things are going fantastic, though, and things can't get better... something happens to try and take that away.
Wendi wakes up after the attack that left Escher badly injured. She remembers that she her hands lighting up as she held Escher. They think she is some kind of prophesied healer. The Alpha makes Wendi a member of the pack. Wendi is getting stronger everyday, she feels her wolf a little more at a time. She is spending time with her friend Christie and the guys. She is drawn to all of her guys, doesn't know if she can choose. Wendi is called to the Alpha's house due to the other pack. They requested that Wendi go there to see them. Wendi doesn't want to but doesn't to start a war. Wendi will go with Escher and Christie to stay the night. What Wendi sees there, will break her heart. Escher will have to protect Wendi to get her back to pack lands. Wendi overhears the guys and their Alpha talking, she misunderstands everything. Wendi decides to leave, when the guys find her. They decide that they have to explain what she heard.
That is just a brief summary of some of this story. DIdn't want to get into to much detail so I didn't spoil it for anyone. There are so many really good moments in this book. I recommend that you reading this book. Can't wait for the next book, what to see what is going on with Wendi, the guys, Christie and the packs.

I am beyond the young adult years, but this book makes me long for them! The thought of a reverse harem relationship with men like Moss, Cash, Escher, and Brandon leads to some very warm feelings. That aside, in Legacy, Wendi becomes part of the pack and finds a sense of family and kinship. Her relationship with her four admirers goes to another level in a super slow-burn fashion. Unfortunately, not all local shifters care about her newfound happiness, and something ominous is in the air. The action, suspense, and romance are building as Wendi's memories begin to return, as does her past.
The author, Mazzy J. March, left us with quite the cliffhanger in this book, so that the next book in the series, Triumph, is a must-read.

Again, more editorial mistakes (see review of book 1 and 3). Also what was with the completely copy and paste of the last few pages in book 1 starting out book 2? I usually skim through the first paragraph or so when books do a rehash of what's previously happened, but that's because I literally just finished reading that book and really what to know what's about to happen next. This copy and paste thing was even more of a waste of time for me. I get rehashing as a quick little recap but do not copy and paste word for word. All and all, it was okay. The plot is different but I feel like I should be more invested than I am. It reads like the author is rushing to get these books out and isn't taking the time to really make a great story. It would be better if she took the time to really look at and think about the story she wants to portray then publishing it.
More intense drama and action. The pack next to the one Wendi is in, wants her to become part of their pack. Due to very old rules, she accepts to go there for one day and night. It happens to be Escher's old pack. Christi and Escher go to keep Wendi safe. The pack tries to take Wendi but they do not realize what they are up against. Escher has painfully memories from his time there and will protect Wendi to his death. Wendi saw things there that she did not like. She wants to stay with the pack she is already with. Wendi is learning more things out about herself and having to learn the real ways of pack instead of what she read in books. Things are complicated because everyone is trying not to overwhelm Wendi with what is actually happening. So much intrigue is involved in this story.
If you like reverse harem books, this might not be for you. This is a very vanilla book, even with the multiple love interest in it. The steamy moments you associate with RH is missing from this book and I have read the next couple in series to see if better, but I still get the same feeling. Meh...
I know there is no new stories out there, but I feel like this plot line has been done a few times and much better. Girl comes from tragic past because of who she is. Girl meets boy(s) and starts to grow within herself because of him/them. Girl has strife from outside force. HEA happens.
If you just want a sweet read that isn't difficult, this is fine, but if you are a fan of RH, this isn't what we have come to associate with the genre. I finished the series just because I can't leave one unfinished, but not my cup of tea.
We have mystery and some suspense. Wendi lost her parents at a young age. She lived with her aunt who helped her and made sure she toke her medication. When their houses burnt down and lost everything. She left. Now living with the Midnight Alder Pack, she has not been taking her meds, but something strange is happening. She is able to walk some. She still does not have her wolf. Will she ever be able to run. She has Cash, Escher, Moss and Brandon who have been helping her. Christie has been becoming her best friend. The Rattlecreek Pack wants her too. What will this pack do to get her? Can this pack she is staying with help her? Will these four guys keep her safe?

**Warning! Cliffhanger!** This is book two in the series, and it begins where book one’s cliffhanger ended and ends on another cliffhanger ready for book three.
Wendi is getting used to pack life, and the three males who have caught her attention. She’s getting stronger, re-learning how to walk, and beginning to hear her wolf again. However, there is another pack interested in her, and other issues that have arisen…
This is a slow-burn romance, reverse harem style, something that is apparently fairly normal in their world. It’s carefully done and gradually too, which makes for a more enjoyable reading experience. An entertaining read for those who enjoy paranormal and urban fantasy romance, particularly reverse harem romance.
Wendi's story continues to unfold in book two of this series. Not only does she continue to build her strength but she gets to know her four guys better. As the guys' personalities and backgrounds are revealed a bit more, Wendi appreciates and loves them even more. Rattlecreek pack is a nightmare and not something you'd ever want to join and they continue to be a problem. There is something else going on too which makes the plot thicken. The only problem with this book is it leaves you hanging until the next book comes out. I hope the next book unveils why Wendi has had a target on her back for years.
The first book kept me interested with the romance development and the heroine learning to become stronger. Book two with the the introductions of the other dirt poor pack wanting the heroine just did not work to make the book stronger.
On this book, the mc got annoying and wimpy. The story became redundant and predictable. The worst was the usual too cliche of a storyline of the mc wanting to be a teacher (boring), the usual another pack trying to kidnapped the female, and the prophecy. Basically, this was a boring book. Definitely a snail pace on the romance sexy time with not enough heat. This was a DNF..
Legacy by Mazzy J. March this is definitely a book that when I read it said to me Oh MY Gosh !!!!!! Yes A Must Read. This is book number two in this Oh My Gosh YES Must Read series and I am so hooked on it since book one and I am sitting on the edge of my chair after reading this story and can not wait to read the next book I loved them all so far. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about wolf shifters, magic, paranormal romances.

So I read book one and it was a little rough but I wanted to give the author another chance, let her hit her stride... it got worse. Just get some better editors: betas because things slipped through that never should have. My biggest complaint (only made it about a third of the way) last book our h talks about rh books. She read them! Even mentions how usually one is jealous in the books the she read but none of her guys are. This book ‘omg what’s a reverse harem??’ 😑 someone should have caught this.
Okay, I held off on my review of the first book, but here it is. It's blatantly obvious to the reader from the get go what's going on. The fact the FMC is so dense and clueless is a big turn off in liking her. Then the guys... let's just say they are boring. Their romance is sooo slow, sooo barely even sizzling, it's a turn off on the heat factor. I won't be continuing the series. These little steps, the holding off from their desires, the lack of passion... they might as well be caregivers instead of love interests. Too sweet.
I read the first book in this series ago, but just found it again. I really like the premise here, and certain nuances are intriguing. However.... I’m having a hard time with Wendi. I get that she’s 18 are innocent, but her thought process just doesn’t make sense - her insecurities with the guys and her naive understanding, or lack there of, to all things romantic. The girl has supposedly comforted herself for years with romance novels!
Beyond that, this is a decent, if short, installment.
This is book 2 of the Shifters of Consequence I loved this story and I can’t wait to read book 3, this is the continuation of Wendi’s and her guys she is the prophesied healer especially after the way she healed Escher and now the other pack want a chance to get Wendi to join their pack but she has already said no but the Rattlecreek pack are up to something. Fantastic story I enjoyed it immensely and I highly recommend this book.
This series had some potential, but the problems in the last book exploded in this one. I'm over it. No longer interested in these shallow and undeveloped characters. I don't buy the romance, and the declarations of love are absolutely not supported by the context. I no longer care about the series arc and this idea of her being some magical healer. There were opportunities for the plot to develop and get exciting, but again, it just fizzled out.
This book needs a serious editor or even beta readers that will challenge the author. The plot has promises but the follow through is not there. I was seriously hoping the 2nd book would improve but no. The author has to learn to build her characters, because they are seriously lacking. We get a big build up from Wendi’s wolf and then when her wolf finally shows it was very disappointing.
4 stars for Legacy by Mazzy J March. This book two in the Shifters of Consequence Series. The drama danger, suspense, and romance pick up in this book. Wendi can’t decide which man is her mate, but maybe she doesn’t have too. I feel the nest part these books are watching Wendi becoming stronger. Wendi and the guys relationship are developing but another pack is claiming Wendi as theirs. I am ready to see what happens next.
Would’ve been five stars, except for the cliffhanger and the plot issue. Spoiler alert: plot issue: they go on and on and on about how a female shifter is rare and how valuable she is, except Christina went with her to the Rattlecreek pack and nothing was said about her…why not? I could see if she had a mate already, or if the word got out that she was a healer, but it doesn’t make sense the way it’s written.
Legacy: A Shifter of Consequence Tale (Shifters of Consequence Book 2)
OMG 😊 This is the 5th book I read today by Ms. March, I can't seem to put my Kindle down, I say I'm gonna read a few chapters and before I know it, I finished another book,.. Such a great shifter plot and great character build. Love this story and can’t wait to read book 3.. But will start that one tomorrow need sleep..
I read book 1 and didn't like Wendi, so I'm not sure why I continued with this book.. I got 57% in and DNF. Wendi is a major doormat and doesn't think for herself. One minute she says she wants "independence", then the next, she's just rolling over when the MMCs tell her that she has to move in with them, ignoring the fact that will mean she has no independence. I couldn't continue reading, I really dislike Wendi
This second installment is full of sweet romance and the slow build of the harem. No sex yet but lots of rising passion. There’s intrigue and bad guys too spicing things up. This book went by too fast. I’m already set for the third one.
