Everything is about the change for Adrianne, though, being self-reliant isn’t exactly a change. Still, moving to a new state to go to a large university without knowing anyone is a big step in what she hopes is the right direction. It doesn’t take her long to make friends, but it seems like everyone she meets in this city has a secret. Too bad she can’t keep the feelings she has for one boy to herself.
He never expected her to find him, yet somehow, she came from miles away and ended up right in front of him. Josh is used to keeping secrets, living in a hidden community of Shifters will do that to a person, but now he must hold onto one that isn’t likely to stay secret long. He will do anything to keep Adrianne safe even if that means coming between her and the boy she has fallen for. Like it or not, Adrianne is a part of a longtime family war and she has set her eyes on the son of the General – the very man who is waging it.
As if being a teenager isn’t hard enough, add in learning about a society of Shifters. With traditions and rules Adrianne must understand, because somehow, she ended up as one of them.
Angela is an author, a wife, mother of two, and a part-time assistant office manager. She loves nights when her husband cooks for the family. Her two kids keep her hopping and help her tap into her well of creativity and imagination when playing with them. Family activities include day trips, hiking, going to the coast, and car shows on weekends in the summer. It's possible during the drives around Utah that they've seen the entire state. They enjoy attending local high school football games in the fall. Angela also volunteers with the HopeKids organization. At thirteen, Angela read Harry Potter and was reacquainted with books. She reads everything from Steven King to Will Hobbs. She started writing after her youngest was born. The characters started to visit and wouldn’t let her sleep until she wrote down their stories. Angela wishes her grandma was still alive to be sharing in the new adventures. Her two best friends from high school are a great support and keep her going when she is feeling down.
She'd like to go to the SEMA car show in Las Vegas one day. She'd love for people to get lost in her books.
A self-dependent girl with a problematic mother and no father arrives at Salt Lake City for further studies. She has no place to live and being new here she does not have friends. She meets Josh, who stirs some feelings in her but only to her dismay, he is not interested in any sort of romantic relationship with her. Josh belongs to a community of Shifters. He has a lot of secrets to keep. He will protect the girl no matter what. But she falls in love with the son of the General, Carson. The General is involved in a long-time family war. And now Adrianne is caught up in this somehow. Do you want to know the Shifters and their secrets? And how does Adrianne's life goes around at University? Then you must read this book.
Before beginning to read it, I thought it would be like any other teenage book. But I was wrong. With a mix of fantasy and romance, this is surely a good book. The language of this novel is lucid and character development was smooth too. I was, however, a little agitated by the non-platonic approaches (I felt this) of Adrianne to Josh for quite some time even after knowing that they are related. Well agitated is a big word, let's just say that it felt weird. But apart from that, the book is short and direct. I loved the friendship of Des and Adrianne so much. And don't even get me started on the adventure of the Shifters. It was so different to read such a thing. I got the vibes of Twilight at few places. To be honest I liked Des more than the main protagonist. And Josh's character was nicely depicted too. Overall, the author put vivid imagery of the life of all these characters and the adventures all these people took. The best part of this novel was the main characters being few in number. It was an easy task to remember their names and their back stories. So I would recommend this book to people who like fantasy, teenage romance, friendship, and adventure or the blend of all these.

BOOK REVIEW
First things first it is really an engaging story and I liked the pace maintained throughout, and the flow of the story is really good.
The story mainly resolves around Adrianne and Josh.
Adrianne is a girl with long brown hair and blue eyes. She has a weird family and she knew nothing about her father. Although she is my favourite character throughout the story.
The story starts with Adrianne moving to a new state to go to a large university where everyone is unknown to her but she thinks, this is really th right direction for her.
Adrianne try to make new friends but for her, it seems like a place where everyone has its own secrets.
As the story progresses, she meets a boy named Josh and from here the story is really interesting.
She felt comfortable with Josh and I really enjoyed their first meeting and the conversation and all the little things that happened between them.
But Josh is used to keeping secrets but on the other hand, he will do anything to keep Adrianne safe.
You must be curious to know the secrets about Josh. So grab your copy and enjoy the reading.
The title of the book is appropriate the cover is defining the title very appropriately.
Also, the vocabulary is kept very simple, so it does not require any special aid.
What a work done by the author. Really impressed with the quality of work done.
The cover is easy, however the title of the book has all the wizardry. The language utilized by the creator is totally great, it s peruser neighborly.
♣️ So the starting of the book Author provides innovative, inspiring and thought-provoking life lessons on the basis of her own personal journey through all lines. In this series we will discuss memories of first love, engagement, relationship building, heartbreak, forgivenes and personal development.
♣️ The book is actually quite captivating, the portrayal is with the end goal that you will feel that the creator herself is addressing you, on occasion you won't understand that you are understanding it or tuning in to it, on the grounds that the book addresses your spirit and psyche.
♣️However, acting naturally dependent isn't actually a change. In any case, moving to another state to go to a huge college without realizing anybody is a major advance in what she trusts is the correct bearing.
♣️It doesn't take her long to make companions, however it seems like everybody she meets in this city has a mystery. Really awful she can't keep the sentiments she has for one kid to herself.
♣️He never anticipated that her should discover him, yet by one way or another, she came from a long ways off and wound up directly before him.
♣️Josh is accustomed to keeping insider facts, living in a concealed network of Shifters will do that to an individual, yet now he should clutch one that isn't probably going to remain mystery long.
♣️All over like this story. It is beautiful, loveable and worth read at all. Recommended to all.

Present thought by Angela Rae Harris is the first book in the series "Tense of Mind".
This is such an interesting book and one of the most raw, honest, inspiring, and profoundly beautiful story I've read. It wasn’t anything like what I expected, but it delivered so much more than I've hoped for.
The two main characters of the story are Adrianne and Josh. The story is very well written with some drama, great suspense and some secrets. I really feel that you should just dive into this book without knowing anything about the plot. To be honest, I'm the usually the kind of reader who likes to know every little thing about what to expect in advance, but I've really learned to trust Angela’s writing and her storytelling so even I went into this book without knowing anything at all... and I was blown away by the story!
The storyline, setting of the plot and the characters, everything is really good. I was unable to put it down from the moment I started reading and I know that this is one of those profoundly beautiful and unforgettable stories that will stay with me for a long time. I highly recommend it to everyone!
