Volám sa Madam X.
Moja minulosť je kdesi zamknutá.
Moja prítomnosť je v tejto pozlátenej klietke...

Madam X žije izolovaná v apartmáne, ktorý patrí jej milencovi a strážcovi Calebovi. Má ju celkom pod kontrolou, ovláda ju, vlastní jej telo, núti ju robiť, čo sa mu zachce, a pritom má zástupy iných mileniek.
No Caleb Indigo nemieni ustúpiť a chce Madam X vlastniť stoj čo stoj.

WARNING: Spoilers of book 1 and slight spoilers of book 2 to come...and a slight rant...ok a big rant...oh alright a huge freaking rant because WHAT THE HECK DID I JUST READ?!!!

When I read Madame X just a few short days ago, I can't say I was overly impressed. What I was, however, was intrigued. On the other hand I also hated the direction the ending took and I hoped beyond hope that this book will turn that around. Sadly, it only got worse.

So what's the deal? I FREAKING HATED CALEB. I know he's supposed to be all mysterious and intriguing and dangerous, but mainly I just thought he was a douchebag. Perhaps a hot one, but I could care less. Mark this day in your calendars, my friends. It's important. This is the first time you'll see me say that I hated an anti-hero douchebag. Yep. It's finally happened. I almost can't believe it myself. But I digress...

See Caleb is keeping things from X. In book one, you find out that one of his big sekrits is floor 6...AKA his harem. Basically, the man trains past hookers and drug addicts that he rescued? from the streets to be classy bride material. Or high class hookers. You know. Whatever. How does he "train" them? Oh on himself, of course. How to please a man 101 the intense edition. He has 10 girls on this floors, all of who he sleeps with for the sake of their "lessons". Bonus? X knows this because she caught him in book one. Extra bonus? He knows that she knows and still continues to do this while screwing her (and I do mean screwing because there's not even a hint towards an iota of intimacy here)
Best part? I don't recall a condom being used ever. He has one of his trainees give him head, and soon after he demands X does the same.

Look, there's redeemable and intrigued and then there's Caleb. There's nothing to him that I find appealing. NOTHING. Maybe that's the point? But that's not the vibe that the writing gives off.

None of this bothered me as much as X, though. This woman was so back and forth in the book, she gave me whiplash. She wants Logan, but can't give him her heart. She doesn't want Caleb's heart, but can't say no to sex. Back and forth, back and forth, back and forth...

I couldn't understand how she was OK sleeping with Caleb after everything she knows. She's watched him have sex with other women. She knows what he does with them...and yet she just can't deny him because her body wants him. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!

So let me get this straight; she knows he's keeping something big from her about her past. She knows that his business may not be all that legitimate. She knows that he screws past hookers and drug addicts from the street for the sake of "lessons". She knows that he sleeps with all 10 of the women on that floor but each night he goes to her and they screw. She knows all this and yet she still willingly gives it up to him?! Yes, I get that she may be brainwashed, but come the hell on! If I knew all this about my "captor", would I willingly keep going back to him from the arms of a man that's basically offering me salvation AND sleep with him too? Allow him to almost use me sexually in a degrading way because "I'm his and only his"?

There's OTT and then there's OTT and this book ran over that OTT line with a mack truck. Then backed up and ran it right over again.

I skimmed the rest of the book and sadly this rinse and repeat cycle of back and forth of Logan to Caleb continues the entire time. And then it hits you with a hell of a cliffy and BAM! That's that.

Sometimes you know when a book is just not for you, and this is that case for me. So I'm waving my white flag of defeat. I gave it the old college try but I'm done. I don't care what happens in the next book and I definitely won't be reading it. This is just too much me.

But judge for yourself. There's many a reader that enjoyed both installments so maybe it's just a case of me. Sometimes you know a book isn't your cuppa and this clearly wasn't mine.

5 BILLION (I Love Jasinda) STARS!!!!

Oh Jasinda… how you are with words. How you make me feel so many emotions. I grip your pages, I hold on to your books as if my life depends on it. I love and hate you. I love your stories and hate that I want more. I always want more, yet you satisfy me.

Exposed is a raw, gritty and additive tale about secrets, lies, passion and mystery. You will want to block off hours of your day to read this series because it packs a punch and it will devour you.

I got this book about a month ago. I was really happy when I saw it and I almost cried. I wanted to dive in to it right away, but I knew… I knew once I read it, I would be sucked into this dark world. So I waited… but I could not hold out any longer.

I’m always nervous going into the second book of any series, but I did not expect what I got. As a reader and reviewer, Exposed is the kind of dark, twisted dramatic book I crave for. I wanted to feel the pages in my veins and never get off from my high.

“I feel like I’m drowning, sometimes, like you’re an ocean and I’m just trying to stay afloat. And… the thing is… I want to drown in you.”

In Madame X we know she picks Caleb at the end. YAY! I’m team Caleb. I love him, I love how crazy and obsessive and manipulative he is. He’s not an easy Hero to love and that makes me love him more. He knows so much and yet he won’t let it out. Gah, it kills me. When I got into the book, I was wondering if Caleb would change his ways, considering he lets Madame X live with him now. Caleb is a real struggle. Just when you think you got him somewhat figured out, he pulls the rug under you. It’s heart breaking and thrilling at the same time.

“I want to be anyone other than the addict, the Caleb-junkie, the no one, the girl on her knees, taking what you give as if it’s all I’m worth.”

Madame X has the same struggles as I do. She cares for Caleb, but she wants more. She wants a relationship, a two sided relationship. She beings to voice her concerns and opinions a lot more and Caleb isn’t too happy about it.

And then there’s Logan. Logan is the perfect guy. He takes Madame X with flaws and all. He’s not domineering like Caleb and Logan is willing to do anything to help answer Madame X’s questions. The big question of, who is Madame X? What is her name? How did she lose her memory? Can she trust Caleb? Can she trust Logan?

That’s what I SUPER love about this series. I love all the secrets, I love figuring out the answers with Madame X and I love not knowing who she can trust. It’s so GOOD! Madame X is desperate to learn about who she is and she needs Caleb for that, BUT Logan gives her what she wants and craves as a woman.

So, I’m not a fan of Logan, he’s the “nice” guy, BUT in Exposed, you will see different parts of Logan and if you are team Logan, then you will be SUPER happy with Exposed.

“I give Logan every corner of me, I don’t look away, I let him look into me, and I take that same from him. It’s a gift.”

Overall, Exposed is a trip, it will blow your mind and when you are done, you will simply crave for more. The book isn’t easy to read, there are some parts you will be frustrated, some parts you will cringe and some parts you will just gasp for breath, but in all honesty I wouldn’t have it any other way.

You will not be disappointed with Exposed.

I swear I feel like this series is haunting me. I always say I refuse to continue on with a series I am not in love with or even in like with. My reading time is super valuable to me and there are just too many books out there to waste my time on something I don’t love/like. Yet here I am dying for the freaking sequel. Ugh, Jasinda Wilder, you are killing me.

“My identity is not…linear. It is…fractal. It is disrupted. False. Created. I am not me. I am a me that you created.”

So this series has a ton of sex. I am okay with sex, I love sexy books, but this one is just too much. So here I am listening at work, waiting for yet another sex scene to end. Then a bomb is dropped and I am like damn, I can’t quit now. Then more sex, then another bomb. So here’s the thing. I am not giving up now, I need to freaking know what happens. So I am doing something I never do, I am going to continue on with a book that may ultimately let me down, because I am hooked. I am addicted to knowing the truth.

I wish I could say Exposed will give you more answers, but truthfully we don’t even know the truth ourselves. So while I would like to believe we know more about X’s past, but what’s true and not true is still debatable. In the end, you are left with just more questions and this reader is just hoping the ending will be full of answers and a little less sex.

I need a minute to gather my thoughts around this book. Undoubtedly, the first part of the book was fabulous and this one is no less. As I was reading this book, my mind was literally swirling badly. What the hell was going on in the book? As if it was playing with my mind. So many questions are yet to be answered and I'm waiting desperately for the third part to be out so that finally Caleb's facade can be worn off.

"My identity is not... linear. It is... fractal. It is disrupted. False. Created. I am not me. I am a me that you created."

The story did not let me waiver from my seat even for a second. As soon as I saw the book was released I had to read this one hell of a book. Obviously I'm glad I did. It played with my brain, round and round, but I enjoyed the suspense in the story. I've to wait for the third part to be out. Humph!!!

"I give Logan every corner of me, I don't look away, I let him look into me, and I take that same from him. It's a gift."

"I'll feel like I'm drowning, sometimes, you're like an ocean and I'm just trying to stay afloat. And...the thing is ...I want to drown in you."

Way the story is unfolding is keeping my mouth hanging open. I'm obviously drawn towards Logan due to his past and how he cares for X in his sweet little way but damn how can you not like Caleb. He is difficult undoubtedly, manipulative but his dominant ways can get anyone swooning. When you know that finally Caleb is opening up to X, right then and there he'll pull the rug from under your feet. I want to understand him and know his web of lies. Soooooo many questions. I need the book as in now. I'm not gonna write even a glimpse of it. Read the story...this is one hell of a ride.

"You are my path Logan.
I sure as hell hope so. And, believe me, Isabel, I won't take a single moment for granted. Not even if we have a fucking thousand years together."

Jasinda Wilder is an amazing writer. Her stories are so profound that you cannot move from your seat without reading the whole book otherwise your mind will move around to get back in the story. I actually enjoyed reading it. The story is full of suspense and mystery and loads of hot scenes, no wonder. Her books are so addictive that when the series will finish you're gonna crave for more. She is that superb.

"Love is a painful emotion. I'm realising. It cracks open the walls around my heart. Demands honesty of me. Courage. Vulnerability. Humility. It is not a light, frilly, easy, storybook thing, where the hero and his lady can ride off into the sunset together. The lady must be a warrior as well, willing to face the darkness with him; she must be brave enough to face the demons and dragons alongside her hero if wishes to see sunrise, let alone the sunset."

I can't even right now!!! Jasinda Wilder, once again, absolutely SLAYS me with her words! I loved every single second of this! Jasinda's mastery shines SO BRIGHT in her latest Madame X novel. Brilliant, captivating, and unbelievably jarring. The beginning will frustrate you. The middle will move you. The ending will SHOCK you. THIS my friends, was an experience...an experience that only Wilder can create.

Book Two of the Madame X series
Publisher: Berkley
Publication Date: March 1, 2016
Rating: 4 stars

***Warning: this is an adult book, and for the eyes of mature readers***

Summary (from Goodreads):

New York Times bestselling author Jasinda Wilder presents the second darkly seductive novel starring the mysterious Madame X.

Everything Madame X has ever known is contained within the four walls of the penthouse owned by her lover, her keeper, the man who controls her every move and dominates her desires. While Caleb owns her body, someone else has touched her soul. X’s awakening at the hands of Logan’s raw, honest masculinity has led her down a new path, one that is as exciting as it is terrifying.

But Caleb’s need to own her completely knows no bounds, and he isn’t about to let her go. Not without a fight that could destroy them all…

What I Liked:

This series is SO not what I expected. When I picked up Madame X, it was mostly because the publisher sent a copy, and I've enjoyed Jasinda Wilder's books before. This series is heartbreaking to read, and very difficult to read. Your average romance reader (like myself) may not necessarily enjoy the books. But the story is so heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time, and I love following X's story, no matter how shocking and terrible it can be.

X is still in Caleb's clutches, though she no longer wants to be owned and controlled by him. She can tell that he doesn't care about her, and that he keeps her around because she's beautiful and he wants sex from her whenever he wants. But she hates it. She has nowhere to go, so she stays. He has all the answers about her past (which she can't remember, due to amnesia), so she stays. But she can't forget Logan, from whom she walked away. But as X continues to question her life at Caleb's building, she'll become less and less convinced that she is where she needs - and wants - to be.

This series is so emotionally charged, and in so many ways. It's heartbreaking to follow X's thoughts, her feelings and doubts and insecurities. I wanted to scream at her and shake her so many times - especially when she kept going back to Caleb. She kept letting him use her (you know what I mean), but she was starting to see how wrong it was. Here's the thing - while this was difficult to read, it was SO well-written by the author. X's conflicting thoughts, her indecision, her struggle against Caleb... all of these internal and external issues are really explored. X is weak, but she is becoming stronger. Caleb is a drug she doesn't want to depend on, and she is now seeing how much she wants to be free of him, and find her own way.

Like I said, I wanted to shake X at times. There were times in this book when I thought she was pathetic. But what stops me from hating this book is that she knows it too. She feels just as pathetic and weak and disgusting. Every time he touches her, she can't stand it. And at the very end of this book, I wanted to give her a hug and a fist-bump. While I don't agree with X's lifestyle and choices she made earlier in this book and the series, I LOVE how far she's come.

We learn a great deal about X and her past, including her name, her family story, and what really happened that brought her to Caleb (or vice versa). Everything is unraveling, bit by bit, and while secrets unravel, X begins to want more.

Logan is a huge player in the plot of this book. He shows up quicker than I thought he would, and I love his interactions with X. I'm a little surprised by how much he cares about X, but perhaps I'd forgotten the depth of his feelings from Madame X. Logan is a sweetheart and totally understand and caring. I like that he puts his foot down in one aspect with X, and tells her that she needs to choose and be 100% sure of her decision, and never turn back. He knows that she can't choose him yet, that she's not ready, but he hates it. And it bothers him just as much (and more) as it bothers us readers, that X is not his and won't stay with him. BUT you just can't seem to hate X (believe me).

Caleb, on the other hand, can be freely hated. He is an awful person, and I commend the author for making him such an interesting villain (NOT a good villain). He seems human like the rest of us, but he isn't. He's a sick monster and I hope he gets what's coming for him, in book three. But like I said, I think it's interesting how the author creates his character arc.

There are some really steamy scenes in this book. X and Logan get really heated, and I love the progression. This book is much steamier than Madame X, and for several good reasons that I won't mention. Just know that X is no longer blind to a certain someone.

Overall I'm pleased with this book. For the most part, anyway. There were some scenes that both broke my heart and disgusted me, but I told myself, X hates it too. So I focus all my rage on Caleb, because he is to blame for EVERYTHING. The ending of this book is actually is meanest ending ever, and I'm totally docking a star for that. I need book three!

What I Did Not Like:

Like I said above, there were some scenes that disgusted me (and I'm not talking about the fact that the scenes were super rated r - I didn't find any of the scenes crazily erotic). I hate Caleb, and I wanted to hate X for going back to him, but then I remember that he is all she knows. He made her who she is, after rescuing her and taking care of her through her amnesia (there was no one else to take care of her, so I guess it's nice?). He's not nice though. He's disgusting and everything about him is cool calm collected precise orderly and totally disgusting. Think: pimp.

That being sad, I felt so bad for X. So, so bad.

Lastly, the ending. It was so cruel! I'm sure it won't stick but if it does... well, book three is already starting with four stars (versus the full five-star rating) and I'll dock as I go.

Would I Recommend It:

I cannot recommend this book to your average romance reader. You won't like it if you're looking for a fun romance novel, or a clean linear relationship. While the emotional side of things is VERY linear, the physical side is not. And it's heartbreaking, because X is all but forced. Still, I'm highly enjoying watching X grow, and Logan and X's relationship grow (under all the circumstances), and I totally need answers to all the questions left open!

Rating:

3.5 stars -> rounded up to 4 stars. Don't start this series expecting steamy romance with angst. No, this is a heartbreaking and emotional series, and while it's definitely not something I'd enjoy on a normal basis, I'm glad I'm giving the story a chance.

I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with an advance reviewer copy of Exposed for an honest review.

Exposed was my number 1 most anticipated adult read of 2016 and oh, boy it so did not disappoint!!! Holy Hot Damn Exposed is off the charts HOT!!! The scenes in this book are some of the sexiest, and definitely will have you flying through the pages. It takes off right where Madame X left off and actually recaps the end of the first book but with added details. I am so conflicted with this book, not in my opinion because it is so spectacular but about Caleb. I am solid in my thoughts on Logan, and even if he has flaws I like him a lot, but Caleb, I am so drawn to his dominant ways and a part of me knows that he is so wrong but I want to understand him. I am so wanting him to be redeemable. Madame X has to figure who she is, what she wants, and what she can accept.

This series is beyond good. I mean beyond. This hands down puts any other erotic series in another category. That category being great, but not the same level of amazing. I am beyond in love with Jasinda's ability to tell a story. Jasinda's talent shines throughout this book. Each word is written with a measured precision. Jasinda as an author keeps getting better and better and Exposed is a masterpiece. If books were on display at the Louvre, Jasinda would surely have a spotlight, that's how amazing it is.

I had no idea this was going to end the way it did. Gah!! I am Madame X. The addict and instead of my forced addiction to Caleb, I am addicted to this book. Reason #1. I read it in paperback form, I never read books in that format it's just not that practical. I downloaded a reading light on my phone and sat with my phone on my chest in front of the book. That's how dedicated I was to this book. Reason #2 I couldn't put it down, oh wait my daughter is killing her brother, shhh take it in the other room. Reason #3 Jasinda writes with such potent sexual chemistry it's a wonder my pages didn't light up. Reason #4 Entertainment. So incredibly entertained.

I won't go over plot, just know that with-in Madame X and Exposed you will be taken on a journey. This book reminds me of my favorite quote. "You are not discovering yourself, but creating yourself anew. Seek therefore not to determine who you were, seek to determine who you want to be." Not sure who wrote it-my mom gave me some self-help book when I was a teenager and I loved the quote so it's been written in a journal of my for 17 years. In Exposed, we watch Madame X blossom, and by the end of the book, she is starting to understand who she is. The way this is written will have you embracing her change as if you were Madame X.

Caleb, X, and Logan
LOVED IT AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS COME FULL CIRCLE!
5 Nerve wracking stars

Ok, so I went into this one knowing that it would end on a cliffy... I mean, it's the second book in a trilogy for fuck sake... but I'm still reeling from it! Damn it Jasinda! I want more! I need more! I grieve for X, I pine for Logan, and I plot for Caleb's demise. This story is unusual and profound. You won't want to miss it!

At the end of the first installment, Madame X, I have to admit I still kind of had hope for Caleb. I wanted to see him become the man I knew he could be. He teetered on the brink of evil, but always seemed to redeem himself at every turn. I'm not so sure he's redeemable anymore. He has fallen down too many times to get back to where he needs to be. I guess anyone can change, but at this point, in my heart Caleb is dead to me! DEAD I TELL YOU!!!

Logan is still a breath of fresh air. He seems genuine and kind at the moment, but we all know shit can get pretty hairy in just the matter of a chapter or two. So far so good though. I know he means well where X is concerned, but sometimes I think he may be laying it on a little thick at times. I, myself would have been awfully overwhelmed by his presence and his need to fix everything. He does still make me swoon though!

X is still finding things out about herself. Good things, shocking things, and things she can't explain. Caleb is still a lying sack of shit when it comes to what really happened to her and Logan seems to be an open book divulging anything and everything he can get his hands on that pertains to her. Now that she's knows one of the most basic things about herself, she wants to transform to that person she now knows and not be X anymore. Who can blame her? My heart still breaks for her and I can't wait to read the last installment, Exiled so that maybe reading her parts will make my heart sore instead of wilt.

It's a well written book. The dialogue flows perfectly and the storyline is wonderful. The characters, good or bad were exceedingly powerful and kept me on the edge of my seat though most of it. From cover to cover you'll be offered tons of excitement, loads of angst, and some of the longest sex scenes I think you'll ever read. Oh. So. Hot. I loved it with my whole heart and can't wait to see how this all plays out. Bravo Jasinda. You rocked it!

"You are a sorcerer, and you weave magic of singular purpose: to seduce me."

Jasinda Wilder has the ability to make me keep my eyes glued to the pages even when the situation is gets a little hard to swallow. The same is true for Exposed, the second book in the Madame X series. In this story, we find out a little more about X, Logan, and Caleb. That information only takes us deeper into this puzzle, which I am trying to figure out but haven't had any luck with so far.

Madame X finally finds out her real name after all those years of not knowing. She still doesn't have any memories of her life before Caleb but she is starting to discover who she really is. I was cheering for her so many times during this book for making decisions on her own and standing up to Caleb the way she did. The power that he held over her was diminishing before his very eyes. Let's be honest, he brainwashed her and she was overcoming that to find out her true feelings.

Wow! Just wow! I am pretty much speechless after finishing Exposed.

Exposed is the second in the Madame X series and must be read after the first book, Madame X. It continues to delve into the life of Madame X, uncovering secrets, truths, and lies. In a sense, she is exposed, hence the perfect title! But she is still very much under Caleb’s control.

“We are your whores. We are your addicts. You are a drug, and you are in our veins.”

However, she is finally learning how to become her own person, even if she struggles with it.

“My identity is not…linear. It is…fractal. It is disrupted. False. Created. I am not me. I am a me that you created.”

With Logan’s help, she is finally able to learn about some of her past, which helps some of her memories return.

This story is so uniquely written. It kept me turning the pages as fast I could, needing to know the truth. But it seems that while we got some answers, even more questions appeared. Exposed was sexy, sensual, and at times, a complete mind-fuck. I seriously loved every minute of it. I can’t wait for the conclusion, especially with that insane ending! ~ Tiffany, 5 stars

Gah! So the mystery continues of who X really is.  I love this story but I dislike the fact that we still have to wait to find out more, but that's just me being impatient and nothing to do with the story.

In Madame X we were left a bit bereft with X leaving Logan.  However, it was understandable because Caleb is all she knows.  Sometimes its safer with the devil you know instead of the uncertainty of the unknown.

Exposed starts with X adjusting to life with Caleb in his penthouse, but the more she's the there the more she yearns for more.  Logan can't stay away so he contacts X with a bit of truth.  With this truth X starts to evolve, as she craves to know more and find out who she truly is.

Truth is dangerous and possibly a slippery slope.  The more you know you can't stop until you have the whole truth.   With this new kernel of information she starts to question Caleb more and more, but that doesn't mean she can truly resist him though.

With the more information the more she leans on Logan, but the more she needs to know.  The further they dig into the truth, pieces start to unravel but Caleb holds all the answers.  However, will he finally give her the truth?

I love this trilogy as it's fabulously written and keeps you engaged wanting to know everything.  I have to admit I'm team Logan but I have a feeling once the truth is revealed I may have to change my tune or . . . maybe not.  Only time will tell.  August and Exiled can't come soon enough so we can find out all the truths and who X finally chooses for keeps.

Holy cow! A caterpillar to a butterfly. A mask to a face. Secrets surprises serendipity. Absolute love.

Exposed has it all and yet there are still more questions to be answered. Puzzle pieces to be put together. Currently laying all over the ground to be made into the perfect picture - who is Madam X.

At the end of the first book where Logan had given Madame X a piece of paper with her real name on it, we all held our breaths and then the book ended. This intrigued me, and so I decided to give Book #2 ago. I did enjoy this book, but it was a little slow in places as it took about five chapters until we discovered what Madame X's real name was. Once that was discovered, research was done to find out how exactly she landed where she was and what happens when the truth is revealed, and it doesn't match what Caleb Indigo has told her over the years? In Exposed, we also get to know more about Rachel and what happens on the below floors with Caleb's business. Remember Logan from the first book; he appears, and we are excited as he deserves happiness with Madame X. Turns out though that wherever Madame X will go, Caleb will follow and Caleb and Logan have some nasty history between the two of them. I have to admit in parts Madame X annoyed me in Exposed as it was like one minute she was all strong and mighty and then the next she was indecisive and acted cowardly. I wanted to scream at her, make up your mind and be with Logan, not Caleb. I am interested to see the way that the series goes with the next book as we know by now that Caleb and Logan are not going to give their Madame X up but in the end, only one can have her. Damn those cliffhangers as we are left hanging on the fact that Caleb did sign Madame X out of the hospital but using another name. Why the secrecy and who is Madame X and what happened that night years ago?

Madame X has tasted the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge and now there’s no going back. The more that she discovers about who she really is, the closer to danger she gets. Now she’s caught between two men who will do anything to posses her and choosing between them could very well destroy her.

Logan Ryder has been waiting patiently for X to come back to him. He’s been able to uncover some of the hidden pieces of her past and he desperately wants to be a part of her future. To X, being with Logan is truth, freedom and something that she’s never felt before – love. He makes it so easy for her reshape herself and to drown in desire that they share. But first, she has to learn to purge Caleb from her system – once and for all.

Caleb Indigo is a man shrouded in secrets. X knows about the other girls that he “trains” and that he's different with them - seemingly intimate and unguarded. With her, he’s aloof and detached. But when she tries to spread her wings to fly, she unleashes a dangerously primal part of him that she’s never seen before - the part of him that will stop at nothing to utterly destroy the competition.

Exposed leads readers further down the stunning rabbit hole of Madame X. Jasinda has once again created a mind-blowing synthesis of suspense, mystery and erotic romance that will leave you breathless and desperate for more.

This series is as entertaining as it is down right addictive…

Madame X has finally found her voice when it comes to Caleb. She realizes that he is hiding so much from her and demands that he explain. His answers are coated if half truths. Then there's Logan. He seems to always be there when she needs him and being a past criminal he's not afraid to get his hands dirty when coming up against Caleb. X is being torn in two! She has this connection with Logan that can't be denied. She wants him and runs to him every chance she gets, but Caleb keeps dragging her back. Caleb has a power of her that she can't seem to break, but things are getting worse and worse. Soon she has to make her final decision, Caleb or Logan.

Slowly but surely we are some answers in this story. X seems to be having some flashbacks that scare and puzzle her. Logan pieces some of it for her by telling her her real name, Caleb pieces some of it for he by telling her how he found and saved her, but the truth will have to come from her and her alone.

Another fantastic addition to this trilogy! I didn't know whether I was coming or going! I can't wait for Exiled because I must know the truth. I must know who X is, who Caleb is, and even who Logan really is! Very well done indeed!

Exposed what just what I expected it to be and more. Madame X left so many unanswered questions, I just about died waiting for Exposed. That ending…WOW! I listened to Exposed on Audible. It was a fantastic listen. Summer Roberts did an amazing job at bringing all of the characters to life. The way she read Madame X was so powerful. Especially in the last chapter. After she spoke the last two reads, I began screaming in my car. “What…What…What?” That was then followed by a few, “Son of a bitch, son of a bitch.” Yes, folks, that is what you get in the ending. It was the most brilliant mind trick of words. Jasinda once again wound me up tight, spun me around and just when I thought she’d release me, she wound me up a little tighter and spun me faster. I cannot wait for the finale to this series. I’m so confused on who to believe and I’m torn on who to love. That shows the brilliance in her story telling abilities. If an author can make me love the bad guy while loathing him, that to me is pure genius. Well played, Jasinda. Well played!

The Madame X series is a bit too dark to be my cup of tea, but I have found myself needing to see it through to the end. Jasinda Wilder's writing is surprisingly powerful and poetic for this genre. "Exposed" teeters on the edge of smut with so many sex scenes that it would take me less than a day to finish the book if I skipped just that aspect. But, unlike many authors, the sex is not without purpose. Every scene appears to be written to propel the story forward.

Her story is powerful and unique, and for that reason, I have to see where it goes!

Love this series - but when I get to the end each time - I think I die a little when I realize there is another book and I have to figure out how long I have to wait till the next one. Sometimes the wait is worth the pain ..... right? If you are looking for a different kind of read, check this one out.

PEPPER & MICHELLE'S JOINT REVIEW

***WARNING: Possible spoilers - this is the 2nd book in a trilogy***

MICHELLE: OMG I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH.

PEPPER: PROBABLY NOT AS MUCH AS ME!!

MICHELLE: And honestly- I think if anyone other than JasWild was writing this, I would hate X. I would find her to be a wet blanket and want her to just pick the right guy (Logan) and be done with it.

PEPPER: Oh for sure. There were times I wanted to tear my hair out with frustration with her, but I knew there was a point - because this is Jasinda we're talking about.

MICHELLE: Yes, the way this book is written- you feel so much of what X is feeling and at some level you get her.

PEPPER: But also as you kind of try and understand her - you also empathize with her. Like, how would I feel if I couldn't remember a god damn thing. I would feel as insane as she sometimes acts.

MICHELLE: Exactly! So, EXPOSED continues the story of Madame X trying to figure out who she really is. As she navigates through her dependence on Caleb and her love for Logan, I swear I might die waiting to find out how this all ends.

PEPPER: I am dying.

It's all so hugging good.

MICHELLE: As X starts to discover more of her past before she became Caleb's plaything, she starts to harbor more and more animosity towards him and grows stronger towards being able to choose what she wants. But Caleb won't let her go. On the other hand, Logan is giving her information and loving her like she has never been loved. However, as much as I think he's perfection, it feels like he's also hiding something.

PEPPER: Oh, I've felt like Logan has been hiding something all along. I know just when it feels all right and perfect something is going to happen. I just want it all to come out RIGHT NOW!!

MICHELLE: OMG, I know!! As X has to navigate between what she knows and what she wants - at time's you truly feel sorry for her. But there are also times I just want her to stay in bed with Logan forever and never leave.

PEPPER: Never. Leave. I just want to stay in bed with this series and never leave. I'm obsessed. It's seriously like something we have never read before. The way JasWild writes this is SO intriguing. I was sucked in from page one of book one. Basically:

MICHELLE: Lol. It's true. Also, as usual with a Jasinda novel- the sex is off the charts sexy and makes me feel like a horny teenager.

PEPPER: OMG. Don't even get me started with that. That's another reason I want to stay in bed and never leave with this series. I've said it before, Jasinda must have some really incredible sex with Mr. Wilder...

MICHELLE: Yep. The middle of a trilogy is always hard. You're kind of just filling in a few of the blanks but you can't give everything away so a lot of this book is about X's back and forth between her known past and unknown future. But the final book in this series I know is going to blow us all away! And I can't wait!!!

PEPPER: This series is SO something everyone should read. It's different in a lot of ways in regard to Jasinda Wild - but also any other romance novel. I'm just in utter love and adoration for the whole thing and I feel like if our readers could get anything to read Right. Now. it would be this!!

You've Got To Wonder

How long can a purely physical relationship last? One with love can last a lifetime; I've seen it and am experiencing it. However, with only copulation, how long does that last?

In this second installment of Madame X, X/Isabel moves between two powerful men. One, who commands all that orbits him but commits to no one; the other, who commits to others but only commands as needed. With men, much of their psychology is about competition. Who will win the battle for Isabel's heart and flesh?

I must add. Jasinda Wilder once again delivers a thinker's sultry read. She is a master of her craft, in that she never loses the theme of chysalis woven throughout the steamy, boil over scenes of love and into the philosophical conversations on future. When you're with this story, you may as well be a shuttle cock, moving between the woven story Jasinda has created.

My Thoughts:

Exposed is the second book in the mysterious and dark erotic Madame X Series. This a series unlike any other. "Madame X" had been powerless since the day that she awoke from a coma. She had no identity, memories of her past, those that were important to her, or even how she ended up in the hospital.

Caleb Indigo was at her bedside, and helped her recover. He stuck by her side through the long haul, as she had to relearn how to walk, care for her needs, and become whole once again. Unfortunately, while Caleb took care of Madame X, he also controlled every aspect of her life; from when and what she ate, what she wore, when they had sex, where she lived, when she worked, and who she worked with. Madame X is addicted to being with Caleb, even though she knows that he is not good for her.

Now that Madame X has met Logan Ryder, he has awakened a desire in her for emotional connection, autonomy, independence, and the driving need to find answers to the many questions that she has about her past. She is determined to break away from Caleb, and Logan wants her to be his. However, Caleb views "X" as his property and he isn't willing to release her into the arms of another man.

I enjoyed the continuation of Madame X's story. She is finally beginning to grow as a character. We see her gaining a backbone and inserting her will in this sequel. She begins to take steps to empower herself, with the unconditional assistance and support of Logan. It drove me crazy to see the strong hold that Caleb had on her. I wanted her to break away from his controlling and possessive hold on her.

It was beautiful to see the emotional connection blossom between "X" and Logan. They had friendship, passionate chemistry, and depth to their interactions with one another. Still, Caleb's refusal to answer X's questions, be honest, and relinquish his hold on her, kept her relationship with Logan from evolving in the way that both of them wanted it to.

Exposed continues to give us little clues and a few answers to X's past through her nightmares, memories, and Logan's investigation. The story ends in a cliffhanger, and I cannot wait to have X's past revealed, questions about Caleb answered, and see if Logan is as great as he appears to be.

My Rating:

Exposed is guaranteed to take readers on quite a wild ride. In this sequel Madam X begins to shape in to a stronger character, and as she is torn between two men, she must decide whom and what she wants. As she searches for the answers that will illuminate her past, readers are right beside her hoping to unravel the mystery. I give, Exposed by Jasinda Wilder, 4 Dark Erotica, Puzzling Mystery, Growing, and Creating a New Love Filled Stars! I am looking forward to, Exiled, the final book in the Madame X Trilogy.

Book Review

Sexy. Suspenseful. Positively addictive. The second book in the MADAME X series completely blows your mind with the level of intrigue, grit, and passion that radiates from the page.

First things first. This is a review of the second book in a continuing saga. Though there will be no spoilers here, if you have not read MADAME X, you might want read that and come back to me. Now onto the good stuff.

The story opens up pretty much where we left Madame X in the first book. She is with Caleb and still conflicted about her feelings. Though she is addicted to the man, there is something more that just doesn’t sit right. Due to a series of event that I will not share here (because you need to read them), Logan comes back into the picture. Madame X becomes a different person when she is around him. There is definitely a feeling that the two men in her life are polar opposites. They each make X feel, live and react in different ways, but which one is telling her the truth? Can she fully trust either of them? And more importantly, who is she without either one of these men?

As you flip through the pages of EXPOSED, you will be greeted with answers to many of the questions that we all had in the first book. We learn more about X, Logan, and Caleb as well as how some of their pasts intersect. However…and this is a big one here…by the end of the book, you are left with even more questions than you had before. When I tell you I was looking for more pages in the book, I am not joking. I frantically kept clicking my iPad to get to the next page and NOTHING! I could not believe where Jasinda left us all and quite frankly I may not speak to her until I get my copy of EXILED. But then again, who am I kidding? I love her and her books too much.

What sets this book apart from the previous one is the flow. There is just a movement within the pages that effortlessly propels the story forward. Bing. Bang. Boom. You are thrown into one situation after the next and when you are trying to recover, you are hit with another twist.

I have said this once and I will say it again, Jasinda brought her writing to a whole new level. There are certain things that I anticipate when I sit down with one of her novels, but with this one…I just…there are no words to how much it captivated me. Wow. This book is just WOW.

All I have to tell you all is that the final book in this trilogy is going to be epic. I don’t know how she will do it, but I cannot wait to see how this all ends. Mark your calendars. August 2, 2016 we are all going to be EXILED.

6 HUGE GIANT Stars
Jasinda has done it again. With Madame X, we met our characters, and with Exposed, exactly that happens. X is on the hunt for answers and things are about to heat up.

This novel is all about answers and growth. Madame X wants to know her past, she wants to know it all. She si becoming her own person, while still under caleb's control, and that makes for an interesting situation. With how the first book ended I jumped right into this one. I wanted answers as much as she did and I was hoping we would get some this time around.

Enter Logan.

I am a HUGE fan of him. I love the knight in shining armor bit that he has going on, and even more-so I love the type of man he is. He is enigmatic in a way that Caleb isn't when you are reading about them.

This book took you through the ringers. With Madame X breaking out of her shell she is discovering herself in ways that she never has before. She is opening her eyes to the world around her. It is like watching a child while you are reading. The way that she sees things at first can be very innocent.

It was a dark read and I got exactly what I was hoping for. Jasinda has a knack for writing a book that encompasses you and has you reeling page after page. It was perfectly paced and left me very excited for the 3rd book in the series!!

The Madame X trilogy has me hooked!

Exposed is the second book in the Madame X trilogy. Madame X is beginning the journey of finding out who she is. With the help of Logan Ryder, she now has a name. A name is only a name without a history.

Madame X is torn between the freedom Logan offers and the knowledge Caleb has of her past. How can she become an individual without a past? She's forced to hang onto the tight strings that Caleb has wound around her.

It becomes abundantly clear that Caleb is not the man she perceived him to be. He's a monster hidden in expensive clothing.

Logan is exactly what he presents. She wants what he is offering. First she has to find herself.

Just as she is finally coming into her own, Caleb makes a final play that not only will destroy her future, it will destroy her heart.

Cliffhanger!!!

I can't wait to read the conclusion!

description

Nunca te he tenido prisionera. Te mantuve aislada, cierto. Secuestrada, tal vez. Pero fue por tu propio bien. Y también, sinceramente, porque soy egoísta. No quiero compartirte.

¿Qué he elegido para mí, Caleb? Nada.

.
—Tú eres Isabel y yo soy Caleb.
(...)
Y estoy sola con tus palabras.
Tú eres Isabel y yo soy Caleb.
Oh, eres cruel.

description

description

description

.
Me estoy retomando a mí misma.
