The first issue got us off to a great start, and this continues to get it right.

This is the kind of Aphra story I love, where there's more than a hint of tomb raiding, Indiana Jones style archaeological adventure!

But there's also the usual Doctor Aphra wit, and hints at her complex relationships with pretty much everyone she ever comes into contact with.

Oh, and there are quite a few references to the High Republic too, to satisfy those of eager to find out more about that!

I do not know what it is exactly, but I kind of like this series.

A strange combination of Star Wars with Indiana Jones. And it works.

Set in the Star Wars universe, but mostly staying out of the way of the main SW characters (mostly).

Thanks to Comixology Unlimited I get access to these issues.

My first book of the series (both this run and,,, ever) and I'm loving it! Space archaeology is already awesome, so space archaeology in the Star Wars universe is especially awesome.

This somehow felt rushed and yet not much happened, I’m not particularly impressed by the new Aphra series so far.

I was really impressed by issue #1 of this series. It's tough for the first issue of a comic to tell enough of a story to care about continuing in the series. Doctor Aphra's first issue in this series was able to do that. I'm happy to say this issue is still just as good.

Doctor Aphra's team is aboard their ship after their last shootout with Ronan Tagge's team. There's a bit of background into Aphra's previous business with Ronan along with her past of attending college with the future professor Eustacia Okka.

I like how the beginning of this issue has a recap from the previous issue. It's a nice refresher to remind myself where I left off last time.

I'm curious to get to know more of Aphra's team specifically Detta and Just Lucky.

Ronan Tagge seems to be a pretty annoying villain, but I want to see him become unhinged. I don't truly hate him yet, but he's kind of obnoxious.

I love everything about this series! I'm excited to keep reading.

STAR WARS: DOCTOR APHRA #2, available Wednesday from Marvel Comics, brings fans back to the infamous archaeologist/thief extraordinaire. That’s right, Doctor Aphra is back, and she’s already neck-deep in another quest (unsurprisingly).

Doctor Aphra is a character perfectly designed to fit Star Wars. She loves lore and legends – almost as much as she loves money. Her obsessions take her all over the galaxy, giving fans opportunities to see the farthest reaches available.

All while seeing the chaos that Aphra leaves in her wake. Aphra is not a good person, but Star Wars has shown us that great characters don’t have to be good. They just have to be good at what they do.

In Aphra’s case, that usually means backstabbing and coming up with ill-thought-out plans, you know, the usual. Somehow she always manages to survive, but not without burning a few bridges in the process. It’s what makes her who she is, though, and that’s why fans love her.

A bit slow but with a nice flashback of Doctor Aphra during her schooldays. She’s shown at least a little of her prior ruthlessness but not sure if a slightly mystical artifact is my favorite target.

Spooky and atmospheric. Like any good Aphra adventure, this one has her messy professional and personal lives overlapping. I'm invested in seeing where this goes.
