All I can say is this is a must read. I will not give out any details just know that you won't wanna put this one down at all. I read this book in one sitting. 💯💯💯💯💯💯
Justin was beyond nasty. Tate, Shane and his wife?!? He really didn't care about anyone other than himself! Then to want Ava to cater to him after all of the lying and cheating he put her through just took me completely out! I took from this book a very important message: Homosexuality does not have a particular look, style of dress or occupation, so beware and be aware. Excellent read
Girl this book was hotter than a fire cracker, that damn Justin was just going around sticking his pole in every man alive except Kevin 😂 then you have that snake ass Shane in the mix. I’m so glad that both got there karma and even though he was fucking Tate, I kind of liked him. This was a bomb ass book ❤️💜
This was a good read. Justin and Shane would have been DOA at the very moment they was caught together. He should have been honest with Ava and himself instead of putting people lives in danger. Shane should be ashamed, how could he do his supposedly best friend like that. I bet they both wish they would have been more careful cause Karma can be a sick bi@ch sometimes.❤❤
I dont even know what to say about this book... It was VERY repetitive... It kept saying the same thing over and over then rewording it and repeating it... And this was all in like 2 to 3 paragraphs at a time... Then it repeated it again... Then when changing characters... It repeated events that just happened again... I was like okay got it... Then this ending... I was like wait... I was just reading along and Boom I am on the page that says before you go... I was like wait a minute the book is not finished... There are soooo many things that are unanswered... This book is a standalone... And I feel like I am standing alone trying to figure out what happened to the rest of this book... I can see that this author has some skills... I just think that the book just needs to run a little bit smoother... And I need an actual ending... I feel like a bomb was dropped right at the end but we don't know if it landed or not... I liked Ava... She was just to forgiving for me... And she seemed liked she could be a little naive at times when it came to her husband and her beat friend... Her sister kept telling her something is not right... I wish she would have listed to her sister... Then maybe she would not be in the predictable that she is in now... As for Justin... What can I say about him... I did not like him from the beginning... I mean come on we can all see that he liked men more than women... So why drag Ava into his mess... He should have let her go in the beginning instead of marrying her... This would have helped keep from getting her wrapped up in this biggest web of deceit... But he was selfish and just kept treating her like crap and putting her in jeopardy... But now we see where he ended up... As for Shane... I mean how can he call himself a best friend and do Ava like that... Obviously he didn't feel that bad, because he just kept doing it... So I do not feel bad for him...
This book has been a roller coaster a lot of twists and turns I feel like a lot of people that are married and in relationships should read his book It really put a line on cheating awareness of STDs have an foundation of a marriage and also I feel like Justin needs to take more responsibility of his sexuality and he how really feels about himself and Ava instead of running away from his problems and turn it into marriage Which turned into more problems if you knew that you had problems before you got married why even get married and I feel like Ava needs to take some responsibility as well if you knew you had issues with Justin why get married marriage is not going to fix your problems Many people will have different opinions about this book but I really enjoyed this book can’t put it down and I can’t wait to read part! And I also feel like the author highlighted issues that we don’t talk about we just sleep on the rug instead of talking about it so I can’t wait to read more books from the author
Ava, Ava, Ava! While she undoubtedly was the victim, she chose to ignore a lot and she was too DAMN clingy and she talked too DAMN much. Shane proved to be a snake and she was feeding him all her business, but she didn't need to share that info with her sister or Kevin either! I loved the scene with the jump ropes (I know they were welted up LMAO). Justin's lying, manipulative, conniving behind deserved so much more than he got. The audacity he had was unbelievable--he gave a BS apology and got mad when it wasn't accepted in the manner he felt it should have been and kept trying to make Ava think she was overreacting when she called him on his shenanigans. I could only give the book 4 stars because it was very repetitive at times and toward the end, the typos became a bit much for my nerves. Also, even though this is a standalone, the fact that it ended with a bit of a cliff hanger didn't bother me so much. This is my first read by this author, but I'll probably read more of her stuff.
This book was a decent read...I gave it 4 starts because of then ending. I wanted to know if Justin and Tate had it too. I felt bad for Ava because she was betrayed by two ppl whom she loved but she irritated my soul always telling her business to Dawn and Shane. I kind of figured from the beginning that Shane was Justin’s lover SB. I was blown away tho by the history of him and Tate. I don’t like that men sleep with women be in a relationship marriage and even have kids with them but on the down low. That’s how std’s spread and to people whom don’t deserve it. Shane for example. As I stated the book was decent but then ending could have been better. Never leave your readers with questions unless there was going to be another part to answer.
While the secret was out -at least one of them- on the cover of the book, it was an interesting ride watching the heroine discover what we already knew. Justin and Ava's story was a good lesson in "believe people when they show you/tell you who they are the first time". Justin gave Ava every obvious clue that he was more than just her "loving, faithful" husband. The author filled Ava's story with deceit, betrayal, drama, and a time or two of "laying on then hands" just not the kind you're thinking about. At any rate, if you want a quick drama to shake up your afternoon, pick up a copy. You won't be dissapointed.
The storyline was good but it lacked alot I feel that Ava got what she Deserves and she needed to keep her sister out of her relationship even though Justin was dead wrong she treated him like shit didn't let the man breathe her sister should get her some business and Woman or not I would of beat her ass if she came at me wrong I'm guite sure Ava had to see some kind of hint that something was going on with Justin and Tate 😂 she was to busy trying to run stuff and missed the whole Game
Justin was very wrong for how he tried to play the victim in this whole mess! How dare he fool around on Ava but when busted try and turn the tables on her! Shane was low down and clearly no friend. The story was good but there were many grammatical errors like when Shane was at the Drs office getting his results the Dr called him Mr. Washington instead of Mr. Brown amongst other missed words, etc! In the end, everyone's karma caught up with them. The ending was abrupt and left me with a lot of unanswered questions. Overall a pretty good read.
I truly enjoyed this, although there were some grammatical errors and I believe the characters could’ve been developed further. It’s always interesting to read about a situation and wonder what you would do if it happened to you.
Having a spouse that has a huge secret is the focus of this story, and I truly enjoyed it! I do wish that the author hadn’t ended it with so many loose ends; I believe another 3 or so chapters could’ve wrapped everything up nicely. It seemed to end abruptly and so it feels unfinished.
This is the first book I've read by this author and I must say that I will be reading more of her books. She told me this book was drama-filled and she did not disappoint me! I'm not going to spoil it for anyone by giving out details of the book, just read it. You'll be glad you did. I would love to read about the wife and her co-worker though. Hint hint. Keep the books coming!
I would have loved to give this book a higher rating, but it left me conflicted. I loved the story right up to the end. HIV... I mean really? I know Justin used Ava as his beard, but did the author have to go for HIV as the illness? I'm not sure why, but that's left a nasty taste in my mouth.
Having said that, I would recommend this book to angst lovers. I'm deducting 2 stars due to the fact that I really didn't like the ending.
Oh wow. It amazes me how real this story was. I mean, I’m stunned by Landon’s ability to write such a story. However I feel that this story should be shared worldwide. I’m a big believer that honesty is the best policy and that what’s done in the dark will come to light but when it involves the health, livelihood and wellbeing of another person; one should not hide their truths. This story open my eyes to ways of the deceitful mind of people who keep secrets.
Justin Justin Justin what he though he was goin to have a happy ending nope you can’t be playing with people feelings like that everything that happened to him I’m glad it happened he should of been honest with Ava from the beginning about his sexuality but like most DL ppl they be too afraid to be open about who they are but I’m glad Ava finally found her strength and decided to leave Justin hopefully he will be honest with the next relationship
This was my first read by this author. Although it was predictable, it was really good. Justin loved his wife but was not satisfied with their sex life. He enjoyed the sex but needed more. Hence being on he down low. Things get really heated when she realizes he's cheating. Good book, I will definitely read others by her.
Wow, Justin was doing too much! You couldn't help but feel bad for his wife Ava. She seemed to miss or dismiss all the clues that her husband was living a DL life. Ava experienced lots of stress, disappointment and disrespect in this book. Hopefully it will help other people having relationship issues. Good read Author Loryn!
Mann this book was awesome. Had me on the edge of my seat . This was my first read but definitely not my last. Can't wait to read to more books from Loryn such a awesome author and one of my favs. I couldn't imagine finding out what Ava did. I would get everyone with a frying pan
So this was the first book that I’ve read by Ms. Landon and it was pretty good. Even though I could really predict the ending, I enjoyed the drama and action throughout the book. These actions are happening in our community and it is sad that it is. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
You never know where he creeps when you’re not around...
This is the third book by Ms. Landon that I’ve read. This story was a good mess! Ava was a strong beautiful sister who was ultimately betrayed by her man in the worst way! This book held my interest and left me hungry for more!
First time reading this author's work. Some areas repeating what just happened from a different character tooooo close to repeating what I just read. It happens rarely but enough. Great subject. I could relate to the wife but Her husband was over the top. Great book.
Was it Shane Brown or Shane Washington? The grammatical errors annoyed me, like "your vs you're ", "too vs to" and missing letters and words. But the storyline was amazing. Finished the book in a day. I swear marriage scares me. Karma is real. This book goes to show you that you cannot truly know someone, and marriage doesn't change anything but your name.
Great read. This book kept my attention on every page. It was suspenseful, entertaining, dramatic, and funny. I will definitely be looking for books from this author. The characters were very believable. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a great page turner. It took me 3 days to read only because I can only read during my commute to and from work.
This book was exciting all the way through. This married man on the down low was plain scandalous. He was getting away with it until he started messing around with his wife's gay best friend. Oh what a terrible web we weave when we practice to deceive. My best part is when she caught him redhanded. This is a read for some good entertainment.
Ava and Justin's relationship was almost picture perfect. This book will have you wanting Ava to wise up and move on. Ava was so in love that she had blinders on when it came to Justin. Dawn on the other hand was a trip!! She needs her own storyline!! Awesome book! It would be awesome to have a part two! Ava still needs to find out about his other escapades!
When I started this novel, I didn't think that it would suck me in like it did. Although definitely a good read, I feel that the author could have done better at hiding the fact that Justin was messing around with Shane. I felt that she sort of made it too obvious from the beginning. Although the ending to this book and the kharma is everything!!
