After a messy break-up, Azealia Joseph finds herself out on the streets. Homeless and heartbroken, she tries her best to push forward, especially since she's just landed the job of her dreams. Without enough money to move out on her own, she decides to search for a roommate.
Desperate and pressed to have a place to call her own, she searches for a roommate in an affordable apartment. She eventually comes across an ad for a roommate in an upscale stylish loft at an unbelievable price. The home is perfect and large enough so that she won't feel cramped with her new roommate, River.
When she first meets River, Azealia is smitten by her sweet and welcoming demeanor. River is the spoiled daughter of a wealthy attorney who has threatened to cut her off if she doesn't get a job and someone to share the rent with. Desperate to stay in her father's good graces and pockets, she does what he suggests and gets a roommate.
Things between the two young women start off on the right foot - that is, until River begins to show her true colors. Unable to contain her craziness for long, River becomes obsessed with Azealia in the most bizarre ways.
River's obsession has no limits. She is willing to kill, steal and destroy to get close to Azealia.
This is a standalone novel, with twists and turns that you won't be able to predict. Are you down for the psychotic ride?
This was a good read with a lot of drama and interesting characters. I enjoyed watching the one character unravel more each chapter. The author made me happy I don’t have a roommate.
River was a straight psychopath! When a deal seems too good run and fast. This was a story of a horrible spoiled girl who only wanted what she wanted. Chile that ending tho!
This Book title has been updated as "My Psycho Roommate" when you search for it on Amazon.
This booked touched on so many situations such as culture appropriation, mental illness, racism, and so much more. It was an extremely good story. Basically, Azealia ignores all the red flags and becomes roommates with a spoiled daddy's girl with identity issues. River's admiration for Azealia becomes an obsession, not only does she want to be best roomies but she also wants to be Azealia. After reading this book, You might think twice about moving in with a complete stranger. By the way, This book was inspired by TRUE events.

This book was crazy from the jump. Azealia came home early and walked into some bull crap that’s when I knew it was going to on and popping in this book. He best friend Nelila was no joke she saw the bull crap a mile away with River the psycho chick. That chick River had serious issues whenever she things someone was doing her dirty she got revenge in the worst way but at the end she got what she deserved that psycho b****h. Good read check it out you won’t be disappointed at all.
What bothers me about this story is that it's 'based on true events' yet there's no telling how much is fiction. I was livid about the deaths, especially the police officer involved one since justice needed to be served at two levels. River was truly 'touched' and obsessed with black culture, but for the wrong reasons. I've read a handful of this author's books; this was not her best work.
I loved it! I loved everything about this book I’m just saddened how it ended but you can’t always have a happy ending without something happening!! It held my attention from beginning to end the only thing I would say was wrong with it was the frequent flashbacks and some of it was already read in the beginning of the book. I highly recommend
Pretty good book. The plot had potential that the author lived up to. Editing problems galore! Misspelled and missing words like this was a rough draft. A fourth of the book is flashbacks. I don’t know why the author felt she had to rewrite the same passage we JUST read a few pages before. It was SO annoying.
This book is awesome. I could not put it down. I wish it was a series because I wanna find out what is happening now. These characters are so real. Bravo!!!! Love this book.
Author N'Dia strikes again! I just love this author. I know this much though. Miss Nelila keep that gun on her but couldn't use it for River SMH wow! River should be dead. I wanted her to die lol White trash!! Well I enjoyed this author Rae. I love whatever she do!!
Ms. River had an serious issue with African American ppl, hell she was in loved with the males but had an love-hate for the females. Poor Cyrus was a causlty of that hate smh. But in the end am glad the girls were safe, but River got off too damn easy for murder
The book held my interest but too many grammatical errors, name switching and repeat sentences made me not love the book. I suggest you proofread and correct the errors because it would be sad to waste such a good story.
Fast read, page turner, suspenseful. Wish that Cyrus did not have to die
I wanted to see that the two friends retaliate against roommate and beauty shop manager. Seems that Kim still has to make retribution for her devious actions.
I hate Cyrus got killed and almost got Azelia charged with his murder. I really wanted River to go down for all the stuff she did, especially the innocent death of Jerome and Cyrus.
Obvious behaviors. You expect everything that happens although it is a page turner. The author does write well and has great imaginative stories to write. I hope she continues with that trend.
I really enjoyed this book. Woo wheee. The biggest "aha" moment for me was when River's motive was revealed. I thought it was well written, detailed, etc. and I liked it overall.
