Maggie Jacobs is passionate about driving positive change and growth for individuals, teams, executives, and organizations. She has spent 10+ years working with C-suite executives, turning the seemingly impossible into reality. A survivor of trials and traumas, Maggie has developed a philosophy that strength and resilience can be found with open, honest, and authentic communication, solution-finding—and decisive action. Today, Maggie speaks, writes, trains, and advises individuals on achieving more and transcending the boundaries of their own perception. This isn't a “How To” or “10 Steps to Success” handbook to take you superficially from zero to hero. It's an inspiring guide to help you find your voice, stop playing small, and step into your greatness, both personally and professionally. “Inside each of us is a well of infinite fire waiting to be ignited. May you find that spark and surround yourself with those who fan your flames.” — Maggie Jacobs
Maggie’s message in The Elevated EA is open-hearted and powerful. Her honed communication skills are reflected in this powerful guide. It is an intimate portrait of her personal journey and a poignant reminder of all the possibilities available to us if we can dig deep and believe in our own capabilities. This book is chock full of excellent resources for every level of Assistant. I recommend it to those just starting to explore the role, those paralyzed in their current position, or, like me, those looking to build up their confidence and take the next step.
Maggie is authentic, fearless and challenging in this surprisingly riveting business book. I couldn't put it down.
I have been an EA for nearly two decades and I found her information useful and fresh. She offers great insight into the power of professional development. She also points to the power of learning to lead from within. She even addresses the age old struggle for EAs - confidence!
Maggie is very transparent and that was very refreshing. She does drop some names however usually in the context of a great story where she was surprised to come in contact with the person! The only thing that frustrated me through her stories were the many many references to the professional development courses and conferences she paid for herself. As a single mom living in midsize cities, that type of financial reliance is not available! EAs in my world barely earn mid-50 so there’s no PD money sitting there screaming “spend me on a conference” for sure!
I read this book with an EA book club. I typically read fiction and books about my career tend to…not excite me. I’ve been an EA for over 18 years, but this book totally surprised me! Maggie tells her story in a way that is engaging and inspiring and it’s really found me at a time when I’m started to get bored with work. After reading it, I feel motivated to continue to learn and network as you just never know where it could lead. Highly recommend for anyone in the EA role, whether you’re new in it or an old dog like me. Wish I had read this sooner!
A great read for everyone that wants to grow into their role. No matter the exact job title, experience, age or country, this book proves you can become and have everything you want if you own your past, present and future, and never stop learning and growing, putting yourself out there, getting out of your comfort zone!
Reading Maggie’s book has ignited something inside me. In her easy, conversational style she was able to put into words my own thoughts, fears, and aspirations. I’m energized to take my role as an EA to the next level. I will be reading this again and again!
Ich hatte mir praktische Tipps erhofft und war anfangs enttäuscht, aber die Message des Buches wurde immer besser und ich konnte extrem viel für mein Leben herausziehen.
