Daughters: Words of Wisdom: Inspiring Personal Life Stories and Christian-Based Advice for Young Women

Rate this book
These are words of wisdom that I wish someone had shared with me. Words of Wisdom is a book about grace and redemption. I went down the wrong path, and I found myself lost, confused and broken. I felt like I had no one and nothing for the longest time. I gave up on life, and buried my pain with alcohol and drugs. I was depressed, anxious and I had suicidal thoughts. I was reckless, careless and spiraling out of control. I struggled for so long to find God, and to allow Him to help me. I went from being lost and broken with almost no will for living to a Christian woman who has found hope and passion for life again. I have been down a long road and I still face many struggles daily, but I know that I wouldn’t be here today if I did not have Christ on my side. It all started with faith as small as a mustard seed. Words of Wisdom features 6 key elements that helped me along the way. Those key elements include what I term to be the 6 P’ personal fulfillment through finding purpose, positive relationships, pursuing passions, putting God in charge, practicing mindfulness and persistent gratitude. I hope that my book Words of Wisdom helps you see that regardless of the struggles you face, He is always there for you. “We are daughters of the king,” Galatians 3:26.

As Christian women, all of us have had our share of trials and tribulations, some of which have caused us to lose the sense of who we are in the eyes of the Lord. We have gone astray, taking drugs and losing ourselves in a bottle of alcohol. We have suffered from various mental conditions that we can’t be proud of possessing.

I believe all of this became the impetus for the author, Angie Marie LaFollette, to write this book, sharing her journey out of the abyss she’d lived in for the longest time and losing a relationship with the Lord to becoming the Christian woman she is today.

Today, Ms. LaFollette has a good relationship with the Lord and recognizes His divine presence alongside her. Today, Ms. LaFollette is a woman who can truly sing, Amazing Grace, for this song epitomizes her journey from who she was before to who she is today by finding the Lord and making Him part of her life.

For wanting to have her fellow Christian women transform their lives so they too can sing Amazon Grace about themselves, I’ve given the author and this inspirational book 5 STARS.

I read this book via an Amazon KU [KINDLE Unlimited] download.
