I love this series! It's such a fun read! Joy has her baby and Cherish starts thinking more about her future. I love all the sisters with their different personalities. Also such interesting supporting characters. Never a dull moment in this family!
A Baby for Joy is book 15 written by Samantha Price in The Amish Bonnet Sisters series. The author continues to take her readers inside the lives of an Amish family and their secrets. The characters are mostly likeable but each has had a moment when they have faltered but just slightly. This family has many secrets and this story is about the secret Joy carries.
Joy has always been the imagine of the perfect Amish woman growing up. She always had a Bible verse for everything. Now married and expecting her first baby Joy carries a secret that is putting a big divide between her and her husband. Joy needing someone to confide in turns to the most unlikely of her sister's, Cherish. Cherish is 14 and very vocal about what she thinks not yet learning to have a filter. Cherish is very upset about Isaac's treatment of Joy that she goes to talk to Issac. Not making a difference Cherish takes the situation one step further when Issac arrives home for the birth of the baby and reveals the truth about the secret. Cherish is stunned by his reaction. On another part of the story Cherish has written a letter to Carolyn's parents(Carolyn is Favor's pen pal and house guest) which sets up another set of secrets but not until the next book.
I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that teaches the reader about keeping secrets. I am enjoying this series and each book keeps getting better.
Congratulations to Samantha Price on releasing another exceptional story about the Bonnet Sisters. Her characters are telling her stories with faith, love, and humor.
Joy finally has her baby in this book. There was an upsetting incident that happened to Joy and it was basically a misunderstanding with a store keeper. She was accused of stealing and since she considered it in her heart she admitted that she had taken something. This was long and drawn out and finally the truth surfaced.Caroline is still at the house. Cherish makes some red socks for Christmas gifts and Fairfax sets a wedding date.
A Baby For Joy came with so many interesting angles from all the family members in this amazing story. It showed how forgiveness, love, faith, strength, encouragement, kindness, and so many other emotions are shared between the Baker/Bruner/Carter Families and how they are all tested daily. Relationships are tested amongst friends, sisters, spouses, and family members themselves. It's such a touching story of all these emotions and how they deal with them. So many people assume the Amish are different from the rest of people, but they aren't at all! Just because they choose to separate themselves from worldly things, they still deal with the same things we do. You can't help but fall in love with these characters in this story, which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO READ, ALONG WITH THE PRIOR 14 BOOKS IN THIS SERIES!! I can say you won't be disappointed. You may laugh and you may shed some tears, but either way you will trul enjoy Samantha Price's stories!!!! I don't want to include alot of details because I believe it would spoil the book for those that haven't read it, but YOU DEFINITELY WANT TO READ IT & GUARANTEE(MY OWN OPINION) YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!! I WOULD SAY TO START @ BOOK 1 FOR BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF STORYLINE & CHARACTERS, BUT PLEASE DO SO!!!
In Samantha Price's unique style, she has given us the 15th 5-star book in The Amish Bonnet Sisters series, A Baby For Joy.
In this story, we follow the girls into winter, Christmas, and a new year. Caroline is still a houseguest, still not getting along with Cherish, but at least she is now dating the beekeeper's son.
Joy is expecting her baby any day now, but things are still not "right" with her and Isaac. As usual, Cherish tries to help. Will things ever get back to normal with those two.
Papers arrive making it legal for all the girls to share in the orchard and Cherish even gets a call from her farmhand. Now, why does that leave her with a tingle in her stomach?
So many twist and turns. As always, Samantha keeps us guessing right up to the end as to what will happen next, and wishing for more.
This is a wonderful addition to this series and I recommend you start with book 1 and read them all. You will not be sorry.
I was given an ARC by the author and was not required to give a positive review. The opinions are my own. Pre-order your copy today. The title will be released on June 30.
Another great book in the Bonnet Sisters series. I've loved watching the dynamics of this family. In this book Joy is concerned for her and Isaac's relationship after what happened in the store. Will things work out before the baby comes? When Joy tells Cherish what really happened she tries to help Joy by telling Isaac. Will things straighten out between them with Cherish involved? Joy has the baby and it's a... sorry you will have to read the book to find out if it's a boy or girl. Caroline is still with the family and Cherish is working to change that. Hope and Fairfax set a wedding date. Adam is concerned with his relationship with Bliss. He scares Bliss when he wants to talk to her about their relationship. As usual there is a lot going on and drama ensues. I recommend A Baby For Joy and the other 14 books in the series.
Samantha, has added another delightful book to her amish Bonnet sisters series.
I love this series, they just get better, with each new book.
This book has a real selection of characters, each with a problem to resolve of their own.
Wilma and Levi are faced with coming to terms with handing the orchard over to Florence. Joy is pregnant the baby is due. Cherish is once again up to mischief, even if its with a good intentions
How will this family settle their differences, whilst ensuring everyone is happy.?
This is a stand alone book. However there are some references to events, in earlier books.
Samantha is a very experienced author, who is very talented and always delivers a really good read.
A BABY FOR JOY...Samantha Price Beautiful cover, Joy has been thru a lot, with the tension now between her and Issac, and Levi. It wasn’t what people thought, they could have believed in her, that she would not steal. . The family celebrating the engagement of Hope for next December, Cherish tells Issac what really happened, and he feels bad for not believing in Joy. The happiness of their baby and new beginnings as a family is all Joy wants now. A story rich in the drama of children growing and finding their own way in life, the mishaps and the joys, are well portrayed. Given arc for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
Another great book in the Amish Bonnet Sisters series. I am always waiting on another one to see whats happening with the Bonnet sisters and let me tell you Cherish is at her tricks. In her thinking her helping Joy with a problem will her and her husband Issac with problems they are having. Can she straighten out a misunderstanding before the baby is born? Well written and book 15 in the series. Love the Bonnet Sisters. Sweet romance with some family drama.
Joy has a secret, and the weight of this secret is slowing crushing her spirit. Cherish is showing some growth in character, becoming less self-centered and truly caring for Joy. Wanting to ease Joy’s unhappiness, Cherish does a selfless act and even confronts Joy’s husband, to tell him the truth of the situation. Don’t expect this Amish family to behave like others you’ve read about. They are one of kind!
Loved the book it is part of a series of books by Samantha Price It is best if you have read any of the books it will make more sense. Joy is going to have a baby and sees a dress in a shop she would love for her daughter (which she don't know if it is a girl) It is a wonderful series that is best reading order to fully appreciate
This was a great book about forgiving and receiving forgiveness. You should never put your spouse through a test, because it can backfire like it did with Joy and Isaac. I also loved how the author took her time with the ending and not rushed. I still don't like Wilma's behavior, but I would definitely recommend this book and this author.
Cherish ….I am beginning to wonder why the series wasn’t named after her, because I know if she truly had existed she would probably think the same thing lol. I know the author had other characters in the book at different time, but it’s not near as fun as when Cherish is on the scene. Can’t wait to the read the next one.
I love this series, Joy had a secret that shes kept from her husband and has cause problems in their marriage, Cherish is determined to help straighten things out, as only Cherish can . I enjoyed it alot and cant wait for the next book.
These stories continue to be good except Cherish seems to always be be be center stage. She is even present as Joy gives birth. This book seemed to be more about her than Joy.
A Baby for Joy is the fifteenth book in the Bonnet Sisters series. It reads quickly and moves the lives of all the characters along. I enjoy this series and am on to the next one
Isaac is still upset over the shoplifting thing from the last book. Fairfax and Hope set their engagement. Joy has her baby with Issac and cherish and the midwife none of her fears come true.
I'm running out of things to say about this GREAT series. I love every book I've read and can't wait to start the next book. I recommend this series to everyone.
The question is why she ran home with a headache when her daughter Joy was giving birth to Faith? I suspect we are sewing a plot for later as we have seen in the past. Relationships are growing and lessons being learned, in this case forgiveness.
This book was kind of sad because Joy was close to having her baby and she and her husband were not getting along. But when the baby came they worked it out. The drama continues at the Baker/Brunner house. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
The dynamics of this Amish family show that they are not perfect people. One of the many daughters, Cherish, and her mother show character personalities affected by their past and present experiences. it might have been easier to start at the beginning of the series.
I enjoyed this book tremendously cannot wait to read the next book in this series each book gets better and better in this series cannot wait for book 14.
A Baby for Joy, was more than just having a new baby in the family. The issues within the family were what we already know, but it is nice to see improvements with each family member. Cherish always puts her mouth in her shoe, but she also has so many good qualities and more as she get older. Levi is finally a likeable person. Joy and Isaac need to be more open when a problem arises. Hopefully we will find out more on Wilma. AND of course we are wondering about Cherish and Malancia.
