Due to mature content and themes, this book is intended for readers 18 and older. It contains scenes that may be disturbing to some readers, and includes drug use, violence, and frequent ‘F-bombs’.
First things first; I really like the cover of this book. Bono’s hope is book three in the ‘’Forever midnight MC’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Hope and Bono were once so in love. When hope witnesses a murder she ends up in witness protection. Bono has never loved another woman since Hope. When he gets a phone call off of the her he jumps to help. The chemistry between Hope and Bono is clear to see I liked them as a couple. Their love for one another was undeniable even after ten years apart. I loved how Bono was determined to keep Hope safe. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
100 pages is way too short. It feels really rushed.
Hope has been in witness protection for ten years, after she witnessed the brutal murder of her boss. When she sees the hired killer that she testified against, she has run to save her life. It’s all really exciting, then it just loses steam. Bono and Hope were madly in love and engaged when he was told that she had died. Bono was devastated and when he finds out that she’s alive, he’s really angry with her. He’s so angry that they have sex constantly, but he doesn’t know if he can get past it. Hmm 🤔
The problem is that it’s just way too short! In a mere 100 pages, she witnesses a murder, goes on the run, they meet up, have to run for their lives as a killer is after them, sort out their relationship, fall back in love, and the end! It’s just way too much in a really short book. It could have been brilliant, should have been brilliant but it’s not.
Bono and hope were young lovers engaged to be married but after witnessing a murder hope life is turned upside down and is force to leave all behind 10years later and a encounter that sends fear to her very core she without thinking dials a number that by chance in still working. Bono life was also changed and send I a different course that night and he ended up with MC after the call he and his brothers help Save hope and will they get back those stolen years
SERIES/ORDER: Forever Midnight MC book 3 GENRE: Motorcycle Club Romance TROPES: Touch her and Die, Possessive/Protective Hero, second chance romance, SPICE: 🌶️ SMUT TO PLOT RATIO: 20/80 POV: Dual COUPLE: Hope and Bono CLIFFHANGER?: Nope VERSION: Kindle
Notes: When I realized that Bono’s ‘dead’ fiancé was the heroine I was so looking forward to this read. I couldn’t wait to see their reunion and how happy they’d be to be together again but we don’t get that. In fact the whole read just falls flat. Bono and Hope get a second chance and their chemistry is just… tepid. Really bummed and not sure I want to read the next book.
Although the series does appear to follow a formula for the plot resolution I found that quite easy to ignore and just get immersed in the story itself. The entire series is very well written with fantastic relatable characters, as well as some that shine really well. If you like MC storylines then this is one series that you shouldn’t miss.
While this was an improvement on the first installment. It was unfortunately not as good as the second one. The plot to this one was just all over the place. There was a few things I thought was ok. Overall this was very average. It wasn't awful but it could be so much better.
By far the best book in the series so far. Very realistic relationship not overly spicy. Fast paced, interesting premise and loveable characters. Strong FMC and stubborn MMC. I’d love to find more books like this!!
