This is an informational book for first or second graders. It is very short with many big pictures and big words, it is informational about the different types of patterns we see amongst animals: spots, stripes, spirals, symmetry and could be beneficial for any students that feel passionate about animals. I like this book because it could initiate creativity, noticing these patterns will help students when beginning to make stories of their own, they can use these descriptive words they learned from the text. I recommend this for a short individual story time reading or as a class to use as prior knowledge to a lesson.
