An M/M MPreg Shifter Romance

Sometimes love arrives with a purr...

Omega cat shifter Leo needs to get out of city life. He’s sick of people trying to rescue him when he shifts. He’s no domesticated animal—he’s a cat shifter descended from lions for goodness sakes. If only he hadn’t been saddled with a recessive gene that made him the least fierce of his clan...and sent him running to the big city.

A city he now loathed.

It seemed that a move to the country was in order.

Alpha human Ron loves his job as the Deputy of Riverview Township, even with his annoying boss, but he needs more out of life than just his career. If only he had figured that out sooner, back when he still turned a few heads. Now he was just The Deputy and no one looked at him as a potential anything.

Ron’s life is turned completely upside down when Leo moves to town, taking over a fixer upper that was barely standing. There’s just something about Leo that has him wanting to both protect and help him.

Feline the Love is a sweet with knotty heat M/M shifter mpreg romance featuring a cat who finds more in Riverview Township than just a new home, a human who discovers there is an entire world he never knew about, a real estate bargain that very much isn’t one, two men who finally find their place in the world, true fated love, and an adorable little baby. This is the second book in the River’s Edge Shifters series brought to you by the co-writing team of Lorelei M. Hart and Aria Grace and can be read as a stand alone.

This one was a bit better than the first!

So happy the Sheriff got what was coming to him... Karma can be a wonderful thing! Gotta say the super surprise near the end was beyond awesome... Though seriously... Ouch!!!! This series is such pure fun!

I very much enjoyed this book and both heroes so much.

The Good, The Bad, and Everything Else: Another instance of me not doing great on doing my reviews this year so I never did one on book 1 in this series. In this series we have short paranormal books with unconventional shifters set in the Omegaverse. In the first book there was a bunny shifter. In this book we have tabby cat.

Leo is one of our heroes. A tabby cat shifter who purchased a rundown property in the small town of River's Edge. I adored Ron (not a fan of the names of the heroes in this book especially after the first book's heroes Jase and August.) He's an adorable deputy who loves his job. The romance was really good. Although the series really relies on more of a fated mate trope, we did get to see them fall in love by them spending time together a little while before they fell into bed. The sexy times were spicy but not overly so. The humor of the story made me laugh. Multiple times someone suggested the tabby should be neutered. As the tabby was Leo, it made me laugh quite a bit.

In a Nutshell: A short book but well written. I liked this one as much, if not a little more, than the first. I'll definitely read the next book in the series.

A small town shifter zoo that saves the day.

When the local politics and neighborhood attitude help the new guy solve mysteries around town and at the Sheriff's Office as he tries to work out Mates with Ron the Deputy Sheriff as it becomes harder to keep secrets after the Sheriff resigns.

But as more shifting brings more stories to the attention of the friends and neighbors, Ron discovers who Leon the cat really is as pregnancy tests reveal a potential kitten caboodle of new residents. Good thing Ron brought cat treats.

This book was a gift from the author and it was a lovely gift. It was nice to get back to the town of River’s Edge and visit with the shifters from the first book. Ron and Leo meeting and falling in love was a perfect romance. I love both of these authors and look forward to reading the other books they gave away as well. Thank you again.

I enjoyed this one, but not as much as the first book. The problem for me, Leo didn't spend nearly enough time in his feline form, like none, around Ron. I would have liked to see them curl up on the couch taking a nap or something, anything really. Leo was kicked out of his pride since he has the recessive gene that has him shifting into a house cat and not a lion like the rest of his pride. His parents should have loved him regardless of what he was able to shift into. Leo has been hiding out in the city and has had enough. If he is caught, he will probably be nurtured and of course we couldn't have that since he is a shifter. He ends up buy a house site unseen and it turns out to be Xander's, the boy from the first book, childhood home. What Leo doesn't know is that it's a mess, and when he sees it, he feels like he is way over his head. The sheriff, who is a real piece of work, sends Ron out to check on the new owner of the house. When Ron shows up, he meets Leo's shifter form and immediately thinks that he should be neutered. When Ron meets Leo in his human form, sparks fly. Leo's cat knows that this is his mate and he wants to claim him. Leo knows that Ron is human and even though he is an alpha, he shouldn't do that as humans don't know about shifters. Ron agrees to help Leo with the renovations and when they find a hidden room in the house with things that really shouldn't be there, the sheriff takes over and Leo becomes a suspect when some of the items go missing. It isn't until the end of the book that Ron learns about shifters and that really saddened me. Among the things found in this room are letters addressed to Xander and they were given to Doc, since he adopted Xander, and I can't wait for the next book to see what those are about. Plus Doc is so sweet & he needs his Alpha.

This is a real laid back and fun series to get into any time. I enjoyed this book as much as I did the first one. It is a re-readable series. The only thing I was confused about is the non- shifter omegaverse along with shifter omegaverse. I thought it was just regular humans unable to knot at all. I don't know if this was just added to explain how Mpreg is possible in this universe. I might have missed something in this series. Despite the little confusion, I definitely recommend this one.

This is a cute story. It seemed more put together than the first one. I had a couple of niggles but nothing major.

A nice read. I really liked Leo and Ron together.

Ron+Leo

These guys were just so funny and cute together even as they were dealing with a huge pile of junk being handed to them by the sheriff.

Feline the Love is the second book in the ‘River’s Edge Shifters’ series. It stars Leo, a cat shifter, and Ron, a human who’s a deputy. This is told in first person through both Leo and Ron’s povs.

I love cats so much and the idea of a shifter book where the guy becomes one was perfect. I actually enjoyed this book so much even though the sheriff was in it more than the first book.

Leo moves to River's Edge because the people in the city keep trying to adopt him or get him fixed. He doesn't want that and he needs to have more room to go out. He feels closed in.

So he buys Xander's old home that's falling down, Xander from book one who his step-dad had died now.

Ron the Sheriff's deputy is told to go see Leo and make sure he's not riff raff according to the horrible sheriff. Let's just say that the Sheriff gets what's coming to him after a long time in this book and I thought it was perfect. I knew he was bad news and was so happy when not only Ron, but a few others including the mayor forced the man out.

Ron didn't know about shifters and Leo's cat was screaming mate at him every time Ron was around. Ron is so sweet he not only helped Leo with the run down house he let him stay with him when he was forced to. Then near the end when they finally had their home Ron was terrified that he would have to tell Leo that his cat, who he'd only met once and fell in love with, was dead. However, August from the first book helped explain things to Ron about shifters. Jase helped too by shifting in front of Ron. It was so funny when that happened too.

I was shocked at how many little ones Leo had when he gave birth. I was over the moon too and was so glad they all survived. 4 plus 1 oh boys oh girls they have their hands full for sure.

I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. I also loved that Ron got to be the Sheriff by the end of this book.

3.5 stars.

Remember the sheriff? Didn't he smell hinky? Wish he would get his comeuppance? Maybe he can. Maybe he can't.

I found Book 2 of the River's Edge Shifter series to be a very nice bit of brain candy. (After having read Enthralled, I needed this book SO BADLY!!) Not that much angst for a fated mate storyline. We get to see a few questions answered but many more questions yet to be dealt with regarding Xander. I was pleased to see August and Jase and Doc back again. Not so much the Sheriff, but he's a real jerk anyway.

I found Ron and Leo to be wonderful characters yet not as spry or complex as I wish they could be. Not like Book 1. Just couldn't get clear picture of either of these guys in my mind's eye, I guess, but not so bad that I couldn't identify their angsts.

Plot lines expected and predictable but not in a way that I couldn't read it. Wish it had a little more embellishment. Perhaps more Xander (but I hear that's coming up in another book!).

I think this is definitely worth reading via KU.

Leo has had it with the city life. He needs a nice sanctuary to left his cat roam. On a whim he decides to purchase a piece of property (sight onseen) in a small little town. Upon arriving he realizes that he is in over his head. The house is disgusting and throughly damaged. It needs a lot of work for it to actually be liveable. But as far as his cat feels - the place is the perfect set-up to roam and run wild. He just didn't see the Deputy Ron in the picture. Ron is besotted by Leo's cat and he instantly warms to the creature and later Leo. Ron is human unaware of the shifter world. Can Leo be truthful about who he is or will Ron no longer want him?

This was an adorable sequel to the River's Edge Shifters. I really liked the concept about Leo being a cat and Ron not realizing it. However, I wanted more intereaction of them as cat and human. In the fast book the main characters did have a lot of time as bunny and human so I felt it made sense to do the same in this novel. I could just picture Leo as a cat getting all cuddly with Ron and I just really wanted to see it! I felt the novel was very fast paced and I wasn't too enamoured with the main conflict of the story being the Sheriff. It made since but it was just weird how he acted and handled things. Regardless this was a sweet read!

3,5*

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-
Away-book like
‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd,
‘Save the kids' series from EM Leya,
‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or
'Liberty' from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a
WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey books and
Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few
times a year (most romances where you can
enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader,
maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-
reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but
it was ok). It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too
many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an
absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole
line, dismissed, repeat the class

A human deputy is your fated mate! What's a cat to do?

This is a wonderful series! The world created here is vibrant & full of intriguing characters. Shifters abound in a town where they are mostly hidden. Cats, bunnies, wolves, otters, & even a peahen! There is intrigue, very sexy times, friends, and the boss from hell. You will love this book!
Deputy Ron hates his boss. Overbearing, power hungry, greedy, the Sheriff is barely tolerable. Assigned to check out the "new guy" in town, Ron doesn't expect to be immediately attracted to him. Possessing a rare recessive gene, Leo is a house cat, not a lion. Unwelcome in his pride, he fled to the city. But now he needs a change. So, Leo leaves the city to give his inner cat freedom. When the kind Deputy Ron greets him, Leo's cat cries Mate! Too bad Ron is human. But, their attraction is as immediate as it is inevitable. A cache of hidden weapons ramps up the action. With the Sheriff acting weirder that usual, it's up to Ron to solve the mystery and save Leo. With the help of the community, HEA is assured. I love this book! I can't wait for the next one.
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.

Leo needed to get out of the city that he thought was the only place he wanted to be. A housecat born into a lion pride, he is dismissed as a nobody and leaves the pride. He has done well on his own. Well enough to buy a property site unseen and move into the country where his cat can run free. Unfortunately he buys a junk heap and finds secrets in the house. He meets Ron, the town deputy and his cat insists he is their mate. A rotten sheriff, secrets in the junk, a human that Leo is sure he shouldn't mate despite what his cat thinks, new friends and new family. A good story. Worth reading. It is the second book in this series and you really need to read the first one to make sense of this one.

The lack of world-building... the lack of details... were two major cons for this story, but there was a pro... the authors managed to get the basic facts correct this time!

The characters are adorable and these are low angst, quick reads... so, I have a feeling that I will just "assume" what the world-building facts are and just enjoy the stories as they are written... moving on to Otterly in Love...

A little jumbled but cute

There were parts that were a little confusing, such as when Ron is talking (thinking) about Xander being a shifter but he doesn't know about those at that point, and one of the sex scenes being a little difficult to follow, and the fact that it is apparently a world of alphas and omegas and male pregnancy even without the shifters but nowhere do we learn that in the story, it's just a fact. Despite all that it is a cute story if you just want to enjoy some fluff and a happy ending.

Amazingly cute

This series is so much fun I enjoyed this adventure so much. You have a cate shifter omega in the city who hates it and a alpha human in a small town who loves his job as a deputy bring them together and you get a cute fun couple. Loved Leo and Ron they are so cute together and they get there HEA and four adorable babies. Great Read from start to finish. Can’t wait for more.

A short but cute shifter story that involves a cat and returning rabbit. A lovable and kind deputy is sent to make sure the new guy isn't causing trouble but has the sweetest meet cute. A small town sheriff is determined to cause unnecessary trouble but his comeuppance is hot on his trail. It does get a tad emotional at the end but we do get to see some adorable babies. Full of lightness, sweet love and slight fluffiness.

I liked this one a lot. I really enjoyed the story. The only issue is at one point in the story while the chapter was from Ron's point of view he was thinking about how Xander is a shifter and how they were not sure if his mom was also one. Since Ron does not learn about shifters until towards the end of the book then he would not be thinking about Xander being a shifter. Otherwise a well written story.

Book two in this series of omega verse mpreg novels. books where one of the main characters is perceived as a disappointment to their clans. in this case city cat omega who comes from a line of Lions and you guess it, they not impressed with the kitty. moving to a new town, Rivers edge, he meets his alpha human. again like in book one, it is packed with the usual ingredients but still grabs your attention. read it and enjoy

It's not a bad story, the plot is cute and pretty stress free. A nice little read. But there are plenty of writing problems where names or POVs are mixed up. For example; one chapter a character doesn't know about shifters, then in the next they do, and then they don't again. There are a few issues like that through the story. Still if you can ignore that as a writer error, it's a fairly decent quick read.
