I was in desperate need of a nanny.
After all, being a single dad who is also the tech world’s most influential player, is no easy task.
Becoming a pioneer and a trendsetter in business has been my main focus, especially after my wife died three years ago.
There’s no time for hobbies or recreation, and I have no interest in dating. There’s much more important things in life to focus on.
But when Madeleine Wright walks through my door and my eyes fix on those damned dimples, I know I am in trouble.
Even though I know she’s off-limits: she’s younger AND the nanny. Talk about a cliché.
And Hank Lorum doesn’t do clichés.

HOT SINGLE DAD
A slow burn that ignites at the end! A forbidden love that slowly starts building between Maddie and Hank. He is her employer, the father of the little girl Geraldine, whom she looks after. The friendship that builds between Maddy and Geraldine is sweet not to mention the sexual tension between Maddy and Hank! Can't wait for the second installment after reading a free copy of this book. This is my honest review I voluntarily give.

It's was not my kind of book. Not that it wasn't well written and a good story, but I could not feel the protagonist at all. I'll try a different book😍

The tech billionaire and the new nanny
Enticingly His is the first "book" in the From Loss To Love series. The story is about Madeleine Wright, aka Maddy, who is interviewing for a nanny job with Hank Lorum, a billionaire tech mogul, for his very smart and adorable five year old daughter Geraldine, Gerry. Hank's wife died when Gerry was two years old so she does not have memories of her but knows that she was an artist, a talent with Gerry also has. Maddy gets after an interview which was continually interrupted by Hank's phone but in the end she is given the job and starts the next morning at 8:00 am.
Gerry is more than a little bratty during their first meeting over breakfast with Hank also there. But Maddy dealt with Gerry well by treating her as an adult but also teaching her a lesson about taking responsibility for something that you have caused without punishing Gerry. Hank observed this and was very impressed as it "was an approach one other nannies adopted."
Gerry and Maddy slowly get to know each other over the next few days with Maddy always engaging the young girl in thoughtful ways. This results in Gerry returning to her non-bratty behavior which impresses Hank even more.
As this is happening Maddy and Hank are also starting to get to know each other more, since Maddy lives in the house. They have several late night conversations and one drunken one also, or at least Hank is drunk as a skunk.
However, Gerry has a severe asthma attack one day while starting a hide and seek game with Maddy. When Gerry's inhaler does not help Maddy rushes Gerry to the hospital phoning Hank to have him meet them there. Gerry spends the night and so do Maddy and Hank, thus bringing them closer still. The next day Gerry comes home and later that night after she is asleep Hand and Maddy get some real alone time that becomes more than hot and steamy. But will this cause things to become strange the next day? What will happen if Gerry finds out? We will just have to wait for Book 2 of the series to find out.
This is a well written and great start to the story of Maddy, Hank and Gerry. The story-line is well thought out and has a natural progression to it, as Maddy and Hank don't just hop into bed immediately even though they are attracted to each other. I am looking forward to the next book.

Madeline shows up to interview for a nanny job however she isn't exactly prepared to be a nanny. Hank doesn't call her on her crap until he sees her studying up on some things she said she knew about. Sparks fly between them and soon Hank is forgetting how he wasn't interested in dating and wants to be with Madeline. Madeline shows that she is great at taking care of his daughter and that makes him want her even more. Will Madeline give into temptation with Hank?
This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Madeline has an interview to be a nanny for Hank Lorum, Tech billionaire. Geraldine, the five year old, is a little smart ass lol. Lady doesn’t treat her like a child as so you bind with her. Over time her and Maddy become close. Hank starts to look and Maddy and notices little things about her. After his late wife, he hasn’t really had time for anything other than work and Geraldine. Maddy sees her boss not only as sexy, but a handsome human being. After an incident with his daughter, Hank looks at Madeline a little more closely and wants her. Recommend this shirt story and can’t wait to read the next chapter in this relationship.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in the From Loss to Love series. In this book, Maddy is hired as a nanny for Geraldine (Gerry), a five year old girl who is being raised by her father after her mother died. Hank is a workaholic and a tech wiz, but he needs help raising Gerry. Maddy was an English major and decided to work as a nanny. Maddy loves books and tries to bond with Gerry over her favorites. Hank is attracted to Maddy and is having a hard time fighting it. Maddy tries not to want Hank, but they grow closer. I love that Hank is also a lover of books and wants to pass that on to Gerry. Hank wants to move on, but he also feels guilty for his feelings. I look forward to reading more.

This an exciting, entertaining storyline. I was hooked right away. The chemistry between Hank and Madeline is hot. There is a cliffhanger which, in this case, is okay because I happen to have the next book in the series!! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving this review

I received this Arc in exchange for a fair and honest review - this is a short read, beggining of a series. It's fast-paced setting up the story. Hank is a busy business man who is raising his 5 year old girl. He hires Madeline to take care of her. It's a sweet and steamy read!
