Liam and Junior are two local teens who get their thrills by vandalizing local homes and terrorizing residents. Inside a neighboring residence lives Sandy. She becomes an easy target of local teens that trespass in her garden filled yard that surrounds her old wooden home. She is far from a helpless victim and lures them in, one by one, as they struggle to stay alive against a heartless opponent. Town folk begin to panic as their teens become missing, one by one. Unaware that the creepy old woman behind the chain-link fence is capable of being involved with their disappearances. I listened to this story on Audible. Every time the reader said the name "Sandy!" I had an urge to chuckle. The story is about a woman who is harassed by teens until she decides to teach them a lesson. I gave this a score of 3 because I have mixed feelings on it. I think it has some potential, however, the way it was read through me off at times. The narrator added some stress to the pronouncement of certain parts of the story, such as the name "Sandy" or at times randomly expressing an opinion of the storyteller/character in the same manner as "Sandy" which (to me) felt comic rather than a serious telling I felt the book deserves. I would be willing to give the book a reread if I find a handheld copy. I do not wish to take from the narrator, she did keep me entertained in the reading of this particular book.
