I once read that you only get one true love in a lifetime . . . and mine was Wyatt Slade. Fierce, wild, reckless—that boy was my everything. Until he shattered my heart.
He was my first. The day he slipped that promise ring on my finger, I gave him all of me—there was no going back. So when I saw him kiss my best friend, I knew I had to get the hell out.
The thing about growing up in a one-stoplight town is that when you finally return home, everyone knows. It feels like every corner here has a story—a memory. One I’ve been running from for 10 years.
But the moment my eyes land back on Wyatt, it’s like I’ve fallen in love all over again. A stolen kiss drenched in tequila sets off a firestorm. One I’m not sure I’ll survive.
A decade spent running from my heart, and here I am back in his arms, ready to embrace a new future, and let our past go.
I swore I’d never trust him again. He swore he’d never hurt me again. Never say never . . .
Does true love deserve a second chance?

NOT SAFE DOUBLE STANDARDS SEXIST VIRGIN h EXPERIENCED H H fucked others during the separation h was celibate CHEATING (author was pathetically trying to make it pass as a simple drunk mistake) he chose to drink and started the kiss so fuck him and fuck you who wrote this garbage Pathetic heroine
Cheating
The moment I step out, my eyes land on Destiny’s back.” ... “I step up to her back and press my lips to her neck. She tilts her head to the side, giving me more of her. The different perfume she’s wearing burns my nose as I breathe it in, but I don’t think anything of it when she spins around, wraps her arms around my neck, and kisses me. My arms immediately wrap around her, pulling her closer to my chest as I deepen the kiss. Something seems off—different. And it’s not just the perfume. The way she tastes is different; maybe she’s had some of Mark’s spiked punch. But the way her tongue moves with mine is different too.”
Destiny is the heroine but this scene happened with her best friend who was also drunk. I truly believed he was so drunk he thought it was his girlfriend but I also truly don’t give a fuck because it is still cheating and how he acts during the separation makes him total irredeemable
She lost her virginity with him and was celibate for 10 fucking yearssssss!!!!! Hate that shit
He was drunk as fuck and kissed her friend who liked to flirt with him on prom night. He believed he was kissing the heroine but realized something was not feeling right, but then heroine showed up and saw it. She broke up and left town. Oh and how funny is that he used to be a natural flirt so he and her best friend used to have a natural banter hahah gag Destiny (h) was jealous and he didn’t care too much about it
He loved her so much that instead of going after when she left to college he stay and fucked the girl she hated when she went away. He said they spend a lot time talking about the h but don’t fool yourself, after the talking he fucked the ow. This went on for months
Zero to the ow:
“In fact, every time you and I were together back then, all we did was talk about her.” 🤢🤢 well asshole don’t forget to mention he also fucked her
If you like grovel run far away from this because he never even use the word “sorry”
The first time they saw each other after 10 years they kiss, the second they fuck. The third time they are saying they are in love with each other and fucking again. She is too pathetic
Author you should rethink what you think you know about love cause ten years went by they don’t even know each other anymore and you didn’t even create something deep to justify why the fuck she still has any feelings for him. This garbage is not only unrealistic, is offensive to women
He tells her he was always in love with her and compared every girl with her but don’t worry, he was still able to fuck those girls while she was a frozen doormat.
10 years separation and of course the cheater was able to move on, but she wasnt.
“Sure, I’ve dated, but I haven’t been with anyone other than Wyatt. Ever. I gave him my virginity and haven’t been with anyone since. I couldn’t let my guard down long enough. I couldn’t even think about letting another man touch me—not while I was still in love with Wyatt.”
When you write shit like that just proves that the heroine is stupid, weak and pathetic. Also, she loves him so much she couldn’t stand touching another man but he fucked other girls, so he doesn’t love her as much as she loves him. This shit is not romantic. 10 years apart is unrealistic and unhealthy for a woman to be pinning for a high school boyfriend, stalking him on Facebook where he posts photos with women some of them he used to fuck and during all this time being celibate. I’m disgusted
He never looked her Facebook page afraid she would have been married and you know what author she should have married some nice guy and also had a couple kids, it was only fair she had a social life and a family while he was busy traveling and fucking gorgeous women. He refer to the woman he used to fuck as gorgeous but of course heroine is the best. Flattering
Makes no sense that he is the one who fucked up but she is the one who was celibate and pinning after him.
“Every guy I’ve dated since him, I’ve compared to him. They can’t live up to his memory.” FUCK YOU. The guy cheated on you honey, he settled the standards pretty fucking low, literally every guy who is not a cheater is better than him
“How many women, not including me, have you had sex with?” My brows shoot up in surprise. “Like . . . in my whole life?” She nods. “I didn’t exactly keep count,” I tell her. “Probably 10?”
I dated other people, but never let things go too far. STUPID BITCH
He fucked a girl who was constantly flirting with in while they were at school. The heroine hated the girl
“I had a thing with a girl in town for a while after you left for college. I broke things off with her when I decided to travel.” (...) “I was heartbroken; what do you want from me? I wasn’t feeling like myself and she was there. She was always there, no matter where I went. It was like she had a tracking device on me or something.” “Probably did, just waiting to catch you at your weakest moment. So, was it just a hookup or did you two actually date?” “I couldn’t date her. I couldn’t think of anyone but you.” “So it only happened once?” I say to myself, but it comes out sounding like a question. “I didn’t say that.” My eyes cut back to him. “How many times?” “A few months, I guess. I don’t know. I’d get drunk and bored, and I’d call her up. She’d show up, wherever I was, and—”
Later when the girl he hooked up after the heroine left town is trying to hit on him he is turning her down and he said their time together was great and I was pisses as fuck that he also keeps being gentle to her like she sat on her lap and he pulled her away gentle. Fuck that shit you get up instantly and back away from her you asshole
(...)”What we had was great at the time, but that time is over.” He couldn’t date her, but still had a great time, I sure believe how heat broken he was while he was having a great time sticking his dick on a girl the woman he loved hated. This woman tries to make the heroine believe they hooked up again but it’s a lie. When he is explaining he feels the heroine he never wanted anyone before her ????? I’m sorry but he fucked this girl after heroine left and he fucked others so honey stop lying
🤢🤢🤢 he claiming he was in pain during the separation but he also says he fucked gorgeous women and had a great time with the one ow the heroine hated for a few months after heroine left for college. 🤬🤬
Heroine was going to tell her she was pregnant the same night he kissed her best friend, she lost the baby before going to college
One of the weakest heroines I ever saw and he never really realized that he CHEATED
HE WAS DRUNK AND KISSED ANOTHER GIRL!!!! DOESNT MATTER IF HE BELIEVED IT WAS THE HEROINE BECAUSE IT WAS NOT HER SO HE DID CHEAT. AUTHOR, STOP TRYING TO MAKE IT PASS AS A SIMPLE MISTAKE BECAUSE IT WASNT
TELL ME SOMETHING AUTHOR HE WAS SO FUCKING IN LOVE WITH HER THAT HE COULD NOT THINK OF ANYONE BUT THE HEROINE BUT HE COULD FUCK OTHERS???? ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY? That shit makes no sense

Cheating H (drunken identity mistake with h bff), but then he fucks the ow after the h leaves town.
The h is celibate for 10 yrs. H wasn’t, in fact he became a manwhore while the pathetic h whined about how she couldn’t be with om, because she still loved him. I guess he didn’t love her enough to not sleep around, is that what you’re trying to say author? And he kept drinking, when his drinking was the cause of the break up.
Loves Me NOT is book 4 in Alexis Winter's Slade Brothers series. You do not have to read these books together to understand what's going on but it would give you a better understanding of Wyatt going in.
This story revolves around Wyatt and and Destiny. First we get their backstory, they were high school sweethearts and on their way to a happy ever after. Then there is a "drunken mistake" and everything falls apart. Destiny runs off since she can't be around Wyatt at all and tries to make her own path to happiness. Time passes and fate throws this pair back together, Wyatt is desperate for another chance and eventually Destiny.
This story is a bit predictable and I wasn't a big fan of the opening backstory. The characters do redeem themselves and I became more sympathetic towards them as we learn more about them. It's a good story overall but probably my least favorite in this series.
I received this ebook ARC from the author on the condition that I write an honest review. This was book 4 about the Slade brothers. I’ve read the previous books in this series, and have loved each one. This is the story of how Wyatt gets his woman back. The main male character is Wyatt, young brother of the Slade family. He used to work with a rock group and traveled all over, but now he is tired and returns home to work at the family brewery. The main female character is Destiny, a young woman who went through some devastation and misunderstandings, so she left to go to college and worked out of state. She returns home because her father has fallen ill. Wyatt and Destiny had been in love while in high school, but misunderstandings occur at Senior prom and they break up. Years later the have both returned to their home town and meet up again, they then realize that their feelings for each other, have never disappeared. They begin another relationship and there always seems to be problems from outside sources. Eventually everything is resolved and they reach their HEA. The ending was outstanding and the entire book had me hoping that they would reach their much deserved happiness. Once again Ms Winter has written a beautiful romantic story, and I’ll always recommend her books.

I enjoyed Wyatt & Destiny's book. Good characters. It was an emotional roller coaster of a read. I received a free copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Destiny and wyatt's story was very sweet with a lot of tragic memories for them. They still love each other from high school but a drunken mistake broke them up and neither moved on. They show up in town at the same time and they are instantly drawn together and fight tone together. It had such a sweet endearing ending. Wyatt was so sentimental and sweet, couldn't help but to fall in love with these two!

I've really enjoyed this series so far. The characters all feel "real". The emotions are strong. Each couple has different challenges to overcome and life doesn't always flow smoothly, but they are there for each other. The characters grow up and realize that life without each other is empty. Wyatt is a great character. His enduring love for Destiny is so heart-warning and swoon-worthy. Great read!

I absolutely loved this second chance love story by Alexis. I am loving this series so far and in this book we follow Wyatt and Destiny’s story. High school sweethearts who go separate ways after a drunken mistake but reunite years later after coming home for different reasons. This wonderful sexy second chance love story has all the feels and I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I received this book as an arc for my honest opinion.
“Young love” or “puppy love” are usually the phrases used by adult observers to label the emotions of love when expressed by adolescents, but those emotions are rarely given the value of being really “in love.” So, Destiny Parker and Wyatt Slade, high school “sweethearts” or “crushes,” moved through their senior year in the haze of “love”—hanging out with another couple—Mark and Julie—enjoying the haze of love, and for the guys, that haze was with the added ingredient of alcohol, especially during their final high school days including prom and graduation. As far as Wyatt was concerned, Destiny was “the one” and with that in mind, he had already asked his father to allow him to start constructing a house on his piece of the family land. He had placed a “promise” ring on Destiny’s ring finger months earlier, and he planned on giving her “the ring” the day after prom.
And, dressed for prom in his tux, the tall, lean dark-eyed Wyatt made Destiny’s heart throb and the slender, blonde-haired, blue-eyed Destiny, was Wyatt’s dream for the future. But, everything blew up when in a drunken haze Wyatt mistakenly snuggled up behind Julie whom in his haze, he mistook for Destiny who was similarly attired in a white dress, and after nuzzling her neck, he turned her for a deep kiss. Witnessing, but not understanding her guy kissing her best friend, Destiny’s worst nightmares and neurotic fears were fulfilled in that one moment, and nothing could be said by Wyatt or Julie, then or later, to convince Destiny that he had made a drunken mistake, not willfully cheating or betraying her love. And so, they parted before they even graduated. And, by the end of summer, Destiny had left for college, and Wyatt, with an engagement ring in his sock drawer and a house under construction, also left, getting a job as a roadie for an up-and-coming Indi band. And for over four years, the two young broken-hearted lovers tried to move on.
And time, while not always healing, does provide perspective. Wyatt, had grown up as one of the youngest of 5 loving brothers. His mother had died before he had memory of her, and his grieving dad had tried to cope with the help of alcohol and a string of nannies to wrangle his boys. So, while “home” wasn’t picture perfect, it was home, and he was tired of roaming and seeking a way to fill the hole left in him with the absence of Destiny; so, he came home—to live and to join the family business—to be with his family.
And fatefully, Destiny has also come home to support her family. Her dad has had a stroke and her mom needs help. So, with her college degree in hand, she packs up and heads home leaving behind her dreams of city life and employment. And, she touches base with her old friend, Julie, she begins to unpack the hurt from the past, to consider other perspectives of that fateful prom night. But, the most challenging task she must confront is the fact that Wyatt is back in town, and evidently, not merely for a stopover while the band takes a break. He is back, but that doesn’t mean anything, the past is done—no do-overs—right?
Loves Me Not continues the story of the Slade Brothers series. This novel continues to weave a strong storyline with interesting characters and electrifying emotional connections. This forth novel continues to follow the romantic developments of a family with secrets and unresolved heartache that needs to be addressed to bring happiness and healing to all members of the family. Each novel can be read independently, but the Slades are so engaging that you will want to know each member and his story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review ARCS, but I enjoyed the reading experience so much that I bought a copy for my "read-again" titles.
ARC was given by Author through Booksprout. My review is giving completely voluntarily.
I gave this book 5 stars it was really good I love this Author! Loves Me Not is the 4th book in the Slade Brothers series by Alexis Winter. This is a second chance at love romance.
This story is one I had been looking forward to, because Wyatt was one of the brother's we knew less of so I was curious about his childhood. Wyatt and Destiny's story was heart melting to me. He is the sweetest man....omg I fell in love with him. Young Wyatt fell in love with Destiny at 16 in high school, and after everything that happened, the time that has passed, the many woman he's hookup with, she in the end is still the one for him. That drunken mistake at promo split them apart, and broke her heart and trust in him forever and she took off to college without looking back. Years later Destiny has to return back home because her dad had a stroke, and her parents needed her help. This part of the story is the hardest to me, it was so emotionally painful seeing them go through that change in the family. It was a tear jerker ( my mom had a stroke in Nov 😭) Wyatt also returns home because his dad also got sick and he was getting tired of traveling. He and Destiny they reconnected, and both realized that the sparks and intense magic they had in high school was still there ....the moment the looked into each other's eyes and they touched it's fireworks. This is a sweet story of second chance at love, not giving up, forgiveness, understanding, of course also trouble shows up, growing up, family relationships, healing, patience. Steamy Hot Sex, Baby Slade's 😍....This was a true HEA that took a while to get to. No cliffhanger, Standalone, but I guarantee you will not want to miss the rest of these books in this its Fantastic, Heartbreaking, Steamy, Loving Supporting Secondary Characters, Inspiring, Intensely Powerful, Entertaining, Mystery Suspense at times stories. It truly is freaking awesome...I love Alexis Winter ❤🙌
Wyatt Slade has been in love with Destiny Parker since high school. He even plans to propose to her on graduation night at the party. Unfortunately, he and his best friend Mark get so plastered, when Wyatt comes out of the bathroom after losing his gut, he slides up behind his beautiful lady, turning to kiss her fully. Only, he realizes at the same time that someone screams his name, it’s not Destiny’s perfume he is smelling. He is caught kissing Mark’s girlfriend, Julia, and Destiny is so livid that she ends her relationship with the cheater! She refuses his calls, and he finally gives up. Destiny goes away to college and Wyatt works as a roadie for some rock bands, traveling all over, meeting beautiful women, and has his picture plastered all over Facebook.
Several years have passed, and Destiny returns home because her father has had a stroke and her mother needs help caring for him. During this same time, Wyatt Decides to go home and work with his brothers at the family brewery because he’s tired of traveling and the band has just signed on with a major record label.
Naturally their paths are going to cross because they live in a small town. Julia, who owns the local bakery, has just divorced Mark, and she and Destiny plan to go out one night When Wyatt stops in to the bakery for coffee and a sandwich, Julia lets it slip that she and Destiny plan to be at the bar on a Friday night and suggests that he might want to visit, see if he connects with Destiny again. The only problem is whether Destiny can believe him when he tries, once again, to make her believe it was an accidental kiss he shared with Julia all those years ago. Can she let go of the years of hurt and resentment?
This is a sweet read with a truly happy ending.

Alexis Winter has written a 5-a star book. Destiny and Wyatt were a couple back in high school until a misunderstanding broke them up on the night of prom. Now years later they are both back in their home town without knowing the other is there. Julie was Destiny's best friend and she is the reason Destiny and Wyatt broke up. Destiny caught Wyatt kissing Julie at the prom. Wyatt said it was a mistake but she will not listen to him. She won't listen to Julie either the night it happened. Destiny left to go to college and now she is back home to help her mom with her dad since he has had a stroke. Destiny sees Julie when she stops at the bakery to get some muffins for her dad. Julie wants to get together but Destiny said she, not that night since it was her first night home but she would do it the next night. Julie runs into Wyatt and she tells him that Destiny is back in town and lets him know that they are going out that night and where they will be. Destiny forgives Julie and when Julie tells her that she saw Wyatt that day, she asks "Destiny if she ever talked to him?" Destiny tells her that no they are over. While out Destiny starts to feel strang and Julie tells her that Wyatt just walked in and Destiny asks what should she do? Wyatt walks up to Destiny and she said hi to him. He tries to talk to her but she doesn't want to talk. All the feelings she had for him come back to her and she doesn't want to deal with them. Wyatt's feelings are still there and he decides that he will do anything to get her back. Will Destiny ever give Wyatt the chance to explain what happened on prom night and give him a second chance? Can Wyatt prove to Destiny that she is the only one for him and get her back? This was a wonderful book to read and I would recommend it to anyone.

Steamy and poignant second chance romance but also a cautionary tale Wyatt Slade is going home. To the place where his family lives and runs a business, and to where he made the biggest mistake of his life on Prom night. He drinks too much. You’d think since his father is an alcoholic that he would have better sense, but apparently his errors of judgement occur after having imbibed too much. Destiny Parker is going home too because her father had a stroke and her parents need help. What she doesn’t want is to run into Wyatt, her former high school lover. Prom night was the end of their relationship but she still can’t get him out of her head. When they meet up again…oooweee! Hot! And it only gets hotter as they get closer. Look out for the town tramp, unresolved issues and secrets. Some scenes were beautifully written: first meeting at the bar/dance; when Wyatt pleads his case/love in the rain; when he describes where he’d hoped they would be w/o prom night; her reaction to his vision of what might have been; her mom’s advice about not wasting time; his fear of going home from the hospital w/o help; and lastly the chapel scene with Wyatt on his knees. I loved how flash-backs were used to show us how things happened between Wyatt and Destiny when they were younger. Gives the reader insight into how and why they react the way they do. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout and it comes highly recommended. I give it 4.5 super stars.
Wyatt and Destiny were high school sweethearts and lovers until a stupid drunken mistake on Prom night tore them apart. Even though it had been years since Prom, and he has travelled the world, Wyatt has never been able to forget the woman who still holds his heart. Now back home, this time to stay, memories and dreams of what might have been with Destiny assault Wyatt once again. Call it Fate or coincidence, Destiny is also home now in order to help with her ill father. Wyatt becomes determined to grab a second chance with Destiny, though she seems just as determined to turn him away. But their still fierce attraction to each other cannot be denied. A passionate night together leaves Destiny confused and unsure, while Wyatt begins to feel much more hopeful. While Destiny wrestles with forgiveness, someone else is determined to keep them apart. Will Fate finally bring these two strong-willed lovers together forever or push them apart again?
This second chance at love story tugs at your heartstrings, leaving you invested in a very happily ever after for this couple who have kept the flames of love burning in their hearts for years. This is a book worthy of being read again. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wyatt Slade has loved Destiny Parker since their high school days. He had even planned to ask her to marry him. But at Prom, he got drunk and mistakenly kissed Julia, with Destiny witnessing the whole thing. Her trust shattered and she left, ignoring his attempts to contact her. They go their separate ways, she leaving for college and he getting work with rock bands as a roadie. Unfortunately, his wild activities were all documented on social media.
When Destiny returns home to help her mom after her dad’s stroke, she meets up with Wyatt who has also come home. He’s tired of the travel and the life he has been living on the road. He instead now works with his brothers at the brewery. As soon as they look into each other’s eyes, they know they are still in love. But will Destiny listen to him when he tells her again that the kiss she saw was a complete accident? After 10 years, is she ready to embrace a new future, and let the past go?
This was a good story line. But with both still feeling their love resurfacing, it’s a matter now of rebuilding the trust. It may take time and commitment, but it can come back even stronger. Will Destiny take the first step toward that second chance at a HEA? Grab your copy and see what kind of future they both will choose.
I love small town romances, second chances, and revelations. This book has it all. You will fall in love with the characters, just as I did. There is humor, irony, some angst, families, and friendships. Yes, there are steamy scenes. You will love this book! Destiny is coming home to help care for her father. Thee last person she expects to see is her high school sweetheart. The man who broke her heart. Wyatt has been travelling as a roadie for a band, but it's time to come home and settle into his job at the family brewery. When he sees Destiny, the memories overpower him He has never stopped loving her. Now that they are back in the same town, he is determined to make Destiny his. He even has the engagement ring to prove it. Come. Join Destiny and Wyatt as they struggle to overcome the misunderstandings of the past The attraction is still there, intense, inevitable, undeniable. Though the road is bumpy, they will make it to HEA. It is a ride you will enjoy! This book contains adult themes and language, steamy sex, and is intended for mature readers only. Trigger: a miscarriage in the past is revealed. It is done respectfully. I was in no way offended.

Destiny and Wyatt’s story is one that you don’t want to miss. Alexis does a great job with bringing all the feels of what was once a young love that was torn apart by a stupid drunken mistake and bringing them back together again. Of course, their journey won’t be easy because small town people from the past don’t want to see them happy. The way this author writes just amazes me how she describes the love they have for each other and the flashbacks from the past just add to the story. The romance she brings and the way she has Wyatt swooning over Destiny is so beautiful. Then there is the reason for their return to their hometown after the breakup and it is because of both their parents suffering from illnesses and how they need to be there for them. Destiny’s mom really opens her eyes to things and it helps that she was always a sucker for Wyatt. I truly loved this book and Alexis Winter is a one click author for me, but I was honored to receive and ARC copy of this book and all thoughts and opinions are mine alone.

Wyatt Slade and Destiny Parker were high school sweethearts. Until a misunderstanding broke them on prom night. He mistakenly kissed her best friend from behind, thinking it was Destiny. Ten years later, they are both back in town. He finally got to see her, and he wanted to apologize and explain what happened that night. He has always loved her. Even though he was away for ten years, she was the one that got away. She is back in town to help her parents. Her dad had a stroke, and her mom needed help. She was glad to be back, but she didn't know if she could forgive Wyatt. She loves him too. But she doesn't want him to break her heart again. They start seeing each other and can't live without each other. Great story of how a misunderstanding can change your life and all that wasted time. I love these Slade brothers and the women they love. Love with all their hearts and can't live without. Another great story by Alexis Winter
This is a great story about second chances. Wyatt and Destiny were high school sweethearts. Everyone knew they would marry and have the happily ever after. Unfortunately, a stupid, drunken mistake on prom night ends those dreams. Destiny runs off to college rather than stay in their small town. Afterwards, she gets a job in the city and stays there. She just can’t face seeing him everyday. Wyatt waits around, hoping to get another chance. When it doesn’t happen, he finally leaves town also. He gets work as a roadie and travels the world. As fate would have it, both Wyatt and Destiny return to their same small town at the same time. Is this a sign from the universe that they are meant to be together, or just to remind them of what they lost? Can they make their way back to each other? Will history repeat itself or can they overcome their past to create a future together? I loved this book!! The Slade brothers are so much fun to read about!!
I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.
I've been able to read all of the Slade Brothers stories so far and have really enjoyed them. This one was my last favorite, sadly, but I'm still glad I was able to read it.
Second chance romances are always a hit or miss for me. At the beginning, the flash backs to senior year with Wyatt and Destiny was a bit over powering and over whelming in the book. And I thought that Destiny's reasons for not giving Wyatt another chance, yet becoming bffs with Julie right away was a bit ridiculous.
These two were always stuck in the past, even when Destiny forgave Wyatt. There were so many thoughts going back to senior year that I thought it was too much.
Also, why didn't Wyatt learn from his lesson of drinking too much after prom? He was making the same mistakes and not learning from them.
Overall this was an okay novel. I wish I loved it more, but I am glad I read it!
I loved, loved, loved this book. Loves me not is book 4 in the Slade Brothers series and I think this is my favourite. I could not get enough of Destiny and Wyatt's story. It was of love, heartbreak, forgiveness but most importantly of second chances. Wyatt and Destiny had to wait years for their happily ever after due a misunderstanding at their prom and even though they had a rocky road to their HEA neither one gave up on the other, especially Wyatt. I love this series because we have strong characters and wonderful story lines. Alexis Winter has become one of my favourite authors and I devour anything that she writes. Each book gives us insight into the Slade family and I cannot wait to read the next book to read more about these great characters and to see if their mysterious brother makes an appearance. Highly recommend this series.

Loves Me Not is my very first Alexis Winter book and Small Town Romance and I have to say I fell in love with the characters and the story plot. Wyatt has me from the very first page with his sweet, loving personality. I’m so grateful we got his POV when things went south at prom in the beginning because it helped me understand him and not hate him for his mistake. I absolutely loved Destiny and was rooting for her and Wyatt’s happiness. They are both amazing characters who have developed throughout the book and are very genuine. There was great chemistry from the two main characters from the very first chapter, I loved getting a peek into the secondary character’s lives (I definitely need to go and read the other Slade brother’s books), and adored the relationships between family. This was an epic story about love, forgiveness, family, and moving forward with life without negative feelings.

High school sweethearts, Wyatt & Destiny have the instant attraction for each other & are destined to have their HEA. When Wyatt is caught in a mistaken identity incident, their world crashes & both leave their small town. Years later, they return home & they face their past, clearing up on what really happened back then. Wyatt continues to woo Destiny, trying to recapture their love together. Even with past classmates trying to destroy their strong bond, these 2 young loves are soulmates & will not waste another day apart. Having the flashbacks has helped clarify in understanding more of their current thoughts & actions of Wyatt & Destiny. A lot of deep emotions in this novel which Alexis Winter has captured quite well.
I'm looking forward to reading the next novel, especially finding out more about this mysterious new sibling who wants a piece of the Slade fortune.

What a great story this was. I'm really enjoying this series so far although I realised today I've read books 3 & 4 instead of 1&2 lol oh well it still doesn't detract from how good this series is. This book was Wyatt and Destiny's story . One full of teenage hopes and dreams until a misunderstanding accures and soon those hopes and dreams are shattered. Ten years on and both come home for different reasons and when they see each other again the old flame is reignited and they realise after all this time it didn't flicker out. Although I've said I really enjoyed this book there were parts that I feel weren't explained properly and certain characters seem to have gotten off considering the damage they had done to both Wyatt and Destiny . But it won't stop me from reading more in this series though it's very refreshing and the author has a way with words that entice you to keep reading. Five stars from me.
I loved Wyatt Slade. I couldn't stand Destiny Parker.
Wyatt and Destiny had been together since they were16 years old. On the night of their senior prom, a very drunk Wyatt kissed Destiny's best friend Julie by mistake. (The lighting, the girls' similar dresses and hairstyles all factored into it.) Instead of hearing him out, Destiny breaks up with Wyatt and they don't see each other for years... until "fate" brings them both back to their small home town at the same time.
Destiny forgives Julie after all this time, but she doesn't forgive Wyatt and she acts like a b!tc# toward him for most of the book. (I really hated to see him beg her! But be was in love...go figure.)
There was a little drama and a couple of twists and turns to make it a little more interesting... But the typos! Man...they are killing me with the typos! For the sake of all that is good and right, hire a proofreader!
