Crossing Lines #2

Paths Collide

I didn’t want to believe it but those fuzzy memories were coming back in graphic detail. The mark on his shoulder was a dead giveaway. The distraction of his body staking its claim to my libido was hard to ignore. Quentin had gotten underneath my skin and was able to scratch the itch that I couldn’t alone.

He wasn’t the type of man I would normally find myself attracted to. He had traits that would make most women steer clear afraid to get too close to the fire at the risk of getting burned. There was something weighing heavily on his shoulders. Those strange phone calls had put him in a sour mood. He wasn’t willing to talk about it.

Gail was a breath of fresh air and it was hard not to feel something more than a physical desire for her. I was afraid of getting too close. My life didn’t have room for a heartfelt connection. I was running on empty and the feel of my past breathing down my neck had me on edge. When will I learn never to mix business with pleasure? I should’ve known there was no place to run.

After getting out of college, Hannah's dream was to become a bestselling author. Do to the success of Hannah's first book "Crossing Lines- Forbidden Cross" her dream became a reality. The book became a #1 Erotic thriller. Hannah would like to thank her fans as she could not have done it without them. When she isn't writing captivating, seductive, ravishing reads she likes to go on hikes, work out, o and be dominated in the bedroom. She is also a dare devil as she will do anything from bungee jumping to cliff diving and she's not afraid to back down from a challenge. When she is not doing life threating things, she is most likely sitting in her NYC apartment wrapped up in a blanket with a glass of wine petting her roommates dog Miles watching Netflix. So if this is your first time here, pick a read and settle in. I'm here to give you a taste of something enticing if you dare.

The stories could definitely be all one book. The steamy scenes tends to get overly flowery with the descriptive adjectives that it can be distracting (ie: the spigot of his masculine persuasion ). My gosh, I never knew someone to try so hard to call it what it was. If you like overly flowery ways of saying the ACT, this is the book. There is no dirty talk here. The plot still continues as some bombs are dropped.

I read this immediately after finishing book 1 and you really do need to read it that way otherwise you are going to be even more lost and confused at what is going on and why. I’m glad this is a short book as I found myself skimming over a paragraph here and there. On to book 3 to see if we have a brilliant finale.

Crossing Lines- Paths Collide is book 2 in Hannah Hilton's Best Friends Brother Romance. This is not a standalone read. This is the continuing story from, , Crossing Lines- Forbidden Cross. Book 2 is just as gritty and steamy hot as book one. This is a the perfect book for people who like a quick read and love a good cliff hanger.

First I was not impressed with this book because once I got to the middle I knew what was going to happen when gloria mentioned she hasn't met anyone who could satisfy her sexually. No exploration why she moved in with Samantha.
