Some said it was over. It isn’t. Others thought they understood. They didn’t. Discovering the source rewrites history . . . again, and transforms the future. We will all be forever changed.
USA TODAY Bestselling Author Brandt Legg uses his unusual real life experiences to create page-turning novels. He’s traveled with CIA agents, dined with senators and congressmen, mingled with astronauts, chatted with governors and presidential candidates, had a private conversation with a Secretary of Defense he still doesn’t like to talk about, hung out with Oscar and Grammy winners, had drinks at the State Department, been pursued by tabloid reporters, and spent a birthday at the White House by invitation from the President of the United States.
At age eight, Legg's father died suddenly, plunging his family into poverty. Two years later, while suffering from crippling migraines, he started in business, and turned a hobby into a multi-million-dollar empire. National media dubbed him the “Teen Tycoon,” and by the mid-eighties, Legg was one of the top young entrepreneurs in America, appearing as high as number twenty-four on the list (when Steve Jobs was #1, Bill Gates #4, and Michael Dell #6). Legg still jokes that he should have gone into computers.
By his twenties, after years of buying and selling businesses, leveraging, and risk-taking, the high-flying Legg became ensnarled in the financial whirlwind of the junk bond eighties. The stock market crashed and a firestorm of trouble came down. The Teen Tycoon racked up more than a million dollars in legal fees, was betrayed by those closest to him, lost his entire fortune, and ended up serving time for financial improprieties.
After a year, Legg emerged from federal prison, chastened and wiser, and began anew. More than twenty-five years later, he’s now using all that hard-earned firsthand knowledge of conspiracies, corruption and high finance to weave his tales. Legg’s books pulse with authenticity.
His series have excited nearly a million readers around the world. Although he refused an offer to make a television movie about his life as a teenage millionaire, his autobiography is in the works. There has also been interest from Hollywood to turn his thrillers into films. With any luck, one day you’ll see your favorite characters on screen.

This is book number 5 in the series. If you like science fiction, you will like this book. In this book the author takes us into the world of the Cosegans. It is found out that the name of the "Crying Man" is Trynn, who he is trying to stop the collapse of both the current time and of the Cosegan time 10.8 million years before us. The Terminus Clock is the invention that tells how much time is left until Terminus Doom or "doomsday". From what is understood, both times are joined together so if one dies the other dies also. Trynn is the maker of the Eysens and through them is trying to stop the Terminus Doom from happening. There are also 2 other groups that are trying, the Imazes and the Etherens which have different approaches to the same problem. The Imazes want to go physically into the future, while the Etherens want to meditate to see if there is a connection. All three of these groups have presented their ideas to the Arc, or the leader of The Circle. She approved of the Imaze's approach and made the production of globotite which powers the Eysens, illegal. There is smuggling of this element which makes Trynn a criminal in their world, but there must be proof of his misdeeds.
A fascinating story full of excitement and reason for deep contemplation. But, as too often happens, it has run long enough and now is simply dragging on looking for an ending. The supply of plot twists and confrontations has run low and is searching for ways to continue. I truly hope this will not be one of those series where it runs out of steam and simply staggers to an eventual weak finish. However, I am still enjoying the books. Some of the characters are engaging - mainly the original ones. The concept of suspected space aliens being time travelers is interesting. But I wonder: if there is enough globotite to create new Eysens, why can't it be used to contact Rip and guide him? If someone can time-saver to hide Eysens, why can't they contact him in person? What is the Nostradamus failure? I guess I will just have to hope I find the next book when it comes out and hope we get some answers.
I hate to admit it but I like these fictional action stories. I won't give away the story but the Cosegans are in peril and Rip and company hold the key to their survival. However, it doesn't end there as Mr. Legg has set you up to have to buy book 6 to find out how it ends.
These books are addictive. I have several books in the wings waiting to be read. I tell myself I am going to take a break from the Cosegan roller coaster and read something else. However, at the end of each book I find I can't. Enjoy the ride my reading friends!
A continuation of what went before. I thought this book offered very little in the way of plot or character development and that left me wondering if this was just a contractual obligation piece? Perhaps setting up the next one in the series?. Overall an enjoyable but not a gripping read.
I was not interested in this type of genre but as i read more i became immensely intrigued. It captivated my attention and I became extremely interested in these books even if they're in a sequence style. Awesome how the autor can captivate and keep your attention. Just Awesome!! p
This book introduced the Cosegans to the story , giving their dire situation and explaining Crying Man's (Trynn) need for help. This is a terrific futuristic and old view of two civilizations on earth . Only backwards. Futuristic is 11 million years ago ! Lol Very well written , maybe one typo . The series keeps you reading .
I read the first four books in this series quite some time ago, and enjoyed them. But I had some refreshing to do on the storyline. I found this book to be extremely confusing with long detailed discussions about scientific issues which were probably total nonsense. Not sure about book 6.
I have read all of Brandt’s books and can never seem to put them down. Then, when I’m finished, I’m craving the next installment. I’m now between the Chasing series and Cosega series and feel like I’m in the desert looking for a drink of water.
I have read this whole series so far and I am not disappointed. This is a great set of books with a very good and very suspenseful storyline. I recommend anyone that likes mystery and suspense to read it.
3 stars. Digital book. Sci-fi books don’t need to be so damn complex! I didn’t follow a lot of what we learned about so none of the urgencies really landed for me. Sadly, my least favorite of the series so far.
Another fantastic thriller/science fiction story, continuing what the author started in book 1. You won't believe what happens toward the end of this story!
This book was definitely a jolt from the previous four books. Many new characters giving us a look into the past. Extremely interesting . On to the 6th book
I recommend the review that Rich Buickerood wrote. The book should be a nice light read but isn't.
I've found certain YouTube channels which are more entertaining.

See my review of Powers of the Earth, the comments, other reviews. If my experience seems normal or acceptable, please read no further and avoid my reviews in the future. If you can read the comments and look away, please do not waste your time reading my reviews. After three years of harassment and meaningful exchange with one person, I closed my reviews to comments. I am a communist and now it is the time to establish my personal standards, which are not those of Goodreads, Amazon or the bulk of american members. I have had many americans respond to my reviews with only one comment about the book.
Claes Rees, Jr, and the white nationalists, etc who followed me, according to Fox adore Putin. To them I say.
GLORY TO UKRAINE !
If anyone reads this odd review, I wish you a wonderful morning, relaxing afternoon, a pleasant evening and night. Hope is a powerful verb.
