Kodiak Point #6

Missing Lynx

Rate this book
His happiness isn’t complete until he finds the missing lynx.
Kodiak Point is a place where shapeshifters can hide and heal. No one needs that more than Rilee. She’s not a people person. Heck, most of the time, she’s running around on four feet. She’s had it with the world and isn’t interested in the big, brash man who thinks she should smile more. If he pushes the issue, her claws will come out.

Mateo’s been banished to small-town Alaska while a certain situation settles down. The sleepy town is a change of pace from his overbearing mother, especially after he meets his perfect mate. Better woo her quick, because once his mother arrives, she’s sure to sabotage his plans.

Before he can seduce his mate, danger arrives in the form of poachers looking to score a furry trophy. Rilee and Mateo will have to rely on each other to survive.

And when the snowflakes settle, maybe fall in love.

Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .

I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.

Ah, fated mates, is there anything better? Matteo is all in but Riley has some baggage that needs dealing with. Luckily for her, Matteo and Mama are just the ones to give her the home and love she never had before <3

Could not put it down

Read in one take. Loved all the characters. I love how the author Health with PTSD. People seem to think only military personnel have that but it's common. Mateo is funny. I love the banter he has with his mate and his momma. He is definitely a mom ma's boy and he owns it but he has boundaries. Rilei has endured the most scared bond of trust. Being sold by her mom a junkie. She endured being locked up in a cage just to produce babies but she refused. Finally escaping she always feared her captured would find her but things seemed to go differently in Kodiak Point. You go in one way come out differently. It's up to you which way.

Missing Lynx

Omg! I absolutely loved this book. Coming from an Italian family I could so relate to Mateo's mamma wanting to protect him, even though he is a tiger shifter. Rilee is a lynx shifter who has survived being kidnapped by a man named Shayne. She and Mateo meet and although they know they are fated mates, she does not like to be bothered or touched by anyone. Mateo must win his way into her life in spite of his meddling, overbearing mamma and also protect her from another attempt by Shayne to kidnap her in order to breed her. Awesome!

Loved this short trip back to Kodiak Point.
Not keen on the shifter poachers but as I have just read another book series with the same plot line, so I am a bit over it all.
Really wanted to stay longer in Kodiak Point with our friends there but it was such a pleasure to have Riley be taken in and loved so well.
Mateo has no shame at being a mumma’s boy, so funny.
The twist with Mamma was so good.
I just wanted that slime Shayne to get some of his own punishment back. He got off too lightly.

This is a really fun read with steamy romance, nonstop action and hilarious banter all rolled into one. The characters are marvelous. Rilee is a lynx shifter who has PTSD from her time in a cage. Mateo works for the shifter council and is sent to Kodiak Point where he meets Rilee and knows immediately she is his mate. After talking with the Alpha, Mateo knows he must go slow with Rilee because of her past. Rilee is stonger than she thinks and she begins to trust Mateo. They have one dangerous hurdle they must overcome before they can begin their life together.

Finding what you are not looking for

Mateo was sent to Kodiak Point, because of being caught going into an alley as a tiger and coming out human. Thought not the only reason. He doesn’t like the idea of being here until he catches sight of Rilee. She wants nothing to do with people. Not after what she has been through. Can Mateo show her that he can care and protect her? Will she open herself to the possibilities? Come on in and find out.

I was so confused, the story jumped all over the place. Apparently I should have read Bitten Point and Dragon Point series after reading Grizzly Love. Lots of mention of events I didn't remember reading about. Wouldn't have helped with the leaps and jumps in the storyline though even I had read them.

Good story but it felt a little rushed.

I loved all the characters and the story was sweet, I like how it tied in with what happens in the Dragon Point series.

I would have liked a little bit more action as in the previous books of the series, but overall I did enjoy this installment in the series.

Beautiful Story!!

I absolutely loved this book. I loved the characters and storyline so much. Rilee and Mateo were so right for each other. Mamma was such a sweetheart even though she was a busy body at times. Mateo loved Rilee so much as did Mamma. She finally had a daughter. Off to finish the series with Iron Eagle. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊

This was the first of Eve's Kodiak Point series I've read. There is plenty of comedic banter and it definitely hit me in the feels many times. Especially with Mateo’s Mom meeting Rylee 😭 🙌. Such a good book! Now I need to go back and read the others!

Always Excellent

As with the previous books in the series, there is a HEA. With strong personalities, sexy shifters, frissons of danger, there is humor and sarcasm, as well as sexy interludes between loving couples. Always a treat when I get my hands on an Eve Langlais story!

Love the badly scarred heroine and hero who refuses to give up. But the ending was so unexpected and the best. Won’t give it away. You have to buy and read for yourself but so worth it. Eve really hit this one out of the ballpark!

Just as good as I remembered

Re reading Kodiak point and love Rilee and Matteo’s story. Adventure, threats and love, the perfect mix. Can’t wait for the next instalment. But sad I am nearly finished! Will revisit soon!

Loved the story line, loved the characters. Some angst, some drama, lots of action. Can be read as a stand alone, but best read in order.

Humor, snark, strong women, AND a shifter romance. Sigh. A little short, but just what I needed on a stressful day.

Good book

Good story of second chances. Rilee deserved a chance at happiness, with her over protective mate and mother in law.
