In the book the portrayal of cannibalism is not visceral and gruesome but it's going to leave you with a spine chilling sensation that will linger for days - if you're the type to get scared easily, this book is not for you.
We follow a family of farmer in the middle of of a village in Italy, 1991. The Father of the family owns a farm where they mostly cultivate vegetables but he has a pigs barn far from the main farm, far from the house. Nobody's allowed to go to the pigs barn other than him.
The family is struck by tragedy multiple times in the arc of 2 years - half of the family dies in mysterious ways. Left as the only one who can work on the farm, Leo will discover something so revolting, so horrid, so terrifying... he wished he had never secretly sneaked to the pigs barn to find out what was in there.
The ending of this short book will leave you with your jaw open, wishing the book never ended. Which is why I always tell my readers to free their schedule before reading one of my once you start reading you can't stop. They are THAT good.
I know... I know... I sound very confident about my book and maybe you're right, I'm biased 'cause I wrote it. But I challenge you to read it and not get hooked by the fantastically thrilling story.
