A Dark High School Stepbrother Bully Romance.

“Let the games begin…”

My words to Trent, one of the Kings of Hawk Academy.
He and his brother James were the most gorgeous and dangerously cruelest guys I’d ever met.
And I was offered the chance to be part of their ritual.
A chance I couldn’t say no to.

Hawk Academy is a different world.
Old rules. Old traditions.
But all of this was new to me.
I wasn’t one of them.

Yet, they expected me to fall in line, as if their sky-blue eyes would make me forget the way they tortured me.

They may be the kings of Hawk Academy, but when I find out their secrets, I’m going to bring them and these old walls tumbling down.

Whoa…. this book has it all:

✓Humiliation
✓Angst
✓Grief
✓Bullying

And this storyline is dead serious…. literally.

How can a story of a bunch of teenagers be so cruel? So immature? So immoral? When you read Bad Intentions, you’ll see. Vicki’s dad is MIA, she was told he died. Her mother was killed by her stepfather when she was a senior in high school. Six months into the marriage, the stepfather has raided all the money in the accounts, kills the wife/mom and disappears. Vicki is left with nothing, but her mother’s will. She is to go finish her senior year at an exclusive private school, Hawk Academy.

It’s here that the rest of the story takes place. The place is full of rich kids, kids want to make life a living he11 for ‘outsiders’. When Vicki has had enough, she’s ready to go back to Utah and stay with friends. But the head master lets it slip that he knows her dad. That’s all Vicki needed. Now she’s on a quest to find out who her dad is and if he’s still alive. She has to stay at Hawk Academy.

I found this a quick read…. I finished it in one day. And, yes, Vicki does find out who the man that fathered is. But, it’s not an easy quest for Vicki and she pays a big price for that information, and that price is not in dollars.

👁 OBSERVATIONS:

This book is not for everyone. The main characters may be teens but the subject matter is very adult. It’s hard to wrap my mind around the moral depravity regarding these teens, especially what happens in the last two or three chapters. On one hand we have an immature and innocent Vicki. On the other hand, see rich kids doing the unthinkable.

Some readers will read this book and stop there. Others will want to continue on to the next book to see where the story leads. This is a fast read, but not an easy one. The ending will have you cringing and wanting to know more, wanting justice, but also wanting to see if Vicki can out-manipulate the Hawk twins. I have a feeling their bullying has just begun. She is weak now but will be stay that way or learn how to fight back?

This may be about teenagers but it is not for teenagers. This is an adult read. I had a hard time deciding on how to rate Bad Intentions. Gave it four stars since it kept me reading wanting to know what would happen next. It kept me hoping Vicki would remain innocent but wise up. Kept debating between three and four stars. Three since the subject matter, especially at the end, was too detailed. Four since I kept turning the page wanting to see if Vicki would cave or stand her ground.

✍️ WISHES:
Want to know more about the stepfather. Will he be found and how? Just what is his story?

What is Vicki’s mom’s story? Why did she keep Vicki’s dad a secret?

This is a quick read but, is rather intense. Vicki is getting over grandma’s passing just before her mother is murdered by her newly minted stepfather. As her mother prepared for such an event, in her will she instructed Vicky to attend Hawk Academy. Vicky is relentlessly bullied upon her arrival. Her only reprieve is to enter into a competition where she has to be the final girl standing. After she becomes the chosen girl, she finally gets the attention of the Hawk twins only to be shared with them. I wont’t spoil the end but after she’s intimate with the boys, a secret is revealed and she has hell to look forward to. The cliffhanger was so subtle with hints that it truly caught me off guard. Now I’m even more intrigued as to what fresh hell Vicky will have to endure, and we thought her life would get easier...not likely.

I cannot believe all the great reviews. As a bully romance, it had some glaring inconsistencies. I think you should know:
- the writing is…okay. I could be wrong, but I kept mentally inserting commas or rephrasing a sentence in my head. It distracted me.
- More than 60% of the novel was setup, and I felt like the rest was rushed.
- The plot twist was easily guessed, and I was not surprised.
- The ritual that was mentioned late in the novel was a complete letdown. While I loved the idea of contestants trying to take each other out, it led to a lack of competition at the actual event.
- A couple of touches led to open-door sex at the last 90%. WTF? I might have enjoyed this had there been any real character development between the guys. Heck, any character development! One of the twins was completely absent all novel. The other was sympathetic like a cabbage patch doll, and I felt no real attraction.

This is the 1st book I've read written by Peitho; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This book is not for me. Don't meet all the players of the book until over 40%, the characters weren't interesting to me but other people may like them, and I saw the big reveal coming from way before the end. Skipped large potions. Sorry not my cup of tea. I do enjoy bully reads but this was not for me

All the potential in the world, the developing storyline was interesting and had the makes of a wonderful novel; however, I never could become engaged with my attention fully invested. I will definitely have to give this story another try later on.

I really, REALLY wanted to like this book. I made it half way and skimmed through the rest. I just felt like it was slow and kept on with the same issue for the first bit.

Vicki had a happy life until her mother remarried. Being a witness to domestic violence, she watched her mother transform from happy to abused. One night she sneaks out and at her friends house she's told that there's been an accident. Her mother dies and she's an orphan. Her stepfather Stuart disappears with all money, the bank forecloses and she's left without a home. Vicki discovers that family she has left really just think of themselves. Vicki is sent to Hawk Academy and it's an elite school. On her first day she is bullied and humiliated by her roommate. She throws up on the principal! The principal invites her to stay at the house. In class she stares at two hot twins only to be humiliated by them in class. Vicki finds out that their names are Trent and James, they are stepsons to the principal. They invite her to participate in a ritual for all new girls to the school. Through misdeeds she is the last girl standing. Under a spotlight in the gym Trent and James offer their protection as their girlfriend. Will she accept their offer?

This is such an AMAZING story! It is written in first person. It's like a diary as the reader becomes intimately a part of Vicki's life through her thoughts, feelings and experiences. The characters and characterisation of students and the principal are vividly described with their physical appearance, personality, motivations and actions. The bullying and harassment is described in such a way that at first Vicki is not aware of it until it becomes verbal. The story is well written and fast paced. There are many twists and turns as the story progresses. It's compelling to read. The story ends on a revelation and a cliffhanger.

All Vicki wants to do is complete her last year in high school and go on to Stanford University. But her first day at the Academy is miserable. She doesn’t fit in, she is bullied, and ends up sick. This is an emotional roller coaster of a journey for Vicki.....Her was killed by her stepfather and he hasn't taken everything from Vicki. Only thing she has is her mother's will that tells her she has to finish high school at Hawks Academy. This school is for the rich and entitled which they don't take to outsiders well. This is full of dark content, bullying, angst, humiliation, determination and the will to fight back. This book captivates you from the beginning until the end, if your looking for a book that intrigues your mind and you can't put it down, then this is the one for you. Grab your copy today and start reading. Look forward to the next book. Enjoy happy reading 📚

First book to be read by the author Sarwah Creed. I'm sorry this was just awful. Vicki loses her mom and found out the guy who her mom was dating and who molested her took her mom's money and she's left completely broke. Just to find out that her mom wants her to go to a fancy school ( we still don't know how it was paid for). Once she gets there she's bullied for no reason, she doesn't put up a fight, the principal knows who her real dad is, but yet so creepy and cryptic. So in order for the bullying to stop she has to be chosen to be initiated. Of course she wins. Just to have sex ( lose her virginity) with two people she doesn't even really know!! Just to find out they're her siblings!! I'm shocked I finished it, I don't even know if I want to read the second book.

Fantastically gripping read, dark and twisted, great storyline with events getting worse as the story progresses for the female lead character but what a twisted cliffhanger, a little different to what I am used to reading by Sarwah Creed, however excellent as I have come to expect. Very well written and the characters were amazing throughout, filled with dark events, bullying, hopeless, but also mystery, intrigue and a hot sexy scene just before a twist and cliffhanger ending. I cannot wait for what comes next in this series, really looking forward to reading book two.

This is book one in the Kings of Hawk Academy series. This story delivers alot of twists and turns as the story begins to unfold and we get to experience life through Vicki. Her mother passes away and she is sent off to a boarding school as her step father runs away after draining the bank accounts. Vicki struggles to fit in but also gains the attention of two brothers, Trent and James. They had a new layer of complication for Vicki. I enjoyed reading this story and interested in seeing where it goes. Enjoy!

Good book

This book gives you alot of back story in the first lot of chapters. Which is filled with sad outcomes but gives you more understanding about who Vicki is. From here she is left with no other option but to go to the academy her mum set up for her to attend.
When she arrives she is bullied as soon as she walks in the door. Which leads to her wanting to leave but with the help of Mr Hawk she stays. To be taken on a mad ride of twists and turns to end on a crazy discovery at the wrong time to leave you hanging needing the next book

Sarwah Creed did a great job on this story, it was a strong start to the series. The plot was dark and filled with many emotions. The characters were strong, the story was well written. Vicki's journey was an emotional rollercoaster, she has been through so much, she was a fighter though.
This was a great story, looking forward to reading more.
Thanks, Sarwah Creed. Great work :)
