Well written and concise book about the Civil War's impact on Louisville. I learned among other things that Union cows were allowed to graze at Cave Hill Cemetery and that Grant and Sherman met at the Galt House to strategize victory for the north. It was also interesting to read how divided the city remained before, during, and after the war.
