Tiny the giant fairy is intent on making life difficult for the residents of Whitefall Cove. But what happens when the cranky mechanic turns up dead in her garage?
Tiny and I have something in common. We share a birthday. So when a mysterious gift turns up on my doorstep that could have had me joining Tiny in the ever-after, I'm immediately suspicious. Add to that Tiny's death was staged to look like an accident and I'm convinced foul play was involved.
While I'm busy searching for clues, Gran is busy creating havoc at her new role as Advanced Potion's teacher at Drixworths Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She's already on her third warning and I fear the powers that be will not be embracing her unorthodox teaching methods anytime soon.
When another body drops, coincidentally sharing a birthday with Tiny and I, I have a sneaking suspicion the killer will not quit until I'm dead. With my birthday celebrations on hold, I call the murder club to order—we have a mystery to solve and a killer to catch.
This paranormal murder mystery will have you completely spellbound and laughing out loud!
I have absolutely loved binging on this series! It has been great while I have someone I love in the hospital battling for their life to have this series help me through with the great characters and how everything is perfectly weaved together. I hope this is not the end to this funny, mysterious, adventurous and kick butt series because I can't wait to see what comes next for Harper and all of the gang!
This seems to be the last in the series, at least at this point. In this book we have a number of murders linked somehow to a mysterious amulet and crossroads demons. Harper is almost one of the victims, but is saved by the head of the local coven (and is also chewed out by her for failing to attend coven meetings).
This was just okay for me. I liked the addition of the blue demon to town, but a lot of the story seemed rather choppy to me. I continue to dislike Harper's gran, who many other readers seem to like. If the author wrote another book in the series, I would probably read it, just to see what happens with Harper going forward.
I am really getting into paranormal cozy mysteries, and I really like this one so I was glad to see another book. I really like the characters, and I would have liked to have seen Whitney more, but when she’s there, she’s hilarious. As with the other books in the series, this was well-written, and I like that her boyfriend doesn’t keep telling her to quit sleuthing. He’s really supportive of her. The ending was very surprising; I didn’t really see that one coming. As always, this was a fun, quirky, quick book. This author has written another cozy paranormal series that I love even more; check it out. I do recommend this book. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
Another great cozy mystery featuring witches, a vampire, a hot necromancer, a mean fairy, and a domestic demon. Harper's birthday goes horribly wrong as murders abound and her life is threatened. The Murder Club is once more in session, but this time there are fresh cupcakes. Gran is her usual hilarious self as she wears her bejeweled Uggs and creates a sparkly wardrobe for a giant demon. The identity of the murderer will be a surprise for you, as it is for Harper, Jenna, and Monica. Join in the fun and drool over the desserts. Oh, there is also a surprise for Harper, but I'm not telling.
I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
Birthdays are just murder! Especially when everyone you share the date with shows up dead! This paranormal murder mystery will have you on the edge of your seat with the suspense or rocking with laughter! I love the characters in this series, each is different and quirky, magical and feisty and I love the twists and turns the author throws our way! A great addition to this series!
I enjoyed this book. It was a fast read. I could not put it down. I needed to know as fast as I could what happened. I now feel like part of the family. I am so excited to see what the story is going to be next.
Magic and mayhem follow Harper and her friends. Fun characters and good plots definitely ensure a delightful read with lots of humor. And wait till you meet Driz.
REVIEW : WITCH WAY TO DEATH & DESTRUCTION : (Book 5 Witch Way Series) : Jane Hinchey.
Loads More Murder, Mystery & Mayhem, But Where Was The Madness, The Magic, The Hilarity?
Ahh Thank You Jane, It's Explained, Yes The Eyes Have It & Aren't Those Red Eyes Something Special! I almost thought you'd forgotten a plot point from Book 5, but should have know better! And it got me thinking about how much I enjoyed this book in comparison to Book 5 & therefore I have updated my reviews for Death & Destruction to 4⭐ review!
I thoroughly enjoying this book, I was reading the whole time with a big dopey smile on my dial, & immediately hoped perhaps Llewellyn Cox the Demon Hunter might reprise his role as a ghost or under Jackson’s thrall & power as the town’s Necromancer, but considering it didn’t occur in book 5, I didn’t like my chances. Llewellyn was quite unique, interesting, flamboyant & eccentric one of the only character’s (if a bit older) to have been the Ron Weasley to Gran’s Hermione Granger, an epic love story! Here are a few other points occurred to me, the good, the great, the bad & of course the ugly!
There was barely any of the usual laughing out loud hilarious moments a Jane Hinchey novel is so well known for, whatever the genre style be. Jane often catches me out, I'll take a drink right before a hilarious moment & my drink ends up all over my tablet via my mouth & nose, laughing uncontrollably looking like some ancient fountain found in Athens or Rome after another Hinchey wisecrack! Thankfully I don't read paperbacks anymore! Or perhaps that’s the point, is it some sort of conspiracy with you authors, a way of doubling your sales? Get us to destroy our books by laughing with our mouths full of food & drink, so we have to buy replacements, I’m onto you lady! LOL!
Actually there’s 2 Gran's moments. One during an excited little dance, where she lets one slip (as usual) & then there's Harper almost peeing her panties, managing to keep the flood gates closed, but then a small stream escapes, and the river runs free! (Harper, you are a young fit witch, you haven’t even had children yet! Better get those pelvic floor muscles working girl! Lol! And of course Gran's at it again, as she drops a couple of stinky whoppers in the nail salon, but that’s it. I understand Gran is an elderly lady and they tend to pass gas often, loudly & proudly! Its said fart jokes never die they just truly stink, and in this case I think it's literally true. Butt (pun intended) they’re not getting any funnier, a little repetitive or on the nose (Sorry Jane).
With just 2 pages to go of chapter 2, I’d worked out the major plot behind the novel! To me, it was obviously predictable, but in saying that, it doesn't mean the book is. This is nothing unusual for me, I've been reading everyday (since childhood). I go thru large novels every 2-3 days, well I was until My migraines hit, now its more like 3-4 books a month. I was severely Injured at 19, spending most of the past 28 years reading, watching TV & movies. So I'm pretty good at it, picking out plots most people don’t see coming! I also worked out the 'Whodunit', before I should have. At least at Chapter 15, it was later in the book at the Full Throttle Formula Masters Fundraiser Event! (Sorry Devils, No Spoilers Here), but I don't think its predictable or an easy guess by any means!
Ms Hinchey has created an extraordinary cast of loveable characters, a ragtag bunch of mismatched, supernatural creatures & critters of all types who have embraced one another as a family unit, not of blood, but of choosing, creating a bond stronger than blood ever could! This book & series is definitely character driven & generated. This is one of Jane's many strong attributes with her writing. Hinchey character’s are usually full of depth, body, background & history, three dimensional, the type who is real, believable & you'd want as family or friends, but all of her cast usually is.
This novel is more jammed pack full of murder, mystery & mayhem, but once again, "Where is the Magic & Madness?” In the last book we began to see a tonne of magic & just what these witches(and other species) were capable of. Harper was fully exploring, indulging and loving it, but what happened? I'm not referring to the simplistic spells of this nor earlier books"? For a while in books 4 & 5, it seemed like the characters were evolving, we were learning more about their pasts & getting to know them on a deeper level, but with book 6, have we learnt anything new? Unfortunately no, not at all of our regulars crew. If anything I'd actually say if anything they've de-evolved. Yes we've been introduced to several new characters in WWTS&S, some much more in depth than others, but it shouldn't be at the expense of our regulars, who the story is truly about. They must keep on evolving or else the series will flatline with character development. Jane, you are an incredibly gifted author / writer whom I adore. I can not wait for that email signalling your next book’s arrival & along with the rest of the ARC Team we are lucky enough to read & review before it’s public release, but the difference lately between your Paranormal / Urban Fantasy Book Series & the Cozy's is like Day & Night! And yes there has been some rip snorter Cozy's, and I know not every book can be a ‘Grand Slam Home Run, Hit Right Outta The Ball Park’ or be another ‘# 1 Best Seller', but we seem to get quality & quantity in one genre & more quantity in the other.
These Cozy's are being pumping out so quickly, and I realize with experience we become better, work more efficiently & faster, know the ropes, having routines down pat, are able to write / edit faster, And you’ve well & truly learnt the ropes, but I just hope your not becoming one of those author's who jumps on the latest genre bandwagon because they think they can do it fast, pump 'em out to make a bunch of quick money rather than giving us your dedicated fans, ARC Team, readers & friends the best of your abilities with quality and quantity, rather than just the quantity. I know most of us would prefer you to take your time, (an extra week, fortnight or month) if it meant better quality book & I know not all reader’s out there are like me, there’ll always be those putting pressure on authors for the next book & the one after that. But It becomes very obvious to one's readers when an author jumps on the next big genre band wagon, but please don't take this wrong, I'm not saying nor suggesting you're doing this.
I know many readers who’ve left authors for this very reason, I don’t want this to happen to you. I read most of your reviews on Amazon & have seen many suggesting the books feel / sound rushed. It can be read in the storylines, details, lack of details, plots & characters. We get so much more from you with character development, word building, description, research, storylines plot & arc's with your other genres than we currently are here, but I do love your Cozy's. A classic example of this is, Whitefall Cove sits on the 'Magical Leylines', a very powerful aspect in its own right. In any book / TV Series or movie the ‘Leylines' are a major contributor, basically a major or secondary character in storylines with multiple sub stories or branches leading off of it creating other stories. Of this incredible aspect/character, all we’ve seen of it is the dimensional portal opening allowing demons through to wreak havoc which the witches closed in book 5. You could do so much more with this storyline & your supernatural characters. It may be coming in future books, I don’t know, but we’re at book 7 next. You could take this series with it Supes, Laylines & magic anywhere & everywhere & I want the best for you & from you.
While you know I love & promote your Paranormal / Urban Fantasy Books, I love reading the Cozy's too & promote them across multiple platforms too. After all a Jane Hinchey Cozy is my go to read, a refreshing change in between full-on intense heavy duty fantasy novels or when times are tough or life is getting you down & you want a quick light-hearted read. Its the best & a Must 4 Me!
Sometimes I feel a little disappointed and let down with the Cozy's, which I absolutely despise saying as you are one of my all-time favourite authors, well let’s be frank & honest, your my favourite female Aussie Author! I don't & wont put down your work, or anyone’s for the fun of it, its not right tearing down someone’s hard work of blood, sweat, tears & tantrums (if occur)! I always try to offer constructive criticism. Try to explain why this didn’t work for me or offer up suggestions. I know many author’s appreciate it especially when you’re on Beta & ARC Teams & only hope this review is more detailed in constructive criticism that helps coming from a different perspectives. I think another big aspect missing from this series & especially this book in particular is a bit of romance between our leading couple Harper and Jackson. I know you said you wanted this to be a clean sweet Cozy, but these guys haven't even gone on a date in months, let alone had a decent snog (a pash 4 you Yanks) & I know your fans thrive on your incredibly well written & tasteful sex scenes. (You out do yourself here girl, your words make my toes curl)! This book isn’t even G rated, it became Gee what happened to their love story? This is a couple were led to believe is so hot & heavy for each other & totally head over heels in love, can’t keep their hands off each other, but they barely touch other than a quick peck on the cheek / forehead, its a quick peck or cuddle let alone a date or romance.
I asked once before, "Please Ms, I want some more!" "More magic, more complicated & intricate spells & please please please you have an endless well to draw from & amazing stories to tell my friend with all the supernatural characters, Please use their preternatural powers & talents, its not just Harper, Gran & the witches here. This is a series about a whole slew of supernatural creatures. Supes have powers and abilities mere mortals dream of having, that you’re not using. Speaking of the witches, Harper Jones is meant to be some incredibly rare & powerful 'Whitelight Witch' with powers emanating from the Stars, it's not likely they'll run out of juice, if she uses them. Please make her use them, but make it phenomenal! Harper uses 2 simple clothes cleaning spells, a levitation bubble, then adapts that one slightly for another simple spell! And we barely see a spark from Gran (a powerful Elder witch) or Annie (the Head Witch of The Sister's of the Sacred Flame Coven. This is a witch over 300+ years of age & experience!
Then there's Monica the Vampire: Yes, Vamps have super speed & hearing, but its so clique! You’ve barley tapped into powers she has, how about Jenna the Fae, a Fae's power can be endless & is one of the most impressive species I've seen (I'd be one if I had my choice), but all we hear of Jenna is her superb reporting & research skills! Next you have Jackson, a Detective & Necromancer, Whitney the Ghost, Driz the Demon, Tiny the Fairy, Or any of the Fox Shifter's living in the compound, have any ever transformed in Witch Way? Nope that's a big fat Zip! Just how are these characters meant to develop when they don't use their natural instincts abilities & attributes, it's not like they're hiding their abilities or species from the public, it seems to be 'Out And About Proudly' in Whitefall Cove. One of my favourite aspect of this series is Ms Hinchey's talent for hilariously gimmicky store names! They are completely off the charts & out of this world! Please keep 'em coming Jane, I can't wait to read thru the latest book for the new crazy names. I think the Tea Leaf should be changed to reflect the times & new ownership, perhaps something more appropriate like Driz's Demonic Drizzling Delights, Diz's Demon Dough etc, but you need no help in that sector!
I RATE WHICH WAY TO SECRETS & SORCERY 3.9 ⭐ OUT OF 5 ⭐!
I RECOMMEND JANE HINCHEY, THIS BOOK & SERIES, BUT CHECKOUT HER OTHER GENRE & SERIES TOO, WHILE YOU'RE AT IT, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
I received in advance readers copy of this book from the author and this is my fair honest and impartial review as always.
Reviewed By : Jewelz Pederick. 🙋♀ ❤ From The 🤪 🇦🇺 📖🐛❗ (Bye Love From The Crazy Australian Bookworm)!
This series is fun and cute. Unfortunately I read the Ghot Detective series first (from this same author) and those are everything this series almost is. The characters are stronger and the romance so much more real. This series, the mains almost feel like besties instead of romantic interests. But that being said, the books are cute and a quick fun read.
Harper Jones, and the Murder Club along with Archie, are back in Whitefall Cove for another magical adventure of mystery and mayhem. Harper is celebrating her birthday with her family and her boyfriend, Jackson, that does not include a trip to Tiny's mechanic shop to pick up a car part for Gran's car. Tiny with Tiny, the cranky large Fairy mechanic also shares the same birthday with Harper. While doing an errand for Jackso, she found a dead body inside the mechanic garage. Harper and her friends discover several other deaths happen on her birthday that does not bode well with her. Harper is on the case with the Murder Club before she is the next Birthday death!
This adventure is the sixth installment in this series that begins a possible magical transformation for Harper and her magical abilities. This book can read as a standalone book to get the reader familiar with the characters. I do highly recommend to start with the first book to discover this magical community. I love Gran, she is an original witch with a wicked sense of humor that steals the show every time she appears in this storyline. This crew is quirky and just as wild as usual which is a nice touch. Whitney is back for an appearance, she is one one feisty ghost, and is a welcome addition to this plot line. I do love to connect with these fun supernatural citizens of Whitefall Cove.
The only drawback is Harper's lack of confidence regarding her magical powers in this mystery. Maybe Harper is going through a transformation period regarding her magic? I hope so, because I did not like this naive Harper at all in this adventure. I would love to see more history about Harper's magic coming to light and how the coven is going to benefit from her powers.
Ms. Hinchey produced a good story with plenty of action to keep this reader’s interest throughout the mystery. She is a master of long-term character development, such as Gran and Harper, with a healthy dose of verve and some serious magical mystery for our favorite witches. This book provides the best of the most funniest and quirkiest paranormal characters with a LOT of sarcasm and humor that wrapped up in a great mystery story.
It's Harper's birthday and she and her detective boyfriend, Jackson have planned a nice quiet romantic evening. But then Jackson gets a call about a death, Del, whose birthday is the same day as Harper's. When Annie, the head witch of the coven comes to Harper's house and saves her life from the demon monster, Garrag, she realizes she should have used her magic. When questioned by Annie, she says she has received a gift of relic, an amulet. With special tongs, Annie confiscates it and explains to Harper that if she just touched it, she would immediately die and her soul would be marked for a crossroads demon and she gives a veiled warning to Harper about missing coven meetings. Yikes. Then we have Tiny, who also shared the same birthday as Harper and Del dead. Does it have to do with the amulet? This is such a fun read and a 6th book in this series. The characters, are great especially those in the murder club who besides Harper are Gran and Harper's friends. Gran is a hoot. She's an eccentric character, who always dresses inappropriately and makes you laugh. The ghost, Whitney is back in a small but important roll. The author adds a new character to the series that you can't help but love...Driz a demon was actually Tiny's one true love as crazy as that may seem. Of course the murder club has to delve into Tiny's death. The author has us going around in circles with lots of twists, turns and red-herrings. I can't wait to see what's next with this group. I received and ARC from the author but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
It’s great to have Harper and Gran back. They always provide entertainment and lead readers on interesting adventures. This time is no different. It’s Harper’s birthday and some has left her a gift. Two other residents of Whitefall Cove also share her birthday; they also received the same type of present. Only those two wound up dead. Will Harper be next?
This book was a page-turner. It brings the Murder Club back together to try to help figure out who is behind the murders. Two different kinds of demons make appearances, and I hope only one will make return appearances in future books.
There’s lots of fun in this book. Gran, as always, is a character and a half. She’s kind of a combination of Stephanie Plum’s Grandma Mazur and Lula. Picture those two all in one person and you’ll have a good idea about Gran, then add in magic, and you wind up with a good dose of hilarity. This book can stand alone; although, it’s probably better to read at least the first book in the series to get an idea of the relationships and how they formed.
I loved this book, and I love the series. They’re beautifully written and keep you guessing. If you’re into cozy paranormal mysteries, then this is likely a good fit for you.
I received an ARC of this book from the author. I thank her for her generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.
I love this series. Although the main point is murder the result of that action led to Tiny developing friendships with several people in the town. Good mystery. I hope there are more books coming in this series.
Amazon synopsis: Tiny the giant fairy is intent on making life difficult for the residents of Whitefall Cove. But what happens when the cranky mechanic turns up dead in her garage?

As I set out with book 1, I was totally hooked. I had to keep reading till I got threw all to write this These are awesome, don't stop till you have read the series, laughing, yelling, and yes i did curse the writer at times, but well worth my time of reading. What is do amazing about these stories is how you can go from laughing to crying to hating the author for killing off someone no matter if they were bad. To telling the author oh yeah that's how you do it. To listen I want more stories. Just know I would recommend this book to anyone even YA, this is a good old fashion love mystery action, but there is talk of death so make sure if anyone young reads it that they can handle hearing, reading, understanding of death, this made my month. I enjoyed this book and all the others. It is wonderfully written, and the character's you will fall in love with, and some you'll not care so much for, to this great author who I will check out other books or series she has written and check them out as well. Hope there is a new one soon. For I do love true mystery with twists and paranormal to boot. Happy reading.
We all share something in common and that would be our birthdays. The first death on this day looked like an ordinary accident, the second death on this day not so much so what’s going on. On closer investigation things start to get very interesting and it looks like there may be a case of blackmail going on, a new demon is found and it turns out that they are very domesticated and can certainly cook. Of course there is always the funny with gran in these books man has that lady got some strange dress sense but my hat goes off to her for being comfortable and heaven help the poor students at the academy. Harper is given an ultimatum that she has to start taking her witch duties with a bit more responsibility and you’ll understand why once you’ve read the book. Harper and Jackson don’t seem to have progressed much in their relationship at the moment but I’m sure that’s coming. I would love to see some progression with Monica and Jenna’s characters maybe have them find someone to maybe settle down with. Overall an enjoyable series that is easy to read.
There is too much going on in Harper Jones world. Her Gran recently started a part-time position at Drixworths Academy for Witchcraft & Wizardry. Unfortunately, Gran has never learned to conform from her clothing choices to her potion’s classes. Because of this, Gran is already on probation for her unconventional teaching methods among other infractions, while Harper tries to keep her head down and stay uninvolved with the school issues. While Harper is preparing for a special birthday date night with her guy, Detective Jackson Ward, she receives an anonymous gift from someone that almost gets her killed. Others who share the same birthday are not so lucky and are found dead. Who would want to hurt her? When and Gran decide to get involved in the investigation, Jackson is not happy as he is worried for Harper’s safety. Hopefully, Harper will survive to share time with Jackson on another day. This is my honest, voluntary review of an advanced reader copy of this book.
This series has everything that should make it a standout. There is the elderly, wacky, inappropriately-dressed, witchy relative. There's the hot cop boyfriend. There's the cadre of besties for the MC to get into trouble with. The plot is well-paced. The ending, a suitable twist. I like that there isn't a whole bunch of drama around the MC insisting on sticking her nose into police business. Instead of constant lectures, the hot, cop boyfriend has accepted that is what she's going to do and makes no big deal of it; indeed, he joins in on meetings of the "murder club". On the down side, all this makes this series feel like a re-hash of dozens of other similar series. On the up side, if you enjoy this other series, you'll like enjoy this one. For me, I just haven't really warmed up to any of the main characters yet; so this is a good series, but not yet a favorite for me.
Harper had a lot to think about. The mysterious deaths, which did not feel like accidents and also put a target on her back, her lack of reliance on her whitelight witch's powers and to add salt to the wound, her status in her coven made her feel tightrope. Oh yes, a lot to worry about! Fortunately, she was not alone and with her Murder Club and Jackson she had enough help and support to investigate the deaths, discover the culprits, and perhaps become more committed to her magic and coven. Like how the author sidetracks with the clues. Interesting mystery that, as always, has many possible culprits and things are not as they seem at first. Entertaining characters with many descriptions and funny comments that kept me amused.
We start the story with Tiny, at her shop. What does she do? What is she? What is special about the day bodies start dropping in this story? We get to meet Driz in this story! He's cool. I liked him! How and why did we meet him? Who ends up dead in this story was a surprise, except for the ending. That just made total sense! I lie Driz and cannot wait to see more of him throughout the series. Such a fun character. I wish I had his mad skills! You'll have to read and see what I am talking about! Enjoy.
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin' With M. Brennan.
When I started this series, cozy mystery was new to me. I have fallen head over heals for these characters! Ms. Hinchey is one of my favorites so I should have expected it. The humor was endless, suspense and action to keep you guessing, along with twists and turns you don't see coming. Harper and the gang have an uncanny way of getting into, and out of, trouble. Gran will never change, but who would want her too. The introduction of Driz, didn't see it coming, but I think he will be a great addition to the series. A wonderful read that has a little something for everyone. A must read! This is my voluntary opinion of an advanced copy I received.
This was a nice continuation of the Witch Way series. We see the same characters and meet some interesting new ones. You actually get to see more of one of Harper’s coven members in this one. It would be nice to see more of Harper and Jackson together. I don't mean sex related, I just mean more of them together that's not just part of the Murder Club. The pacing is consistent with the rest of the series. Though I was eventually able to figure out the culprit, their reason why was surprising, which was good. I definitely enjoyed this book. I am voluntarily reviewing this book, gifted to me by the author with no obligation.
Another fun cozy mystery with Harper and gang. Harper's birthday doesn't go to plan when dead people are found - and both of them share Harper's birthday! Of course Harper and the Murder Club are going to get to the bottom of this! Gran is such fun, as she has been for the whole series. And the interactions with hot cop boyfriend, Harper's best friends and the head Witch are all entertaining. We meet a new a new character - one who isn't supposed to be in this realm. You will have to read it to see how this turns out! A fun, easy to read cosy mystery.
Gaining power doesn’t necessarily mean Harper is comfortable with using her magic or trying to learn new methods and spells. After her crazy adventures in Australia, she would really enjoy a little low key.
Her hopes for a quiet romantic dinner with Detective Jackson fall apart in the face of several deaths of those who share her birthday
Is Harper a particular target, or will any target do?
A connection to her parents is evident, if somewhat vague
I really liked this book. It's Harper's birthday and others who share the same birthday with her wind up dead. Will Harper make it to live another day? The Murder Club has to work fast or she won't. I like that there is more than just murder and mystery which keeps me interested til the end. There are a couple new characters which I loved. I did not see the ending coming.....loved it. Can't wait to see more of the new guy. Highly recommend.
I received an ARC for my honest and unbiased review.
This series is a great way to get young teens interested in reading. The stories are not long but has so much involved in each story, they would not get bored in reading them. Harper picked the best job to have as a bookstore owner and being a witch. Also, the Murder Mystery Club, and the members, work great together. Harper's new boyfriend, Jackson, being a homicide detective, fits right in there. Harper's Gran is a very active senior citizen with eclectic tastes in clothes. You never know what she will be wearing or where she goes.
It’s Harper’s Birthday and the day keeps getting worse. She’s afraid the coven is going to kick her out and on top of that someone is trying to kill her. Gran still cracks me up andI want to Be like her when I grow up. I had the best time reading this book and I didn’t want it to end. It’s such an adventure reading this series. I love them!
I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.
Mystery, magic and a murder to solve! Harper, along with a great supporting cast of paranormals, has some sleuthing to do before she ends up the next victim - the bad guy/girl (??) was a total surprise - good job by the author! Looks like Harper will be getting more witchy responsibility in the future which should bring about more great adventures to read about. Good series that I totally enjoy.
Book 6 sees Harper's birthday approaching, only she gets an amulet that would have killed her instantly. Who would want to kill her on her birthday? 2 more dead bodies turn up, both sharing the same birthday & both in possession of the same amulet! Obviously, Harper and the murder club start investigating. Mysterious and funny as the previous books, with familiar characters returning & some new and interesting additions. Highly recommended!
Harper, Monica her vampire friend, Jenna the newspaper reporter, and Gran join forces to form their own murder club. Hilary the ghost hangs around as long as Jackson the cop, shows up. Magical creatures, portals, immortals totally engrossing reads couldn't put it down. Hope the author continues this series, in the future, left me wondering where they go next.
Absolutely love this book. It has everything! Laughter, suspense, mystery, murder....what more can you want!! Just when you think you've got it....something else happens. And part of me loves Tiny, simply because she doesn't put up with anyone's crap. But when people start dropping dead, can they be stopped in time?? You must read this amazing book to find out!
