Amazing happenings

This story is one never explored before and I loved it. While the end of the world has its bad characters, no one expects that one of their own can do so much harm! Such a good read. It kept me guessing and was frightening as well

A really fun YA sci fi novel! A solar flare collides with the Earth's atmosphere, bringing down the power grid throughout the world and also bringing some unusual powers to a few of the protagonists. I really enjoyed the storyline and well-drawn, believable characters. The South Texas setting, close to my current home, was an added bit of fun. Teens may well see themselves in this novel. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel, Scourge!

Post apocalyptic done just right!

Good balance of supernatural quirks, post apocalyptic behaviours survival emerging and not too much gore or violence. Great twist at the end, good pace, nice and clean!
