Evident: Defending An Ancient Faith With Modern Stories by H.M Hayes is a powerful collection of true stories of personal testimonies pointing to a faithful God.
The tales show that the God of the Bible is alive and active today. He works in the lives of us all, if we would just tune into Him. No one is ever too far from His reach.
Sometimes in life we only view the hand of God on our lives as we look backwards. At other times we feel Him right beside us.
God’s timing is perfect. He is never too early. He is never too late. We can trust Him.
H.M Hayes has a wonderful personable style. This book is like reading correspondence from a friend. Each story is introduced by the author. There is scripture throughout to show the hand of God on lives.
Evident is a perfect book that will strengthen your faith as you see God at work in the lives of ordinary people.

God Incidents

For those wondering how involved God is in our lives, this book tells the incidents of how He showed up in peoples’ lives, from all walks of life, and revealed His presence, love, and character to them in various ways. Evident is another sort of “Chicken Soup for the Soul” with faith as it’s stock and a faith-inspiring read.

I really enjoyed the format of this book how it was broken up in bite-sized chunks that made it easy to digest and understand. There are some great real-life examples that are given that make this book relatable and beneficial. It is encouraging and inciteful in one failed swoop.

I enjoyed this read about God’s fingerprints throughout different people’s lives. It was very refreshing and a great reminder of how He shows up and shows out!

Sobering

I realized that God has a plan, but how much do I believe and pray in that way? I was encouraged and moved to believe that God loves me and has the best in mind for me.
