Social worker, Briana Hayes hadn’t expected her job to be dangerous. After her roommate is killed and attempts are made on Briana’s life, she turns to the Brotherhood Protectors for help.
Fresh off active duty, former Delta Force soldier, Rafe Donovan’s first assignment as a member of the Brotherhood Protectors is to protect the sister of one of his old teammates. How difficult can that be for a man who has faced overwhelming odds on the battlefield? Being confined alone with her in a mountain lodge will sorely test this confirmed bachelor’s resistance.
When the threat steals Briana away, Rafe comes to realize how much she means to him. He calls on his old Delta Force team to travel to the jungles of El Salvador to bring her back alive. After a daring rescue, Rafe and Briana race against time to save a baby from her evil father.

15th book in the Brotherhood Protectors series. Can be read as a stand-alone. Contemporary romantic suspense.
Non stop action, danger, and military elite to the rescue. A fast read that’s full of suspense and romance.
The epilogue has visitor couples from all the previous books by this author which was fun.
So I have a question on traceability of cell phones. I get being able to track by a cell phone signal that’s on or in use. But can a phone be tracked if it’s turned off totally? Early on, the heroine is forced to toss her cell phone. Wouldn’t turning it off work? Mobile phones are expensive these days. Often over $1,000. I think I’d protest having to throw my phone out a window. Sure, we are being chased by killers, but I have to wonder - can they still track the phone if it’s off? I’d be lost without my phone or iPad. Not just physically but mentally as well. I guess I’m glad I live a more sedate life in Chicago as opposed to these couples in Montana.
Delta Force Rescue is book 15 in the continuing series of Brotherhood Protectors series by Elle James and as usual another good book!
Rafe Donovan just recently retired from Delta Force duty and is on his way to see Hank Patterson, his new boss at Brotherhood Protectors HQ when he receives a call from one of his former teammates to protect his sister, Briana Hayes. He also gets the same call from Hank...what he doesn’t expect is his bachelor status to be tested...will he keep the bachelor status or find the Briana is the missing piece to a better life?
Rafe is determined to protect Briana but when she is taken to El Salvador he calls upon his former Delta team and the Brotherhood to make a daring rescue!
I thought that this was a very enjoyable read. This book provides a wonderful combination of drama, emotion, danger, action, excitement and romance. Briana and Rafe were likable and easy to root for. Both of these characters were strong in their own right but they still fit together seamlessly as a couple. The story was engaging and has you eager to see what will happen next. It had me reading past my bedtime but the next morning's grogginess was well worth it. I am posting a volitional, forthright review.
Delta Force Rescue is high-stakes danger with romance, action, tension, and suspense. Along this journey, a team of former military heroes dedicating their lives to protecting others. I am loving this series, and the characters are sexy in this series. It's Insta-love, but still a good read. Delta Force Rescue is the fifteenth exciting tale in The Brotherhood Protector series and a tale of loyalty and courage, and looming threats jeopardise their lives and the lives they swore to protect. This story not only highlights the fierce devotion of its alpha heroes but also emphasises the importance of connection and resilience against a backdrop of uncertainty and danger. The camaraderie, their loyalty to each other, make for more than a brotherhood, it makes them family.
Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read! Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

Final Notes... Elle, I do like your stories but they all follow the same formula when it comes to the endings. Based on the lack of teamwork, communication and ability to protect their clients, I would not want to hire them. They all get caught and have to be rescued... Always. It is their first case, and they meet their intended. The bad guys easily find them.
In this story, they get away from the baddies and travel from Chicago to Montana yet they are easily found... I skipped forward several times because I was so irritated.
Briana Hayes, a social worker, stumbles upon a woman and her infant baby in the alley. It’s raining and cold, so Briana offers to take the two to the closest shelter. But the woman is afraid for her life. So Briana drives them to a shelter for abused women that is secure and doesn’t require background checks. Figuring her good deed is done, Briana heads home. Later that evening, Briana’s roommate is murdered but the police arrive before the murderer finds her. Scared for her life, Briana reaches out to her brother—a Delta Force member. He’s on assignment, so he reaches out to his former teammate Rafe.
Rafe Donovan, former Delta Force, is on his way to start a new job with the Brotherhood Protectors when he gets a call from his former teammate claiming his sister is in trouble. After discussing it with his new boss, Hank Patterson, he heads to meet Briana. They “get to know each other” on the three hour drive via phone. So once they meet, they feel like old friends—possibly more. Rafe and Briana’s location is compromised, so they head to a place in the Wyoming mountains to hide out until they figure out why Briana’s been targeted.
This is the best Brotherhood Protector book yet! I loved how Elle James “matches” just the right people up to become possible couples. The action, suspense, and stray dog all combined to make an AWESOME story! It’s Insta-love and HEA! I also like that Elle James brings just enough of the real world into each novel to make it more realistic and believable—this one with the drug cartel. Fast paced, couldn’t put it down! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
Once again we have a non stop suspense ride as we get the latest story in the Brotherhood protector series a Group put together by Hank “Montana” Patterson where he takes retired special forces soldiers and turns them into the best bodyguards that money can buy. This latest story is Rafe Donovan's story
Rafe is s recently retired Delta Force operator who has recently retired he is heading to Montana to take up his new job with the brotherhood protectors He receives two phone calls one from Ryan Hayes a team mate on the Delta team he has just left and one from Hank Patterson Ryan sister a child social worker has got into trouble and he needs top head to Chicago to help her. Briana Hayes never meant to get her flat mate killed but she had to help the young woman and baby she found hiding in a alley way the only problem is the woman Alajandra and her baby are connected to man who is the leader of a drug cartel in El Salvador and he wants her back. As Briana and Rafe drive towards one another they talk the whole time getting to know one another and as a way to keep Briana calm but the danger is closing in and no matter what he does Rafe knows they are in trouble When they arive in Montana and go into a safe hpude they hope they will finally be safe but the danger is only getting closer and Briana is grabbed and taken to El Salvador It will take the brotherhood protectors and her brothers Delta team and a very brave Alejandra to save her Will Rafe and her now have time to work on the deep attraction between them and how will Ryan feel about a team mate been with his sister.
Elle did another great job with The Brotherhood Protectors when Rafe Donavon was sent out on his first mission. His first miss was to protect a Child Service Protector Worker but also was a Delta Forces buddies sister. He got the call from Ryan Haynes that his sister need protection and she was his only sister and he trusted him with her life. Being Delta Force Brother he took this mission very serious and being the first he didn't want to mess it up. So he got her number called her talked to her and kept in contacted with her until he could get to her. He asked her where she was and she told him heading out of Chicago. So they talked the whole way. Till he could get to her and meet a safe place. The safe place was a hotel and he called and booked a room for the night. When they arrived there and got into the room she broke down over the death for her best friend. He went to go move his truck and her car for the night. Then next morning was a different story when they had realize they had been found and helped a dog from getting hit. When the SUV finally left they got loaded into his truck and headed in a different direction. Heading to Montana. They got to Hank Patterson and settled and is when she learned to shoot and things turned out different. I like the description of how Elle does this book and how she tells each part of it . She use fabulous emotion and it makes me feel like I was right there with Briana and Rafe the whole story.
Delta Force Rescue is the fifteenth book in The Brotherhood Protectors Series by Elle James. This series is a great blend of romance, action, and suspense - which is all set against the rugged backdrop of Montana. These books introduce us to a team of former military heroes who dedicate their lives to protecting others, all while navigating their own personal battles. Ms. James’ characters are definitely the heart of this series, and each protector is uniquely crafted, with a mix of strength, vulnerability, and charm. Their camaraderie and loyalty to one another also creates a sense of family that adds an extra element to the stories/series. These plots are fast-paced and packed with twists, cleverly blending high-stakes danger with heartfelt romance. Whether it's a SEAL turned cowboy, or a sniper finding love amidst chaos, each book delivers a satisfying mix of adrenaline and emotion. Elle James also weaves in themes of redemption, trust, and healing, making the series not just entertaining, but also heartfelt. With gripping storylines, endearing characters, and just the right amount of heat, this is a series that will leave you eagerly reaching for the next installment. Happy Reading…
We are back with the Brotherhood Protectors as well as new hire former Delta Force soldier, Rafe Donovan. Briana Hayes is a dedicated social worker in Chicago. When she sees a woman in an alley and helps her and her baby find a safe place , she never thought that she was putting her life and those around her, in danger. Desperate for help, Briana calls her SEAL brother letting him know she needs help. That’s when he call his old teammate Rafe. Determined to help her, he gets the approval of Hank , the Brotherhood Protectors boss. From that moment, while staying alive is proving a challenge , the attraction grows. Will they survive the cartel? If they do, will their time together be only a memory or will it become their future? This was another engaging story. It was also fun to “visit” with characters of previous stories and being introduced to Rafe’s former teammates. Likely getting their own stories in the near future. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Can you say action-packed? That's what you get with Delta Force Rescue by Elle James. Ms. James has delivered a well-written book populated with a cast of characters that are outstanding. Briana is a Child Welfare Officer that finds a woman and baby when she leaves her last stop for the day, so she drives them to a shelter for abused women. Rafe is heading to Montana to start his new job with Brotherhood Protectors when his friend calls to ask him to take care of his sister Briana after her friend is murdered. Rafe and Briana's story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. This book kept me glued to my e-reader from start to finish, I loved it, cover to cover excitement. I'm looking forward to my next book by Elle James. Delta Force Rescue is book 15 of the Brotherhood Protectors Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This may be my favorite read by this author !! Rafe is a new member of the Brotherhood Protector and his first assignment is keeping Briana safe. Briana is the sister of one of Rafe’s “brothers” and the two meet when Briana calls her brother for help when she helps a mother and her baby find safety in a shelter and her brother enlists Rafe to assist. She’s on the run and the two are many miles apart, as the two drive to meet in person, they pass the hours by talking on the phone while driving, both eager to get to each other before a ruthless crime boss catches up to her. An amazing read with steam, attraction, suspense, some action and great characters. I loved these two and how easily they meshed, with no drama between them. I loved the reappearance of the Brotherhood Protectors past characters and how they all got involved to rescue Briana. The story flowed beautifully, the story kept me flipping the pages, the characters were great and I LOVED the epilogue. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
It been a long time goodreads and I'm back just to post this review. I needed a shorter audiobook while I picked up some overtime hours today. This one is the right length so I didn't care that it's #15 in the series. I actually wanted to listen to military or special forces type book so I was happy I found this one on my library app pretty quickly. The book was 2 star ok most of the way through but took an inexplicable turn. I don't hate a lot of books but there is one thing that is unforgivable to me, especially in romance books. I cannot stand when authors write in pets and kill them. It enrages me and it never makes sense. After this the book will never get more than a star. They deserve no stars. In a romance book, even when they are more action and suspense, there is just no place for this. Kill the baby next time. That would have made more sense if you needed a senseless death. This was the first book I tried from this author and it will be the only one I ever try. Even without the death the culmative star rating on this book is incomprehensible.

This cartel owner picked the wrong women to mess with.
Briana, a social worker with child protective services in Chicago is headed home when she finds a woman and baby hiding in the rain. Taking them to a shelter outside of town she returns home to share a glass of wine with her roommate. While preparing for the shower, a man enters their apartment and kills her roommate. He is looking for Alejandra and her baby.
Realizing she needs to leave town she calls her Delta Force brother who is on his way to a mission. He calls Hank at Brotherhood Protectors who has a man in Kansas. Rafe calls Briana and they talk as one heads northeast and the other southwest. After being on the phone for hours they meet for the night. With danger on their tail they decide it is best for them to head to Montana to Hank’s place.
Alejandra’s child was fathered by the cartel owner she was working for. He wants Alejandra and anyone who gets in his way. Once again another kick ass female who will take any help she can get but is prepared to be fend for herself.
This book has all of my favorites -- romance, suspense, action, and a visit from many of the past Brotherhood members. This book also introduces us to Delta Force members that will be become subjects in Ms. James' a new future series. I really loved Rafe and Brianna together. Brianna was vulnerable yet strong and brave when she needed to be. I also loved their hours long car conversation which set the stage for their budding romance. The only thing I wished for more of in the plot was interaction between Brianna and her brother. Her brother's Delta Force team assisted the Brotherhood members in Brianna's rescue; however other than a brief conversation with Rafe prior to the rescue, you would have never known he was there. He didn't interact with Brianna at all after she was rescued which to me, was out of character because the book mentioned they were so close. Other than that, a great read.
I received an ARC and I voluntarily reviewed this book.
Admit it and get on with your life. Sound advice from his new teammates. From the first time Rafe and Briana connected over hours of talking on the phone, to the very end of their adventure, they each knew what they felt, but were not daring enough to make that final step. There are actually two heroines in this book and it's amazing to see the development of our second heroine. This book has all the protectors in it and it was great to see them all. You've got everything in this book, kick-ass heroine(s), bad-ass operators, intrigue, suspense, steam, and laughs. You think the threat is gone, but oops, it's not. What's not to love? I love the proposal with the help of teammates as well. Ms. James has done an awesome job to keep me entertained.
I received this advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is the 15th book in the Brotherhood Protectors series by Elle James, and I’m just as excited by it as I was the 1st - 14th! I absolutely love this series. Briana Hayes is a Social Worker who finds trouble helping a woman and her baby. She calls her brother, a Delta Force soldier who gets in touch with the Brotherhood Protectors. Rafe Donavan contacts her on orders from his boss, Hank Patterson who is head is the Brotherhood Protectors. Rafe, a former Delta teammate of Briana’s brother, takes on the assignment and connects with Brianna not only to protect her, but they also start to fall for each other while facing danger. Elle has a brilliant talent for writing these books so that there is just the right amount of romance, humor, banter, excitement and action. Definite must read.
I love this series and this book was no different. Lots of action and attraction as Brianna Hayes lends a hand to a mother and her daughter trying to escape from a drug lord, only Brianna didn't know that until the threat comes looking for her. Rafe Donovan just retired from Delta Force and his first case as a Brotherhood Protector is to protect the Bri, the sister of one of his old teammates.
We start the book in Chicago and then the story continues in Montana until Brianna is kidnapped and taken to El Salvador. The action brings Hank and some of his team to the drug lord's country to save her and then it's back to Montana where the action continues.
This was a fast read with lots of action and unexpected courage. I really enjoy reading about the characters and catching up with the old ones. Hank and Sadie are wonderful and they embrace the whole team as if they were family.
This book was fast paced from the very beginning. Even with occurrences being somewhat predictable from the time Briana entered the alley, it took nothing away from the story. If anything, if only added to the suspense because you knew something was coming; just not the what or when.
I liked the way Rafe and Briana made their initial connection. Even through her fear, I could pick up on the interest , attraction, sexual tension, romance, and the fact that they just liked one another.
Add into the mix the danger, intrigue, suspense, and you have a perfect storm. Then you get the bonus of a couple of twists at the end and an HEA. It made me want more. Definitely a 4.5 read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This is a great book. Its #15 in the series, but each book is a stand alone. We get to see some of the people from other books and I like that. Briana is a Child Social Worker and while doing her job, she angers a cartel leader. Rafe, who is a former Delta Force soldier and a new member of the Brotherhood Protectors, is sent to protect her. Briana and Rafe are both very strong and likeable. The action and suspense starts in the first couple of pages and never lets up. I loved this book. Its full of action, suspense, mystery, romance and humor, all of which I like. I received an ARC for an honest review and I loved it. I am a big fan of Elle James and recommend every one of her books. She's a favorite of mine.
As a long-time Brotherhood Protectors fan, I rejoiced at how many of the characters were involved in this story, but the story itself, if you have never read one in this series before, will hook you in with no need of prior knowledge. There were just enough surprises to keep me engaged, the heat between Briana and Rafe is perfect, and the story never resorts to gruesome horror for the sake of it. Briana is one of my favorite female characters in this series; she is smart, sensible, and realistic, and Rafe’s connection with her evolves believably (within the parameters of a story!). And the epilogue just made me smile.
I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
Elle James has a fantastic series going here in The Brotherhood Protector. This latest book in the series #15, Delta Force Rescue falls in line with the other great stories in the series. Heroine Briana Hayes has such a big heart as she goes about helping so many doing her job as a social worker. She's brave and determined in the face of grave danger. Hero Rafe Donovan who has just left Delta Force is perfect for Briana. He is courageous, resourceful and goes above and beyond for Briana. I love that they adopt the dog, Lucy who just lost her beloved master. This is a fast-paced, exciting read!
Great story that keeps you on edge together with awesome characters that draws you in. Starts with Briana helping a mother and her child in an alley and explodes into her fleeing for her life and Donovan is sent to protect her. Unfortunately he is the closest but was 8 hrs away. He rang and spoke to Briana to calm her nerves while she flee’d from Chicago. They were heading towards each other so learnt all about each other to fill in the time. It ramps up from here and it is non stop action, steamy romance to the end. Do read it as it is a book that will keep you involved!
Another great addition to the Brotherhood. Elle James is an excellent writer with her series. You get all the guys together along with the Delta Team from Texas. You have all the danger and intrigue you want. Briana happens upon a woman and baby in alley hiding from men hunting her. So when she helps to hide her, it puts her in the crosshairs of the men hunting her. In comes Rafe as her brother calls him to help her. This book will keep you on the edge of your seats. Excellent read and a HEA.
Delta Force Rescue: Brotherhood Protectors Series Book #15 Elle James
Running for her life after helping a lady and her baby, Briana calls her brother who calls in the Brotherhood Protectors to help her. Rafe is the closest and heads towards her to take her to Montana and to safety...or so they think. Connections are formed as the Cartel keeps showing up, but will they survive to have a happy ever after? From page 1 to the end action packed to keep reading late into the night. Once again strong characters who fight against evil with the help of the Brotherhood.
Another great book in the brotherhood protectors series. We have two main characters in this book, Briana a social worker who wants to protect women and children and Rafe, a special forces guy off to a new job with Hank. All hell let’s loose when Briana helps a woman and child no knowing what is going to happen. She is running for her life and it’s up to Rafe to help and keep her safe. Phew. So much action that I couldn’t put the book down because I needed to know what would happen next. A great read from the beginning and I really look forward to more.
As usual, this Delta Force book is a roller coaster ride of fast paced action, emotion and thrills!! Brianna sees a woman and her baby in trouble and, helps to get them to safety= she thinks! Unfortunately, the cartel looking for the woman and baby is now looking for Brianna, too! Briana calls her brother, who is a Brotherhood Protector and, he asks Rafe to go help his sister stay safe. The heat between these two is volatile from day one and just gets hotter as they do everything to keep themselves and, everyone else safe from the cartel! LOVED IT!!!
Briana's job is to help and protect children. So when she hears sobbing and a baby's cry coming from an alley she stops to help. Little did she know just how much trouble she would be facing by helping this woman and child. Rafe has just left the Army and is a new recruit with The Brotherhood Protectors. His first assignment is keeping Brianna safe While the El Salvadorian El Jefe Diablo is searching for her. Together they will be fighting for their lives and the lives of the woman and child Briana helped. A great read in the romantic suspense genre.
I love this series. Hot alpha men and badass women, who wouldn't. The Brotherhood Protectors hire retired military. Though at times it seems like they are still in the military.
Briana is a Child Welfare Officer which she enjoys most days. Today is not one of them. After helping a woman and her baby, someone is after her and they won't stop until she is dead.
Rafe is retired from Delta Force. Now he works for Hank, who owns The Brotherhood Protectors agency. He has been assigned to guard Briana, who happens to be a former teammates sister. But what happens if he fails?
