Two years have passed since the fall of Octagon the Bitter and the dire warning from Order. The barrier that once separated the Five Kingdoms from the rest of the world is failing. Morgan is the first to encounter one of these invaders, signaling that the time has come for him to set out on his mission.

He won’t be going alone, as he is sidetracked by an unexpected guest when visiting the Ruined City. Morgan can’t remain in the Five Kingdoms for long and must set out for Faeland, the continent of their enemies.

The rulers of Faeland have been preparing as well. Warned by a new Pantheon of gods that the human scourge is free once again, they move to act before their ancient enemies have a chance. War is brewing on both sides, even as gods scheme and ancient monsters stir. Only one thing is definite – Morgan will do whatever it takes to see his mission through to the end. No matter the cost.

Warning: This book contains profanity, gore and content that may not be suitable for children. This book also contains GameLit elements, such as stat sheets, a form of leveling and experience gain.

Now, to be fair, MOST LitRPGs are single-minded in purpose. You get your levels, you dominate the playing field, maybe get on the verge of death, and you get yourself back up again. The rest is pretty much gravy.

So what happens when you become a quasi-god? You either train the young to be like you or you go off on a conveniently MORE impressive quest than ever before with a whole nation of super-mages that have been gaslit to treat your whole race as a mortal enemy.

Or you could do both because you're an idiot.

So. Overconfidence and battle-lust wins the day.

It still makes for a pretty fun read. :)

Pretty Good but huge plot hole

The writing overall was solid. Good action. Good character development. This installment introduces two new characters that are very likable. That said, the author introduces a huge plot hole at the very beginning. The agents of chaos are fomenting an intercontinental war and millions of lives hang in the balance not to mention that of the MC's beloved. War is imminent. The enemy forces are stronger, better prepared and more united. In order to have any chance at surviving, the MC has to complete a time sensitive and incredibly dangerous mission behind enemy lines. So what does the MC do? He delays the mission by a whole week to start training a new student. Tells other people about the mission even though they have no role in it's success (turns out one of these people is a spy) then takes an untrained and very weak 14 year old student with him behind enemy lines, even though it's only a 10 day mission and she cou,d have just waited for him to come back to start training. Keep in mind that the fate of the world hinges on the mission's success. Nobody in their right mind would do this.

Such an amazing series!!

I found this series about a month and a half ago, and I haven't read another book since. It really sucks I have to wait this time to continue it, but it's worth the wait. This book ends with the loose ends tied up, but adds more information that just leaves you wanting to know the next directions the story line and characters will go in. I'm happy to add my review in return for extra words, (I would have reviewed anyway :D ) and I like the authors way of thinking by throwing that bit in the authors notes at the end of the book. I can't describe how and why this series is, especially since this is the first I've read of this genre (gameLIT), but I highly recommend giving this series a chance!!

Another excellent book in the series!

I loved it! Great plot movement, good shifts in power that make sense, and his new relationship (no details dont want to spoil it!) Was a really awesome addition to the story. His characters have come a long ways from book one, with more depth and personality, and I'm really enjoying the story. The length of the book was great and it felt like a complete story that took it's time to unfold without being boring or rushed.

Highly recommend the series and so glad the author is keeping it so that I can recommend it to my teenage boys to read!

Adventure on a new continent

Morgan finds himself with new companions and a trip to a previously unknown continent, which is past the formerly unpassable barrier that is starting to crack.

One of the big problems for the people of the Five Kingdoms, other than meddling deities of course, is that the inhabitants of the 'new' continent do remember the humans, as a violent and destructive scourge they'd had to fight off around 5 millennia ago. It seems war is looming, even though neither side really wants it. Maybe some diplomats can get a chance to talk it out before things get too far along. Especially as we find there are more powerful beasts awakening.

Note: I have a backlog of reviews so what follows is short and to the point. Spoilers will not be called out. Typos likely since I won’t be proof reading.

I read books 1-6 of this series and they are all getting the same review. The first thing to note is that the series is not done. I have no idea how many books this will be since the author can end it at any time simply by having the MC win the right fight.

This is better than average litRPG but author tells you from the beginning that this is the story of the MC's "Rise to Omniscience". Also there is no ensemble, just the MC and supporting characters of varying degrees of importance. As a result there is never any question of the MC actually being in danger. Every time a god is about to kill the MC I was bored because either the god would somehow fail or the MC would come back to life. Worst the author fails to realize that he has made much of his story boring, including the fights, since there is only one possible outcome. This series would be better if it was half as long and, if it weren't for the interesting secondary characters, like the gods who are fighting each other, I probably wouldn't have finished these books. The secondary characters are less than 1/4 of the books, however so I have reservations about recommending these books. The truth is, while they aren't bad, there are better.

Bottom line: Maybe?

Morgan after losing Sarah another god stronger than all the others sends him on a quest .

Morgan is sent to Fealand to a different part of the continent to forge a new weapon that can kill gods not by his hands but by a dwarfen blacksmith an to prevent a war between four different races of species . Katherine queen of the north ask that he train a young girl that's inherited supermage powers named Grace with the two of them and his female drake beast they set off to forge a new weapon and learn how to hopefully stop a war from happening . recommend reading excellent series .

This by far is the best book in the series. I loved seeing someone new learning. It just seemed to make this book more human. I mean there's just... More character.
Going somewhere was interesting too but the true standouts for this book was Grace and Morgan's friendship and their own personal development. Definitely keep this up. Please don't toss Grace in to some 5 year intense training where we don't see her for 3 or 4 books. And for the love of God... Please don't do a book where Grace is kidnapped and Morgan has to rescue her. That trope has been done to death.

Enjoyed every page.

Now I know Aaron said this book was longer but I swear I read it faster than the others. I do like the introduction of the new character Grace. I think she helps bring something extra to the book. I feel like I need to add more but honestly if you have read the other books in the series then you know Aaron's doing a good job. And sometimes all that needs to be said after finishing a book is this: Damn that was a good read, wish I didn't have to wait for the next one to come out!

This is a book I'd wish I was reading instead if listening. So many problems I won't be continuing the series and it was hard to finish. The power disparities between the MC and antagonists has always been weird... but now it feels out of control so things are being made up to overcome the disparity. Too much happening for no good reason. Time is used poorly as a plot device. I'm sure a bunch of made of things will tie it all back together, but for me it is too far gone to really care. Too many other good books to read.

Awesome

Thank you for expanding Morgan's range of emotions. Grace was an unexpected bonus to this story. It's cool that you're holding on to his love for Sarah but it's ok for Morgan to be able to love more than one woman in his circle. Having gave as a daughter figure showed his ability to love and receive love has grown. I could go on and on but don't wanna give to much of this fantastic book away. I can't wait to see where this story leads. Kudos

I liked this series very much .All books in Mr.Later books are easy to read and chock full of action.I can't wait to see if Sarah is coming back in truth or maybe Morgan can get Order and Chaos to be one person

Again now that would be awesome!!! Anyway if you like action , a wacky love story and to see a boy become a good man in spite of all the evil that surrounds him you will enjoy this book and definitely the series.

Wow

I was greatly surprised with the turn this book took. I was a little worried I might be disappointed after book five’s ending left me thinking that Aaron was just trying to make a new Bbeg without a good background. The depth of the new characters are amazing and I am extremely glad that this series is continuing withought becoming redundant.

Oh man!

The twists, the turns, the joy!! This was a great addition to an already amazing series. I can't get enough! This series is the closest rival to The Land in it's ability to draw me in and cause me to want to continue reading that I have found. I can't wait to see what Morgan faces next!

Literary Crack

Mr. Oster never fails to deliver when it comes to gripping narratives, believable and steady character arcs, and wonderful world building. Above all, he is able to provide hints to what’s coming, yet the journey is always twisted and unexpected. I couldn’t put this installment down, and am craving my next fix! Why are you still reading this!? Buy the book!!!

Every book better

Morgan is OP...until the world expands and we now have a new level of competition. New world, more characters, new levels of intrigue. Gold is a puppet master, new Word threats awaken and potential for another MC!? A lot in this book that leaves the series wide open and ya the readers left wanting more. Great Job!

Epic story of growth continues

This series is still one of my best finds in terms of Kindle unlimited. If anyone thought that the story quality will deteriorate after pinnacle king ark then he is up for surprise. The transition to new story is executed perfectly. New "ark" is awesome and I can't wait for next book!

New arc begins!

With the closure of the previous battles with Octagon, we have a new challenge for Morgan. This book set up well for the coming battles, and with the introduction of another potential supermage, Morgan has his work cut out for him. I'm really looking forward to how this series progresses.

Great series

It is a surprisingly interesting series that grows up as it goes on. The main characters are a little childish if you can stand that, it’s got an interesting world going on as well as fun crunchy stats primarily in the main character. This book in the series introduces a second potential main character as an apprentice that will likely continue to grow up quickly.

Amazing.

This book was utterly amazing and the author definitely knows what they're doing. I really can't wait for more. I recommend this book series for everyone over the age of 13 maybe 15 depending on their maturity. The way it all ties in together and keeps adding new concepts and characters lights my soul on fire. I kinda hope it'll never end!

Silverspear: rise to omniscience

I like this book. There are certain parts that I thought were not as much fun to read. It didn’t prevent me from enjoying the book or giving it a five star rating. The parts that I did not like I would have given the book 4 stars. There is only about 10 to 15% of the book like this.

Great return to form

I've enjoyed all of the supermage books, but this really felt like a fresh return to what made me begin reading them in the first place. Can't wait for the next one.

Great Addition

Well written as always. You don't need a shocking cliffhanger to end a book & it's good to see an author that can create characters that a reader will enjoy following.

Morgan returns...with a friend

Wasn't quite sure what to expect after the end of the previous book, but Oster has a nice knack for continuing the story in an intriguing way. Fun times - and I'm looking forward to the next book!
