Fun story, but the inconsistencies and errors make it tedious

It’s a fun story! The first book was the best as far as editing goes, but all of them have glaring inconsistencies and editing issues that don’t allow the reader to actually get into the story, unfortunately. It would go a long, long way to even have a few people read the story to note them or some ARCs before the 5th book is published so they can be fixed.
It also feels like the ages and situations would be a more congruous if it was set in college or junior college. Though the main characters voice IS very teenager.

Spoilers below.

.

.

Some major ones that need to be fixed.
- werewolf mind reading: there are multiple switches back and forth where the main character knows how to block from reading her mind, and notes she actively is blocking, and then all of the sudden wants to learn how to block from reading her mind and is upset she can’t stop her thoughts being read
- K joining the dark coven: MC knows he joined to spy on them/protect her - and thinks/talks about it - and then all of the sudden doesn’t and it’s revealed again as new information and she reacts as if she didn’t know
- ambur/ember body switch: this annoyed me to no end. The names were wrong SO many times with the MC literally introducing the ambur body to someone AS ember when they are pretending they don’t know it’s ember in ambur’s body at one point. I mean so many times it’s incorrect - in what they call their ‘friend,’ how the MC thinks about her, etc. It can already be a confusing plot point but messing up the names so many times is exhausting to read
- chosen one: the existence of a chosen one is a secret, not a secret, only secret society knows, everyone knows, etc etc
- love interest development: all of the love interests /development of their relationships is hard to buy as deep, true feelings
- some basic typos throughout with just the wrong word/extra letter added making it nonsensical

All in all, there’s potential for a fun, interesting story, but it has to be edited ASAP, otherwise it’s very annoying.

Somehow, someone managed to write an entire book about nothing. Nothing happens in this story. It takes place over the course of a few days, with giant chunks of that time never mentioned. Any of the somewhat interesting plot points are pushed to the side in favor of endless internal monologue from an insufferable child. Nobody tries to solve the mystery of the murder from the last book, nobody tries to solve the mystery of how Avery magically showed up alive and well, nobody tries to actively solve the body switching plot. Juliana never asks the right questions, she never thinks like a sane person, and she's so blasé about her entire life. The only remotely interesting part of this book is the very last two pages, where another murder we're going to probably ignore is revealed.

Bad writing, bad plotting, bad pacing, bad characters. Dumb.

I loved it!

It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. Welcome to Paranormal Academy, a boarding school for the world’s most elite witches, fairies, vampires, shifters, and other paranormal beings. At the Academy, there are five rules everyone should follow, don’t go out after curfew, stay away from the Vixen, the school’s secret sorority, never go into the Enchanted Forest alone, professors are completely off-limits, and don’t get involved with dark magic users. Juliana Montgomery quickly finds herself breaking every rule in the book. When she volunteered to become Queen, she didn’t realize she would have to make the hardest decision of her life. With the coronation quickly approaching, she’s left to figure out what happened when she blacked out on the night of the Halloween party. One thing’s for sure, she seems to have an enemy on campus. Caught in a web of lies and secrets, she has to figure out what’s real and what isn’t before she’s crowned Queen. So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. I can’t wait to find out what happens next. I highly recommend to everyone.

I enjoy how the story has unfolded thus far; it has been a delightful journey. However, there are some issues, such as repetitive information and one serious case of name error, which took my breath away for a moment. I initially thought Juliana had made a mistake and that the cover was about to be blown. It turned out to be just an error on the author's part.

I'm also still waiting for the Vixen to step up and fulfil their role, but so far, it has been a letdown. The group hasn't stood out in any way. I hope the final book will address all the questions, including the long-awaited question of who sent Spike to safeguard Juliana.

Paranormal Academy Book 4: Spells and Pixie Dust

Paranormal Academy Book 4: Spells and Pixie Dust Okay, THIS one got heavy ~ in the best way. Juliana’s no longer the new girl; she’s taking charge, and the pressure is on. There’s a murder mystery, dark magic, emotional fallout, and huge character growth.

It’s way more intense than the earlier books, and the drama? Top-tier. Relationships (both romantic and not) are tested big time. There’s so much emotion packed into this one, and it really feels like the series is hitting its peak. Everything’s building toward the finale, and I couldn’t put it down.

This series had so much potential. However you made the characters too young for some of the things happening. In addition there are so many typos between this book and the last that it makes it hard to follow. You use the wrong characters name multiple times which get annoying. The added plot twists with the “evil twin” were really unnecessary but if you had to use that you could have made it more interesting. The whole scene where Ambur goes with the evil twin just makes zero sense at all. I would suggest major proof reading before publishing a book.

OUTSTANDING!

OH MY GOSH SUCH A GREAT STORYLINE! THESE BOOKS KEEP GETTING BETTER WITH EVERY NEW BOOK WRITTEN BY THIS AUTHOR IN THIS SERIES! I USUALLY GO ON TO A DIFFERENT BOOK IF I DONT HAVE TO WAIT FOR PUBLICATION TO BE DONE JUST TO LET IT ALL SINK IN! BUT NOT WITH THIS SERIES I CANNOT WAIT TO GET BACK TO MY PEOPLE BECAUSE SHE WRITES HER BOOKS SO YOUR RIGHT THERE IN SCHOOL WITH THEM. I SURE DIDN’T SEE HER —-DYING THOUGH! SPOILER SORRY! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES YOU REALLY NEED TO READ IT IN ORDER TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON! AND IT’S SO SO GOOD! HAPPY READING!

why would someone write three amazing books with multiple great love interests with great history and chemistry just to get to the forth book and choose the worst possible love interest which the main character had the least amount of anything with? aside from the clear disappointment in final love interests, this book also felt rushed in a way, possibly because there are like 5 impartial storylines going on at the same time as this main one. overall this book felt like a sorry attempt to meet some “5 book series” quota.

Thoughts on repeat….

Way too much internal dialog that repeats the same thoughts and self doubts over and over. I found myself skimming an entire page of self dialog just to get to the actual context. Exhausting. I noticed this about the last book as well but it seemed even worse in this one. So much of it could have been trimmed down and the plot could have been explored more. It seemed flimsy in this book. No answers were really given just more questions.

Distracting and irritating

The series is very imaginative. It grasps you attention but what is distracting and irritating is that:
1. The grammar
2. Sometimes the authors mix up the names of the characters and you have to read careful to understand who the actual character is.
I find that this issue happens in every book in the series.

loved the first but not the 4th

In honestly so disappointed. I loved the first book, the second wasn’t as good but still enjoyable. This book however, nope. I’m so tired of this love triangle, details don’t add up and there’s a few spelling errors including name spellings. Won’t be reading book 5 :/

The love triangle heats up

The love triangle heats up in this story. The love affairs become more intense and the choices become harder to make.

I don't see why she had to end up with a teacher, that's just uncomfortable and was the worst pick she could have chosen, they had the least going for them of any of the love interests.

reused material

For a book that is only 188 pages I read WAYY too many pages that were the EXACT same from the previous books. Instead of referencing memories and letters that we fully read in previous books the authors choose to just copy paste pages and pages of it again. There was barely any new info in this short book.

.

It’s been a fun series as all these academy ones are. But there were so many typos, wrong names when it should have been someone else and just some grammatical stuff that was annoying.

Hmm

I felt like the story line is being dragged out now, and I don't like how juli is playing on Kaden's emotions. A lot of repetition, just a little boring now

The storyline itself is a good and easy read, but my lord is the book difficult. The amount of errors in this book is astounding. The author can’t even get the characters names correct. There are so many grammatical errors, I don’t know how the book made it past publishing.

Suspense continues

I would recommend this book to a younger audience, at my age, I have seen too much to find the struggles of teenagers too riveting.
