Khusu' is not in your hand, but it is a gift from Allah - author.
What I learnt from this book :
Salah is one of the five pillars of Islam. As Muslims, we submit to Allah.
The prove of submission to Allah is by performing our ibadah.
Salah is a form of physical obedience to Allah - we don't submit to Allah with just our heart.
If we don't understand this, salah could be just a routine.
And the fact that Allah let us perform salah is actually part of His Divine Gift, and we should thank Allah for that.
It is very difficult to describe this book.
You might find the points repetitive but if you really read it with your HEART, and practice it in your salah, then inshaAllah you will benefit something from it.
Seek knowledge with a sincere heart, to get connected to Allah and you will find what you are looking for.
Writing this as a reminder to myself.

there are a few tips to master kushu':
📿 Gratitdue
pray your prayer in a state of gratitude
📿 Sincerity
pray your salah in a state of sincerity
📿 Pray as the Prophet Muhammad PBUH prayed
learn how our Prophet Muhammad saw performed his salah.
📿 Mindset
put your soul and head in prayer. just put everything you have and forget about dunya just for a while. you are standing in the presence of Allah swt.
📿 Your best is not Enough
means here is you can never pay Allah swt back. you can never give Allah swt what He deserves. in a sense, still what best for you isn't enough to repay Him.
📿 Ihsan
when you pray/worship Allah swt, do it as if you seeing Him. Ihsan is when you pray, you are eready to give Allah swt as best as you can, you offer your efforts. Prophet Muhammad himself worshipping Allah as if he sees Him. Allah observes us all the time.
📿 Garment of Taqwa
covering aurah leads to inner or spiritual beautification. of course, when you go to date, to meet someone special, to meet someone that you love, obviously you have to dress up preoperly. same goes to stand in a prayer. you have to wear something beautiful, you have to cover your awrah and be in a presentable shape bacuse you are standing in the presence of Allah swt. when someone is covering their awrah, automatically you are oresenting yourself to Allah swt in your best condition/appearance. masyaAllah 😭🤍🤍🤍
therefore, next time, listen to the Adhan, focus on its meaning, each of the sentences. masyaAllah wallahi, it's so beatiful. 🤍 when you contemplate on all of these meanings, automatically you will attain kushu'.
i read this for 20 minutes straight. this book had been in my wishlist for so long and alhamdulillah, i finally got my own copy.
there are a few tips to master kushu':

Buku ini memang sangat nipis dan sepatutnya, aku boleh habiskan bacaan dalam masa hanya satu jam. Tetapi tidak, aku mengambil masa untuk menghadamkan setiap ayat yang aku baca. Ternyata buku ini memberi impak yang sangat besar buat aku. Meremang bulu roma, menitis air mata ku ketika membaca buku ini. Semoga aku dapat memanfaatkan setiap ilmu yang aku perolehi daripada pembacaanku ini.

A very beautiful and powerful booklet indeed. Takes you right in. My take from the book in two lines, and I quote the author, " Khushu is the connection that you have in salah and outside salah. You cannot be connected to Allah swt in the mosque and disconnected outside."

Thin book that you could finish it in less than an hour. Its very beneficial with tips given. Its not wordy but you can grasp the tips given very well. Love it !
