--Dalilah--
When people made reservations for my small bed and breakfast, they often filled out the special notes section to clarify things like dietary concerns or needing a fenced area for their dog.
Jasper should have left a special note warning me that he was sexy and single. He also should have warned me not to let my mouth hang open when I first saw him. And he definitely should have warned me not to let him rip my heart out on his way through town.
But as long as we followed my single rule everything would be fine.

He also should have warned me he wasn't good at following rules.

--Jasper--
Picking up my daughter for the summer should have been a seamless task. She meant everything to me, and I couldn’t wait to get her home so we could spend valuable time together.
That was Plan A.
Plan B involved the highway being closed, me falling for the owner of the bed and breakfast, and regrouping my entire life just to have a chance for more than one night with her.
But she was operating off of Plan C… enjoy the fling and don’t look back.

Another dirty-sweet, insta-love romance! Plus, this book is part of the DILFs for Father’s Day series. Read on to enjoy the rest of the sexy DILFs and Daddies!

After pursuing degrees in Genetics for nearly a decade, she realized the ‘chemistry’ of romance was a lot more fun to write about than the biochemistry of how our bodies work. She shared her stories with the world, was a finalist in a bunch of romance contests, and traded her lab coat for a laptop.
All of this was done with her college sweetheart by her side. He helps her pursue the HEA on a daily basis, even when she has her mind on sexy book boyfriends and cover models.

The couple: Jasper and Dalilah

Romance genre: contemporary
Series: A DILF for Father's Day
Length: 36 pages

Plot: Dalilah runs a bed and breakfast, and Jasper is a guest, on his way to pick up his daughter. His trip, however, is waylaid by a rockslide and a pandemic. It's okay at first because Dalilah and Jasper definitely find a way to occupy themselves. But Jasper is worried that Dalilah is only looking for a short-term relationship. How can he convince her to give him more?

Commentary: Well, Covid has even made it into our romance novels - not sure I like that. I didn't really connect with these characters, especially the heroine. Once she blocked his number, I thought he was well shot of her. Should have taken the hint and found someone willing to go all in. On the other hand, I guess some people dislike insta-anything, so this might be more their speed.

Next book in the series: Dream Daddy

Delicious Daddy

Barbra Campbell is a newish author for me and I was not disappointed with this story. It's one of just a few that I have read set during the covid-19 pandemic. I love how she used it but also didn't dwell on it. A fast paced love story with a non typical but very Happily Ever After.

Delicious Daddy is completely safe and free of any kind of abuse, cheating, ow/om drama, no others after meeting and no mention of any previous relationships (other than his daughter and ex wife) for either characters.

The bird carries my wish away to make it come true

Delicious Daddy by Barbra Campbell is the first book in the A DILF For Father's Day series with each book by a different author. This is the first book I have read by this author so was I looking forward to discovering a "new to me" author. This is the story of Dalilah and Jasper plus a quarantine.
Jasper lives in San Francisco and is a personal chef, earning a lot of money. He has a four year old daughter Cora who lives in the resort town of Powder Valley, Colorado with his ex-wife, Sylvia, and her new husband. He has driven to
Dalilah owns a bed and breakfast in the little town of Heartwood Springs which is just down the road from the resort town of Powder Valley. The B&B is her only source of income and she works hard to ensure it is successful, with lots of great reviews and always willing to cater to her guests requirements.
Jasper has driven two days from San Francisco to Powder Valley to Cora. When Sylvia got remarried and decided to move their loose custody agreement became one where she was awarded main custody and he got alternating holidays and several weeks during the summer. Unfortunately a rock slide the day before had put him behind by a few hours and Sylvia would not allow him to pick up Cora late that night. So he booked a B&B in Heartwood Springs for the night. When he arrived he met the owner, Dalilah, who was sleeping on the couch in the living room when he first saw her but she quickly awoke and then showed him around. He was instantly attracted to the beautiful and curvy woman. Early the next morning he was back on the road to pick up Cora. However, overnight the Governor of Colorado had quarantined all resort towns with no one who is not local getting in and no one getting out. Now he has to decide what to do as it may be a day or it may be several weeks. He decides to book at the B&B for at least one more night and then see if he can somehow get into Powder Valley to get Cora. When he arrives though Dalilah will not let him in as she has closed up, as they have been ordered not to accept any new guests. So now what.............you will have to read to see what happens.

This is a sweet, fun, interesting, emotional story that pulls from the current world events. The characters are nice and there is a lot that is packed into this fast moving and entertaining short story. I liked the author's writing and story-telling styles and her ability to add in several small details that added to the emotional aspect of the story. I will read more books by this author in the future.

Jasper’s one goal is to pick up his daughter at her mom’s house to spend the summer with him. But a rockslide stops his travel plan, slowing him down enough that he would not arrive until after Cora’s bedtime. His ex was strict about bedtime and suggested he come in the morning instead. Jasper spends the night at a bed and breakfast run by Dalilah, not realizing everything would begin to shut down by morning because of the pandemic! The police were stopping cars, but he was confused that one went through the barricade while another turned around. Was it still the rockslide? Instead, he was told to wait a week and see if the quarantine got lifted. Otherwise, he was not to enter Powder Valley unless his 4-year-old was in danger, which she was not. So he turned around and went back to the bed and breakfast.

Dalilah told him she was shut down by the governor’s order. He explained he was trying to get to his daughter. Her own father was a one-night stand with her mom and didn’t care to know her. Jasper’s desperation to see his daughter touched her heart. He sat on her porch step for a half hour, smiling, and she knew he talked to his daughter all that time. Her heart melted again. He was a great dad.

Going for a walk, getting to know each other, Jasper and Dalilah were ready to enjoy a night together. She wanted one-and-done, but he wanted forever and just maybe this time with her will let them see if there is something lasting here. Can he convince her to give it a try?

I had a bit of a hard time with the story since it has to do with COVID-19 and I was reading to escape from that not read about it. The story was a good one it’s about Jasper who is headed to a small town to pick up his daughter for the summer. Since he is running late he has to stay the night in a B&B owned by Delilah. The next morning, he leaves to get his daughter he has turned away on the interstate because of Covid having spread so quickly in the area, he heads back to the bed and breakfast but is told by Delilah that the governor said she cannot take any guests. He hast to stay on her property he spends the day in her driveway making phone calls trying to see how he can get his daughter from his ex-wife. Feeling bad Laila calls them inside they share dinner and sleep together that night Delilah tells him that she only wants it to be a one night thing but Jasper has true feelings for her. With his ex-wife’s help he is able to get his daughter a few days later and he takes her and returns to his home. He tries repeatedly to contact Delilah who blocks his number.
He eventually moves to her town to be with her. Epilogue 4 years later. I didn’t really connect with the characters, the relationship felt on sided, all Jasper, Delilah was in her own head too much.

Jasper et Dalilah
Daddy et girl

Cora (gille de Jasper)

📖
Dalilah–

This is a great story. It's perfect for an afternoon read. I didn't want it to end.

All Jasper wants to do is get to see his daughter. He is driving to pick her up from her mom's house. He stops overnight at a bed and breakfast that Dalilah runs. It's on the eve of the area closing down due to the pandemic. He tries to get to the town that his daughter lives but it's been closed by the morning. He begs Dalilah to let him stay even though she has to be closed on orders of the governor. She agrees and they start spending their quarantine together. Will they be able to make some more lasting when the area opens up again?

This book was great in so many ways! First off, an amazingly sexy DILF - you CANNOT go wrong wit one of those! Second, what makes him even more swoon-worthy, is how far this single dad is willing to go to be able to spend time with his young daughter. Third, you have a feisty, inherently kind B&B proprietor, that finally faces her fears about love and takes a chance. Letting go of baggage is hard, but Jasper makes Dalilah feel safe enough to take the risk. Through in all kinds of heat, and this book is one you will read straight through to the end! Loved it!

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
Delicious daddy is book one in the ‘’a DILF for fathers day’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable.
The chemistry between Jasper and Delilah is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Dalilah and Jasper were super cute together. These two were forced to spend 2 nights together while Jasper waited to get his daughter in a quarantined area. Dalilah pushes everyone away because of the way she was raised but Jasper was able to break through those walls. Jasper just wanted to make things work with Dalilah but Dalilah just wanted a clean break. Want to know what happens?.... Read it! This was a very cute HEA and I highly recommend it!

Jasper get to the Bed and Breakfast late. He meets Dalilah who owns the place and suddenly he's in love. She thinks he is super hot but she's lived by rules to not get involved because men never stay. They get quarantined due to the pandemic and they have the best night of their lives. These two are great together. They have an instant connection and the one night ruined Dalilah for anyone else. Find out if they can keep their love alive and how they manage that. Jasper is a man on a mission. He's driven from California to be with his daughter. The problem the report area where she lives has been quarantined. No one in or out. Jasper stayed at Daliah’s bed and breakfast just a few hours ago. The problem, it was mandatory to shut down by the govenor. He wants her and a place to stay. She is attracted too but feels she needs to follow the rules. Will she accept a relationship short or long because he is parent. No cliffhanger

Foolish Dalilah, she nearly lost the best thing that have happened to her because of her need for control. Thankfully, Jasper was patient enough and loved her enough to uproot himself, planted himself near her and and gain her love. And he's still thankful for her for loving him. He got his wish after all.

Dalilah is jaded towards dads and because of her daddy issues she almost misses out on the one of the best things to come into her life, Jasper.

Jasper is a single dad who is on his way to pick up his daughter for the summer when he ends up spending the night at Dalilah’s B & B.

These two have instant chemistry but each are questioning if they should move forward. You can’t help but to cheer for these two as they navigate through their lives.

There are no surprises in this story, but if you aren't in love with Jasper, then you have a heart of stone. I rarely truly feel for the hero like I did for Jasper, from his heartache at not getting to see his daughter to the heartache with the leading lady. It was a fun read which makes me want to read more by the author.

Jasper.
I can’t get to my daughter so, I stay at a Bed and Breakfast..
The owner is a goddess. I instantly loved her.

He’s only supposed to be here for one night then I get shut down.
Now he has no place to stay.
Can one more night hurt?
Not if he follows rule #1.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Jasper and Dalilah. She runs a bed and breakfast and he's passing thru. When the pandemic hits leaving him stranded at her house instead of getting his daughter, it is the beginning of a crazy relationship. She has fears and he's is determined to break them. Great HEA in the end.

A chance encounter due to a wide spread virus is the reason Jasper and Dalilah meet. The storyline is relevant with today’s circumstances and has a good twist of possibly finding something more than a one night stand. Though there are obstacles to overcome such as proximity and abandonment issues, can this unexpected couple connect once more.

DNF @ 70%

I read romance for the fantasy. To forget about real life and spend a few hours reading about mountain men or sexy firemen. I do not want to escape into a book that is affected by covid, with the depressing reality of 6 feet rules and businesses being closed. Add into that, a father that can’t get to his daughter, a woman who is broken because her father was never in her life, the whole thing is a giant sole suck and I seriously hate it.

He was more like fall in interest than fall in lust, let alone he was fall in love with h.

He had a ex-wife, and had a daughter, which means he will always put his daughter ahead of h. I only want to read romances instead of reading family stories.

I don’t like this one. They DON’T have ANY CONNECTIONS. H wasn’t fall hard and deep for h.
