Six years ago, Kitty Valentine took the book world by storm when her sweet debut romance hit number one on the New York Times Best Sellers list, which was followed by a string of successful releases. Her latest novel, however, totally bombs, causing her editor to suggest she write much sexier books. To Kitty, writing smut is the literary equivalent of stripping. But with no advance coming in and her royalties dipping to an all-time low, Kitty has no choice. Armed with a hot-guy spinning prize wheel, made by her best friend, listing all the different types of men she will date and then write about, Kitty will be spinning—not stripping—her way back onto the best-sellers list.

I’ve enjoyed reading all of Kitty Valentine’s adventures thus far, but Kitty Valentine Dates a Fireman is by far my favorite of the series! For a shorter read, this one packed a punch.
This time Kitty spins the wheel and it lands on… a fireman. Kitty’s grandmother is involved in an auction to support animal shelters and who is being auctioned off? Firefighters. Her grandmother generously offered to pick one to bid on for Kitty and pay for it. A date with a fireman. What a better way to start research for her book.
He’s too tempting. Too tall, too strong, too gorgeous, too hot. Too everything.
Her fireman ends up being a guy named Bryce Kitty knew when she was a kid. Bryce is the last guy she would want to date due to their past, but he’s proven to be a changed man. I liked Bryce a lot and I loved watching Kitty stand up for herself.
I enjoy reading about Kitty and all her adventures so much. I’m can’t wait to see where the rest of her journey takes her and who the guy will be that finally wins her heart (I’m still pulling for Matt, but who knows). These books are so much fun and this one had a great amount of feels too.
If you’re in the mood for an addicting series that will keep you hooked, pick up Kitty Valentine!
In this next instalment in the Kitty Valentine series the arrow lands on ‘Fireman’ and Kitty’s grandmother has the perfect way for her to meet one. A charity auction where you can bid on a date with a gorgeous, single fireman.
Kitty and her grandmother don’t always see eye to eye and when Kitty discovers her date has already been pre-selected for her she decides to run with it. Until she sees him in the flesh. Sure, he is absolutely gorgeous, has the cutest dimples and eyes she could drown in - BUT, she already knows this guy and he is the last person she would ever go on a date with.
Sensing an opportunity to give this guy a piece of her mind, it’s something she has wanted to do for years, she relents and agrees on one date. Which turns into 2, then 3, then 4… Kitty realises that she actually enjoys Bryce’s company, the fact that he is so self aware of his past flaws and really quite thoughtful just adds to his appeal.
Dating a fireman does have its drawbacks though and Kitty doesn’t know if they are ones she could live with if things get really serious between them. One thing she does know is that wherever she is around Bryce, things get smoking hot! This was a fun frenemies story that left me wanting more… I loved Bryce the Fireman :)
"How neat things are in my books-in romance books on the whole. We guarantee a happy ending. That's one of the tenets of romance. There has to be a happy ending. Real life? That's a whole other beast."
I adore Kitty Valentine! She's a drama queen 👸🏼and a good person and sweet and loving. And continuing to write on-trend romance for her next best seller. Okay, inspiration. Kitty needs to pen the hero of her current book... Speaking of which, Hayley has the spinner all ready and waiting. SQUEAL! The subsequent trope reveals....drum roll...A firefighter! 👨🏻🚒 There's something painfully masculine and rugged and generally hot 🔥 about a firefighter. And guess who just so happens to know where to find an entire roomful of likely firefighters to choose from? Kitty's salty and sassy grandmother. Where? At a bachelor charity auction, of course.
Wait. Who is that I see? Matt Ryder! Is that you? Well, you clean up 😍 nicely (huge understatement). I love that we got to see more of him in this story. He's turning on the charm. He's a catch! Perfect on paper. Can we get a Kitty Valentine Dates an Investment Manager? *wink* 😉 Back to the auction. With a hefty dose of surprise! Bachelor Bryce Nichols, the bane of Kitty's humiliating childhood, is chosen for Kitty by her grandmother (one of my fave characters- energetic and sharp-witted) who has everything under control. Sort of. Not really. This isn't good. Is it possible for a person to turn things around? Is there more to Bryce than what Kitty remembers? Kitty isn't extremely picky but she's definitely the queen of over-thinkers. And she needs to learn all things fire fighting in order to base her popular character on. MUST read to find out what happens with ultimate risk taker Bryce and considerate Kitty. The KV series is ideal for rom-com lovers! 👏🏼💕
BIG thanks to Jillian Dodd for giving me the opportunity to dive into an advanced reader copy. Much love and happy release day!
my favorite of the men so far i LOVED this one! i almost cried at a couple of scenes too this series is getting to me. i need all the rest of the books asap
I am really enjoying this series. It keeps getting better the more time we have with all of the characters. Kitty spins the wheel and she gets a fireman in this book. She is with her grandmother when she spins and she just so happens to have organized a bachelor auction of fireman to support the animal clinic. I have to say that of all these stories that I have read so far, this one with Bryce seemed to have a much more emotional punch to it. It dealt with some more serious issues. I find that I am developing attachments to some of these guys but I am so curious to see what happens next.
First read: 12/2/20 Oh my gosh!!!!! This one is most definitely my favorite so far!!!! Bryce was so freaking perfect😭😭😭 I fell in love with him so fast and if I weren’t cheering for Kitty and Matt to end up together, you bet your ass I’d be pulling for Bryce to win because I LOVE HIM.
Second read: 1/23/21-1/24/21 I feel like I somehow managed to love this one even more this second time around. Bryce is a dreammmmm. Oh my god such a dream. I love him so damn much it’s not even funny. I volunteer as tribute to be his girlfriend because I’m in love with him. I still carry the same opinion that if I wasn’t cheering for Kitty and Matt, I’d be team Bryce alllll the wayyyyyy. No doubt about it.
The family aspects in this are so cute ahhh my heart. I love Kitty relationship with her grandmother so much, i’ve been looking for a book that features a strong grandma/granddaughter relationship and this series is IT!!! Also love Matt to pieces and the christmas gift he gave to Kitty... ADORABLE. Bryce was also a delight in this one, much better then the rockstar in the the last book 🤮
Okay soo, *new drinking game, take a shot every time I start a post with "okay, so" lol.* @jilliandodd surprised us a few months ago with her new Kitty Valentine series and y'all, it's freaking amazing. I'm not usually the biggest fan of RomComs but Jillian does it so well. I'm actually obsessed with Kitty and I love seeing her adventures and growth through each book. While I'm reading each book, I'm usually messaging @bad.ash.books saying "Omg, this book is even better than the last one!" And I'm not kidding! I think I laugh more during each book than I did in the previous one! Jillian does such a good job making you want things to work out with Kitty and whichever man she's dating at the time. Lol. For those of you who haven't read the story or don't know the premise, then here ya go! Long story short, Kitty is a romance author whose world gets flipped upside down when her editor tells her that she needs to start writing steamier books. Kitty is completely taken aback by this and has no idea what she's going to do. Enter Kitty's best friend Hayley who comes up with the idea to make a spinner with all different tropes of me (i.e.: billionaire, fireman, rockstar, doctor, etc). From there I guess you can figure out the rest. Lol. With all that being said, I definitely give this book a 5/5 and absolutely insist the you read this! Whats even better is, Kitty Valentine Dates a Billionaire is free on amazon right now! So what are you waiting for?? Go download it and fall in love with Kitty, Hayley, and her harem of men! lol.
Kitty dates a fireman...oh heck yes! Such an entertaining story with a little angst, some humor and a couple of light twists. Honestly I fell in love with Bryce...I’m not going to lie. Kitty always seems to find worthy romantic heroes (well, mostly) and i would like to keep a few around. Or just move Matt in for some hate sex...I think some hands on lessons might be a necessity. Definitely found this installment enjoyable, funny, swoonworthy and bittersweet. Kept me pulled in from page one until the end.
I love this series, and for quick reads, Jillian Dodd really gets the reader invested. If you have been following my reviews on this series, you will know that Kitty is a romance author, who up until this series always produced "clean" books. Now that reader's tastes have changed and they require more steam, our sweet and innocent little Kitty needs inspiration, and this time the wheel lands on a fireman.
I loved that these two knew each other as kids and that brought a whole new side to this book. I must admit, I am still team Matt. There is something about their relationship as friends, that really makes me believe they would be perfect as lovers. But the trials and tribulations of Kitty as she potentially finds her own HEA will keep me reading.
In this installment of the Kitty Valentine series, Kitty's grandmother gets involved in the hijinks and takes Kitty to a charity auction where she assists Kitty on bidding on a date with a fireman! Do things heat up? Well, yes, since the fireman her grandmother has selected is her childhood nemesis! Plot twist, he's a truly stand up human being who has changed completely and devotes his life to being better. That's the kicker, Kitty gets burned when she realizes as much as she likes him, she just isn't prepared to wonder and worry each time he leaves the house making it an amicable split. I really like this fresh series but particularly this book as I feel like we got to see more into Kitty as well as her sweet relationship with her socialite grandmother who has a bit of a fun side. Kitty's neighbor, Matt, too made an appearance albeit too brief for me. I am so into him for Kitty and am DYING for her to begin to see it too!! Next book? (not above begging over here!)
Favorite Kitty Valentine book so far!! Jillian once again takes us on an adventure with Kitty and her new trope as she tries to keep her writing career afloat.
Jillian does a great job at getting us to fall for all the guys that Kitty is forced to date. You almost want her to stay with them, but at the same time you want to see where the spinning wheel will take her next!
Then there’s Matt.. the best neighbor that there ever was. I keep falling more and more for Matt as the series goes on. My fingers are crossing for something for him in the future!!
We also get a better look at Kitty’s grandma during this book, whom I LOVE. The woman is witty && feisty and everything Kitty needs to survive in this world. I cannot wait to see more of her!!
This series is a must read for obvious reason. Just do yourself a favor && grab it now!!
The spin wheel adventure continues. This time with the help of her grandmother and a Charity auction, Kitty will date a fireman. This was by far the best one yet. Like I said before, with each new guy Kitty gets some perspective and seems to be growing as a person. In this book Kitty goes through some nerve-wracking moments that will change her and show her that she must cherish what she has. I also found it eye opening as well, because we never really think about firefighters and the risks they take to put out fires and how their loved one must feel. I loved Bryce with all my heart about cried when they had their sit down moment. Wanted to stomp my feet and throw a big tantrum and scream “why?”, but sadly it just wasn’t meant to be. I want to say I can’t wait for the next book in the series, but I don’t know if my poor heart can take another man to love and then have Jillian take him away from me and say next. But I’m glutton for punishment so bring it on, Kitty will date till she finds our “Mr. Perfect”.

Spin the wheel. Date the guy. Kitty Valentine is back with book 4 in the series. This time, the wheel lands on fireman. Which seems to be a perfect coincidence considering Kitty’s grandmother happens to know exactly where to find one, a charity event auctioning off fireman! Insert Bryce, a not-so-great blast from Kitty’s past.
This was absolutely my new favorite book from the Kitty Valentine series. I love getting to know more about grandmother, Hayley (Kitty’s best friend), & Matt (Kitty’s sexy neighbor) in each book! To say I’m looking forward to book 5, Kitty Valentine Dates an Actor, would be an understatement.
All books from the Kitty Valentine series are available in KU! If you’re a fan of rom com then you HAVE TO read this series! Rom coms typically aren’t my go to but Jillian is knocking it out of the park!
I loved this one, possibly my favorite as of now. I still love how mature Kitty is and how she deals with everything so well. I also really connect with her views on shopping and most human interaction, that’s just because I like books more :) I really liked the guy and if it weren’t for Matt, I would have been rooting for them!
I adored the Matt interactions in this book and I just need Matt to have more page time. I love all the characters. I love how supportive and sarcastic Hayley is and I love love Kitty’s grandmother, she’s such a brilliant character. I’m super excited to read the rest of them!
In this Kitty adventure, Kitty is told to go to an auction for charity by her grandmother. Only it’s not a raffle for items or vacations, but firemen.
Kitty does the auction in hopes to write a steamy novel on a fireman, but her grandmother chose the wrong firman for kitty to bid on.
HER BULLY!!!!!!!!!
The only way she can go through with the date is knowing she can finally tell him off... but how can you tell off a guy who’s actually being nice and apologetic?
Kitty finds herself hating the memories of this man, but loving his new personality and passion to help others.
But will her head or heart win? Will her bully be all the good he seems to be after so many years?
Read to find out!
I loved this fast paced book as you delve further into kitty’s life.
The romance was sweet, and I finally grew to like her grandmother believe it or not!
I am in love with this series! It’s funny and shows the hilarious bumps that Kitty has while trying to find her new troupe for her book.
She has dated a billionaire, a doctor, a rockstar and now... in this book that sexy fireman!
This book has so many emotions that I felt had more than the other books. The fireman, Bryce, is a guy that she knew from childhood and someone her grandmother picked out for her at a bachelor auction.
I love this book. I love this series! It’s seriously so much fun and is a quick read for me as when I started I never wanted to stop reading it until I knew what was going to happen!
While I usually prefer more angst and steam in my romance, Jillian writes a good dang good chick-lit series with this one. It is fun, witty, and just an overall good time.
First and foremost, I love Grandmother. And she really shines through in this one. Not only has she pre-set this date, but she is not taking no for an answer.
Kitty is her usual all-over-the-place and fun self. I feel like her confidence in this endeavor is growing and she is having more fun each go-round. Therefore, I can't wait to see her continue on in the series.
Bryce is the swoon-worthy firefighter that has reappeared in Kitty's life; and she is more than willing to set things straight this time around. While he has a lot to offer, I definitely feel the relationship needed a little more security to make it the steam level of some of the others.
Matt and Kitty just keep on steamy up the scene, and my hopes are they wind up together.
Thank you Jillian for the chance to read this early. I can't wait for read more- especially the Hockey Player and Cowboy :)
Going on this journey with Kitty has been so amazing. I feel like we saw so much growth fro Kitty in this book. It’s easy to hold onto hate but Kitty showed that it’s just as easy to let go of that hate and see how much someone can change. I enjoyed seeing more of her Grandmother in this book and maybe we will get to see more of her love story as well. Bryce was a great guy for Kitty and I hope they can remain friends and she can continue to show him that he has people who do care about him. This story just keeps getting better and better and I can’t wait for more.

I am so in love with this series. It is so very different than what I usually read and so fun. We are getting to experience all the tropes we know and love with Kitty as she makes her way through the wheel. Next up is the fireman, who turns out to be someone for her past she wouldn’t mind getting to talk to...... only to ream him for how he treated her. Turns out Bryce is only to happy to apologize and show Kitty how he has changed.
I really do love the neighbor Matt though and am really holding onto the hope that Kitty gets a happily ever after with him. Guess we will just have to keep reading, shouldn’t be that much of a hardship.
**I was generously provided with an advanced readers copy of this book in exchange for my fair and honest review**
I think this is the best Kitty Valentine book yet!! I am becoming so attached to these characters and my gosh I hope she finds her way back to Bryce because he was so dreamy. Kitty is growing so much and is really learning about the important things in life. I think we are finally really getting a glimpse into Kitty's life and childhood. She has grown so much since the first book and her books seem to keep getting better and better as she dates these amazing men. Bryce is my absolute favorite so far. He was so complex and brought so much to the plate for Kitty. I can only hope that he is able to figure himself out in time to find Kitty again. I will say this in every review, I am dying for Kitty's HEA. But I am enjoying every step of the way because I get to vicariously live through her!
Jillian Dodd has yet to fail me. This is, yet again, an amazing, quick-witted story. Kitty has spun the wheel again, and this time she lands on a fireman. Much to my surprise, after her grandmother's interference, her fireman happens to be a bully from her childhood. As she gets to know Bryce as an adult, she finds that people can change, and though I loved reading about the hot fireman in this story, I'm excited to see what is next. I missed reading about her neighbor, Matt, this book, so I'm curious to see what direction their relationship goes in future books. This series definitely keeps me coming back for more, and I certainly will be back for the next one!
As we dive back into the world of Kitty Valentine, we get another trope she has to write about.
This is absolutely run splitting laughter on how she meets the newest addition in her trope writing experience. First the antics with her grandmother, then neighbor Matt, and finally your not too hot to handle firefighter is her former bully.
We see how Kitty grows as a writer and how her relationships are intertwined.
Bryce the hunky firefighter has such a sweet side....Does Kitty get to keep him or is he just too hot?
I so badly wanted to not like Bryce because of how he treated Kitty as a kid but just like always, Jillian has to go and make fall in love. I love his growth and how he truly wants to change and be better by the end and I hope we see more of him and Kitty as friends in the future!!! I missed Haley in this book but still LOVE Matt, especially at the auction. Love Grandmother too and I’m so happy for her and Peter!!

If you’re looking for a short, fun, sweet and steamy series this is it! I have absolutely loved all of the books so far and Kitty Valentine Dates a Fireman might be my favorite one so far. I love Kitty’s relationship with her spunky grandmother. I was a little worried about the book at first because of Kitty and Bryce’s past, but I really enjoyed the book and them! I really want Kitty to find her happiness and I sooo want it to be with Matt. Each book shows their cute/flirtatious relationship. All the books have been fantastic but I am hoping that Matt is her endgame.

This book was a great short read that had all of the best of Kitty Valentine's personality and Jillian Dodd's amazing writing. Kitty had the right amount of spunk and drama that any girl should have when dating a hot fireman. The Kitty Valentine series is getting better and better with each book and definitely looking forward to more and more of them.
Kitty did it again. She's spinning the wheel, not knowing who she will land on. This time...it's a firefighter! Hot and sexy, right? Her grandmother is involved with an auction that is auctioning off firefighters for charity. She picked out the perfect one for Kitty...until he wasn't perfect once upon a time. Bryce, the firefighter, was everything a girl can dream of, expect Kitty. Until he redeemed himself. I LOVE how Kitty stood up for herself and didn't back down.
This book took us on a different path and it was well worth it!
I absolutely loved this book. I am falling more and more in love with Kitty. I used to not like her Grandmother but now I think she is AWESOME 😎 I liked Bryce the firefighter in this book but I am honestly still rooting for Matt. Even if Bryce is a sexy Santa 🎅🏼 Can’t wait till the next book. Can’t wait to find out who she “dates” next. Fingers crossed she ends up with Matt and Phoebe 🤞🏻
Someone call the fire department because my panties are on fire!!! Kitty is at it again, this time with a firefighter! Someone from her past, but shows her what true romance is. My heart is in a puddle. Do sparks fly? Oh yes. But every fire dies out at some point right? Definitely a great read. Probably my favorite of the series thus far.
