3.8 Stars .. A new author for me with this book. A great start and things heat up when Pierre and PD Matthew meet. Pierre definitely intrigued about Matthew considering he didnt believe in attractions. Matthew's life situation was sad one even for a detective. The story was progressing along and then it seemed Matthew does a 180 with regarding to Pierre. A mystery to solve with a good ending. Both POVs included, for a slow romance. This was a good story it just didnt grab me probably due to lots of descriptions I couldn't get into.
Pierre thought attraction was a myth, certianly the French Cobra didnt do love.. Having a thief steal his belongs out of gym locker peeved him off and then more happens..
*I received this book for an ARC Review* I enjoyed this book. I, personally, want to recommend to readers who want a nice, calm and enjoyable journey with mcs finding their HEA. It's a bit fluffy with two 'alpha' males as cms. Nothing wrong with that: just an observation. Their chemistry was off the charts hot. I loved how Pierre was not pushy but seemingly waiting for Matthew to basically catch up to his feelings. I also felt bad for him with his career 'sticking it to him' so to speak. As for Matthew, well my heart broke for him for a few reasons I won't mention due to not wanting to give spoilers. But I will say his past and present are not happy/good times for him. If anyone who did so much for others deserved a HEA, it was Matthew. I am very happy he gets his.
This slow burn story of men who are in line to get what they want but are finding that what they thought they wanted is not necessarily enough but they are still not sure that they should change to embrace something that they are finding that they want now. I like friends to lovers and the growth and the risk that it requires of the characters to embrace love in a different way in their lives and relationships. Good stuff here!

This book is a low drama story that ends with a sweet HEA. Our heroes fit well together once Matthew learns to share his secrets. I’m not sure trust is the only issue but it plays a big part for Matthew, as well, because of a past relationship. Together our heroes bring a sweet, low excitement love story to life. The mild drama involved gives a touch of intrigue but is wrapped up nicely and gives closure to the mystery. A low impact story but one that is definitely worth the reading time.

In her Authors Note Jaylen Florian says she fell deeply in love with Matthew and Pierre while writing their story, I feel exactly the same, I loved them. She also said it was difficult to end their story and she wanted to remain with them, I can only hope she thinks about that and writes more of these two amazing men. There is no angst here, just some mild sadness in regards to Matthew's Dad, some pretty intense sex, and an HEA (thank goodness). The story is gentle, deep, and totally fascinating, I never thought I'd enjoy reading about professional wrestling.
Two lonely men, introduced because of a crime, but it was chemistry that kept bringing them back together. They thought they knew what they wanted in life, but life had other plans, as it usually does.
This was a good story, and a fun read for a quiet evening in. It balanced both sweet and depth in it’s storyline. It’s always heartwarming to witness personal growth in one character, so it was a delightful bonus to witness it in both main characters.

A good story line with slow burn and HEA. The characters Pierre and Matthew were well written and they had great chemistry. I like how the author gave us their backstory. I definitely enjoyed this story and would recommend it! I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions
I really enjoyed Longing. I liked the slow build for Pierre and Matthew and how we got to know them individually at the beginning. I really loved their romance and it was hot, sexy and some sweet mixed in. I liked that it mentioned a character from the previous book in the series, Thirst which was set many years before Longing. I definitely recommend Longing and the Unexpected Attraction.
The storyline was a slow burn to hotness. There are lots of fun times and exciting ones too. The characters Pierre and Mathew lean a lot together and bond. It was a interesting read and I enjoyed it.
A interesting read. The characters fit well together and have amazing chemistry. The story will hold your attention all the way through. Looking forward to read more from this author.
I enjoyed this book from start to finish. The characters are well written and engaging with plenty of chemistry throughout the pages. The flowing storyline kept me turning the pages.

Pierre and Matthew had an overall decent storyline, character backstory and scenery. However there was something preventing me from connecting with these men and their story. It was a slow story but enough detail to keep pushing through and they did get their happily ever after.
I did not know this was a series. I did not read the first one, so maybe that is why I could not get into this book. Ultimately, I could not finish it. Because of me being unable to fully read the book, I cannot in good faith rate it.
Longing is a slow burn book between two alpha's Pierre & Matthew, and it will have your attention from start to finish. It's also sweet, sexy, hot, some angst, great chemistry between these two, and seen from both points of views.
