Michaela Haze is a dog lover, mum of two, and a writer of paranormal, urban fantasy romance. In her spare time, she eats copious amounts of Japanese food.
From a stand-alone to a planned five part series. Lena and her guys are back. Shorter than the first and a lot more frustrating. I’ve never been on the receiving end of a cliffhanger from this author before. It’s pretty brutal.
So although it is shorter, there is a lot going on leaving more questions than answers. I suppose it has to get worse before it gets better but I felt so sorry for Lena. There isn’t a single silver lining for her. It’s just constant bombardment and opposition, from the other characters and the guys.
I did like the little moments between Mammon and the rabbit. Actually between Mammon and anyone. For the most part Lena is in a dark place but I did like how she won’t be able to lie. I also liked how the relationships feel genuine and Lena isn’t rushing things. A little mystery, a lot of frustration and questions. The culprit bored me a little and I’m likely going to wait until the series is complete and then binge.

I am trying to give the MFC a chance but it is a struggle. I honestly just skipped several pages at several points in the story because it adds nothing.
We are deep into the MFC evolution and she is still whining. I would respect her more if she new she was a princess and waited to be saved or if she tried to find her powers or learn about her role. Instead she doesn't the entire book crying, being mad she doesn't know anything but not being proactive and insisting she's part of the action then realizing she's a liability.
I'm still waiting to find out why Ryn's name changed, I'm waiting to find out the story is the paladin's (again where does the Bratva come into play) and what the heck happened to Avarice in Book 1 if Mammon had him under control!?!? Not to mention there's no good reason Kiara doesn't know anything and for being so close to Baba it didn't make sense why she's not being grilled for answers.
Why shouldn't the rebellion win? At the end of book 2 I don't care who "wins" which is not a great place to be.
The slow burn and lack of sex scenes hasn’t even bothered me when I usually read fast burn insta love smut :) But the story line is very captivating that I don’t even notice. The kisses are intoxicating because you can feel the depth of their feelings towards one another. Poor Mammon though we thought he was cured of his duality now he’s being stolen away and his true love doesn’t even know why.
I want to stand behind my 5 stars, I love this series this far. However, I do not usually read unfinished series and was not aware I had started one. I’ve tried to gauge when the next will follow but it’s been 2 years since the second book was published so I’m not sure if the series will be finished???? Hey Michaela if you read these reviews can you please let us know?
After finding herself the Queen of Greed, Helena has to discover more about herself. She is a dragon, but what does that really mean? Demons are dieing and as a ruler, she needs to figure out what is going on and save her subjects.
So much drama and miscommunication in the relationships. The one man not bound struggles to find where he fits in. The demon is overbearing trying to be helpful. The Fae overshadows her abilities with his own.
Helena has one hell of a learning curve dating men centuries older than her and more experience with hell and ruling. She has to find her own voice with even more challenges thrown at her.
I suck at writing review but I can't pass when it's a book from my favorite writer!
Awesome story! I love so much the world that Michalea Haze have created. As always, Haze gives us a strong female lead with flaws that we can reliate to. I have a soft spot for Mammon, Misha and Ryn. And dragons. How could it be not cool when it have dragons?
I can't wait for the next book. The cliffhanger is too much!
