Rayne Rachels lives in Texas with her husband. In her free time she enjoys photography, reading, going to flea markets, and playing poker. Lisa's Bear is the first novella in her Bryant Station Curves series.
3.5 stars Dru, an abused bear shifter, finds a place at the Starlight Bar. However, Cooper, who ends up being her mate, is not happy she's there. He resists her but eventually realizes that he cannot live without her. I loved that Dru could defend herself. She was a big, strong bear who refused to back down from a fight. Cooper spent too much time fighting his feelings and Dru got hurt because of it. Despite that, a very enjoyable story.
