With the demonic threat taken care of, relative peace has returned to the Labyrinth City, allowing the residents to return all focus to the Labyrinth itself. But when the deeper levels of the Labyrinth prove to be more of a challenge than anyone realized, Satou decides it's time for some special training with the Elves!
I really enjoy it when a book is not all about just the fighting for the action. This is an excellent example of that the whole series is quite convoluted but a great deal of the focus is about the day-to-day activities. Much of the series has a great deal of action but the Mundelein activities are just as interesting.
The one thing I wish to complain about is that the main character, Satou, seems to be mentally ill. He has excellent qualities and avoids the Gods' meddling by trying to be obscure or subtle instead of publicly heroic, but his perceptions of sex are demeaning to both him and anyone he ever partners with. It is very fortunate he seldom has sex with anyone so the real story can go on - no one in this book, same as most in this series. Enjoy!
Satou and friends decide to return to the Elf Forest for further training. The elves discover his problem. Since Satou is there, his companions expect him to save them when things get hairy.
In the final two chapters, we reunite with the rest of the Homunculus Sisters, and a random Japanese man who calls himself John Smith. We also reunite with Zena, the girl Satou saves in the first volumes.
Mostly about the people who aren't the main character and character growth around them. Kinda good kinda bad depends on where he will take it in volume 13 as i think he is grounding the story in one place to much. The ending having a newish character from the foreshadowing come along is good. Zena from volume 1 and 2 comes into volume 12 too just not in Labyrinth city.
I like this new installment of the story it has action adventure intrigue bad guys and heartwarming scenes. I hope to read the next story as I'd like to see what happens next in the development of all the characters.
Arisa gets far too hyped up at times. Honestly I'd throw a bucket of water over her lol. A good steady addition to the series, training and live combat with the usual hunger inducing meal descriptions thrown in as well
Not sure why I continue to read this, I just want tama and pochi all the time, enough with the different versions of MC, enough with the mindless all night crafting sessions to solve every worldly problem.
I was disappointed in this volume. Most of the other volumes had some significant progress made with the plot. This was a lot of filler. I know that's typical in light novels, but it was worse with this volume.
I have completed the WebNovel and let me tell you that the plot in LightNovels of this Series is really different and many new story lines have been added to LN to tie up the loose ends of the webnovel. Most of the parts of this book seem to have been changed and some parts added to tie up the loose ends of webnovel also we get to see some new introductions for characters which they never got in Webnovel. So I would recommend anyone who has read the webnovel to read this too. Just like the previous books this one is quite enjoyable too since this book continues the 'Labyrinth City' arc story. The book it self is quite short though.
As of now I've finished both the web novel and light novel version of this volume. Both completely different, Both equally enjoyable. All I can really say about this is that if you've enjoyed the series this far you wont be disappointed. Also how can you leave us hanging like this!
