^^ ~ Jax is getting out of town before he starts his tour and he needs someone from his security detail to go with him. Abby initially doesn’t want to go, but the head of security (and Abby’s fiancé) says she needs to go. Right before she leaves, her fiancé ends up dumping her. So, while Jax and Abby are at the cabin, some truths are revealed about feelings that have been hidden for years.

^^ ~ Not the typical rockstar. There was one scene around 95% where Jax was on stage. No band mates were in the book and no sex, drugs, or rock-n-roll. Very tame. Definitely didn't feel very rockstar-ish
^^ ~ I didn't feel like I knew Jax at all. No backstory or understanding of who he was. I needed his POV
^^ ~ clean romance. First kiss late in the book and at 99% their bedroom scene was all behind closed doors. Just said “Jax didn't go home that night”

I love a Rock Star romance and a rom-com so thought this ticks all boxes. 8 weeks before her wedding Abby's fiance dumps her. So she decides to head off to a remote cabin to help protect her employers , rockstar Jax, from his stalker. She finds out lots of things on this trip, primarily that Jax knows why she was dumped, and reveals that he's in love with her. It was a very quick read for me and I would have liked to see it develop the story and characters a bit more, but I enjoyed the read.

I loved it
The drama of protecting a rock star, I really enjoyed this one, the bonus bit was wonderful, I loved the dynamic of the rock star and the bodyguard and how, when and why he fell in love with her, Abby was so oblivious to it, it was beautifully written, I l ove that he bided his time until she was ready,well worth a read.

A cute and quick read! Enjoyed the main female character, Abby. Kind of sassy, but definitely could have used more Jax!
