I was given an ARC of this story and I found it to be very enjoyable. This part of the series carries on where it left off and I really do like how the story moves from one character to another, giving various perspectives of what is happening.

There are heroes and villains, plenty of action and a great sense of place. It has a great easy-flow writing style, which makes it fast-paced and entertaining.

Nicely done and certainly, a recommended read from me.

Masterfully woven plot

I gave this book five stars because Rice has masterfully woven the plot and multitude of characters into a page-turning Epic. With this many characters an author often loses their way and the plot becomes confusing, unfinished or even boring. Not so in the Ring of Dragons. I was submerged in the story. I cared about the characters. I either loved them or hated them, and those who I didn’t know well served a purpose and did a fine job of carrying their part to make the plot work. There’s no fluff. The words are carefully crafted and tell the story well. The only thing I don’t like about the book, is that it doesn’t tie up all the plot threads but leaves the main story wide open and unfinished. But I love the story enough to buy the next book in the series to keep reading and even give it 5 stars.

This book is for fantasy lovers who love dragons, swords and sorcery carried off by complex characters in a unique world with touches of revenge, romance, and backstory to keep it enthralling. I highly recommend this story.

Just when I thought the story couldn’t get any more intense, Ring of Dragons throws everything into overdrive. The capital is under siege, kingdoms are on edge, and our heroes are stretched to their limits. Devin is racing to finish the Unfinished Sword, Lenore is facing more danger than ever, Greave is fighting to save his sister, and the dragons… well, their role is finally starting to shift in ways that could change everything.

The pacing is fast and tense. The stakes feel real, the characters are tested like never before, and the dragon subplot finally takes center stage. There’s action, betrayal, and plenty of “wait, what just happened?” moments that kept me glued to the pages.

It can be a lot to follow with so many threads converging, but that just adds to the excitement. The ending will have you reaching for book five immediately.

Wow another powerful part of the series!

There is so much going on in this series, and each book adds another dimension to it. I have to say that this series is at the top of my list of all time favourite fantasy books.

Battles; Kings; a Queen; A few Princesses, one who has completely changed into something else; dragons; a special sword; and magic; And have I mentioned all the cool characters with such different storylines? This book has it all by the bucket load! I love it! Now I'm off to buy book 5! If it's as good as the last 4 books, then it's gonna be a winner!

Ring of Dragons plunges us into a city in chaos, with Ravin controlling the situation and secrets bubbling beneath the surface.
Each character is on a personal journey, navigating love, rivalry, and their own demons.
The storytelling effectively weaves together various subplots, making the tension palpable. It's an engrossing read that keeps you invested in the fate of the characters.
Overall, it’s a solid continuation of the saga with enough twists and turns to keep you intrigued.

Good but not great

I purchased the first two books and enjoyed them but now the author just seems to be dragging it out. There is some element missing here... cant put my finger on it. Something that sets apart the great writers of fiction from the good writers of fiction. Im just not propelled into the fifth book. I may or may not purchase it in the future.

Can't wait to read book 5. This set of books are a wonderful escape for the confines of Covid and for anyone home bound due to it. The day goes by quickly, and can't believe I am unable to put them down!

This installment finally gives more history of the dragons. The characters who survived the first three installments continue to grow into people who will shape the future of their world. As war rages, will they shape it for good or evil? And how much will they lose in the becoming?

I couldn’t put this one down! Action upon action in this book. Page after page it just didn’t slow down. Things from the first part of this series get satisfied but more stuff starts and this court is DRAMA! And i love this magic system so old school. Im obsessed with this series.

This series just keeps getting better and better!

Morgan Rice just grabs you by the pants and takes you for the ride of your life in this series. There are assassinations, plots within plots, villains and heroes, DRAGONS, and more than enough action to satisfy any reader. The race is on to decide the ultimate ruler and the forging of the Unfinished Sword is the ultimate fantasy quest. I received a free copy but my review is voluntary and honest. This is such a spell-binding book that I finished it in one day!

This book has just taken the story deeper and deeper. The depth of the characters is truly amazing. I really enjoyed how the character arch changed for Queen Aethe as well as Greave. I think my two favorite characters right now are Erin and Sir Odd. Although they have a lot of depth to them, i find them to be comedic relief. I really want to find out where the story takes them.
