"Raphael is dead to me already," Azrael told me through gritted teeth. "He was the dead the moment he lifted a finger against you."
The explosive conclusion to The Last Vocari series is here. Follow Rose as she takes her place among the monsters she once hunted to fight her greatest battle yet.
Elena lives in Canada with her husband, daughter, and their Siberian cat overlords. She writes dark, why-choose romances full of feisty heroines, unforgettable heroes, and their kindle-melting chemistry.
When she comes out of her writing cave, she can be found binge-watching true-crime shows, obsessively rearranging her bookshelves, or chasing the sun around the globe.
This is the final book in The Last Vocari series and boy did Elena BLOW it out of the park, my favorite of the whole series! Don’t get me wrong the entire series is amazing but DESTROY ME was by far the best. I literally read this book in about 4 hours. I could not put this down and the chemistry and steam in this book is to die for, every girl’s dream. I felt the pain, anger, possessiveness, passion and jealousy.
“You take care of her,” he finally said, directing the words at Azreal before he tugged me in to kiss me quick on the lips. “If she isn’t fully satisfied by the time we return, I’ll make you watch while I finish your job.”
Definitely worth a one-click if you want action and passion!!
This is one hell of an ending to this highly addictive series. Action packed and very very hot and steamy, this is exciting and explosive and has some amazing characters including our kick ass, sassy female mc Rose. Along with her men she takes her place among the monsters she once hunted to fight her greatest battle yet and the conclusion is just epic!
Stories about being the last of a race can play so much more with the topic. Especially when it is the theme of the series. It seemed the story forgot the importance of her being the only one. In the end the race was, for all the characters knew...extinct. Then they just shrug it off, like ‘oh well, what can ya do’? It leaves the ending flat and feels a bit unresolved for being the last book.
I cannot say enough how good this book was! After the cliffhanger from book three, we jump right back in to the story. I love all of the guys and I was beyond happy to see the guys finally accept Az!! I adore how strong Rose is, and how she sticks to what is right. This book literally sucked me into its grasp and I found it extremely hard to put it down! (only reason I did was because I had to do that annoying work thing.. lol). The story development was great, and we met some great characters along the way. I am SO HAPPY with the ending! I HIGHLY recommend reading this series if you haven't yet!!
2.75🌟 Loved the first 3 books - but struggled with this one. After waiting months for the final book - it was a sad let down. So frigging disappointed! The series started strong with great everything in books 1-3 (characters, tension, plot, steamy sex) & ended in book 4 with me hating the FMC (absolutely no growth) weak arse plot & the connection between her harem & Az towards the end felt forced & fell flat, no sizzle. In fact everything in this book felt rushed & forced to tie up all loose ends with bullshit explanations ie: Rose’s over the top aggression & psychoticness explained away as her being a badass & the reasons given ridiculously convenient OH PULEEZE!! She just came across a bitter, vengeful with no personal growth. The last night before going to ‘war’ she spends with Az - WTF???? What happened to her undying love of “her guys” - another crock of crap! But the worst was how easily she accepted becoming a vampire, after her constant drivel across all 3 books telling us how she’d never do that - honestly WTF??? The final harem sex encounter...no, nope, just no!!! Not believable after being told Az doesn’t share then is all in - bullshit! Unfortunately a very weak ending to an otherwise great start.
(The many typo errors were also frustrating! 🤦🏻♀️)

OMFG this book is so dark and so f'ing HOT!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Rose strength is amazing, not just physical, but her inner strength, wow!!!... It's what kept them all together and what made them succed!!! #yougogirl #girlpower 💪👊👸💅 All they went through, not just to defeat their enemy, but the struggles in their relationship, make this book and unputdownable installment, full of action, romance, super steamy scenes and love, so much love!!! 🥰 TBH I need more of them, I'm not ready to let them go 😭... But I'm so happy with this ending, Rose with ALL of her mates and finally in the place she was always meant to be #vampirequeen 🧛♀️😍❤️
What an ending! This went definitely went full circle and from one black Rose we went up with 5 - a queen and her mates. After the tragedy of the last book I couldn't wait for Raphael to get his just desserts but like everything else to do with Rose it was not even remotely easy. While in many ways this is the end of Rose's and her guys story in my mind this is only the beginning of what is to come. They all grew and became a team and Rose certainly had some hard knocks but her resilience and stubbornness were always meant to win the day. All of that to say - I was happy with the end.
I really enjoyed the final book in the Last Vocari series.
The only reason I’ve given it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I felt that the emotional side of things was a little rushed, I would have loved to have seen some of the development between Rose and Az.
I also felt there were quite a few unanswered questions/theories with regards to her being the last Vocari and the witch side of things? I mean maybe there could be a spin off? I don’t know I just felt like there could have been ... more?
Anyway the steam was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and I enjoyed the storyline 🙂
I needed this book in my life. Destroy Me jumps straight back into the story after book 3 ended and is easy to get back into. It was deliciously steamy all the way through the book. The action scenes were on point. Destroy Me gave me everything I wanted out of a finale for this series!
🌹 Bad ass FMC 🌹 Fated Mates 🌹 Action packed 🌹 MMM MM MFM MF Action 🌹 Dick count 4
What an explosive way to end a series it was fangtastic!!! I love Rose and her men so much she such a badass and gives of epic Buffy vibes. If you love hot steamy sex with men who would go to the ends if the earth to save their girl and a girl who would tare their heads off for not letting her save herself then this series is perfect for you.
It was decent. Didnt feel a great deal of wow or like fulfilment with the ending. Certainly needed an epilogue to give us a snapshot of the future. I saw the whole vamp queen coming - not hard too - but idk it wouldve been better if she had kept all the vocari stuff like immunity to the sun and they actually settled the whole can she concieve or not deal. Seems sucky that vocaris died out for nothing. And she didnt just because some special kind of vamp and then be able to drag them out of the stone ages and make them a proper queendom or society behind some barriers or whatever so they were as removed from human society as they could be. I mean he witches defs wouldve loved that so not like itd be hard to say snd the whole manifesto shit like wtf? Like is this opening to another series spin off or world or what like idk i feel a bit lackluster with the end of this series like ah it really was that simple it wasnt like some awesome world level event even if it was said to be a few times like idk it felt really contribed and like the witches and shit could easily stepped in and nixed the issue and i really dont see who wouldve falted them for stopping world domination and outing to the humans like ugh idk lots of like twisted reasoning and illogical shit all for her to just end up killing vamps like her sunlight tattoo shouldve been called solaris serum and they develop it into an injection in their blood bags or like talismans or someshit for the citizens loyal to not being literal monsters and to her queendom or whatever instead of whatever the hell conclusion that was like yeah thank fuck she and azrael finally finally fucking got together like if the series ended without them doing so and just left it a 4some i wouldve died. And hated the series tbh but it also seemed a tad like convenient to do it like that like heres a rich powerful dude who happens to be the good to the evil twin whos your enemy and oh he can protect you and get an army and supply all your needs at a deop of a hat and all the rest like if he were an ugly poor kidnapper he wouldnt be getting the same treatment like idk a bit silver platter like i get why and its a fantasy so yay for no poverty but the way it was done and like even though they had chemistry i felt like they didnt actually have enough conversations or like time together that wasnt her being kidnapped or him mentally training her to make their relationship feel true and the whole dtill hasnt told the other 3 she cheated on them basically with him earlier on and ugh idk to me it felt a bit too action movie and like drama/hard a lot of nothing happening but then like when stuff was happening it was almost always like action! Go like no buildup or like idk epic moments really not tension in this book for the most part. Idk sorry but it just fell kinda flat. It shouldve been an epic showdown and then the aftermath but i think it was something like 80% into the book before they even confronted la dickhead or his evil minions like... dude you couldve had that done halfway and then had the whole fixing up vamp society and like more relationship stuff and like bloodmate stuff and her ana valentina and the other female vamp like idk having a girls vamp time while their men idk fucking trained or played video games or something it was just missing heart is all... like a little like interaction with the good vamps and like projects to build communities or like getting to know individuals or like testing other skills or even a vamp wedding like come on dude. The third book was all angst there was heaps of action and drama in the first 2 the 4th book was for tying up loose ends and making it all worth it with happiness and butterflies and like good vamps walking in the light figuratively and literally i mean shit even if it was her making a blood barrier to keep a specific area sunnlocked for vamps so they could exist in the sun without dying calling the city solaris or someshit like and this random arse vamp continent we know nothing about was just offhandedly mentioned like it means nothing and isnt insanely cool and important and like wt where were they like whats the world building going on like why wouldnt they all go live there or christ literally anything world building wouldve been nice. I feel like we never really got a chance to settle in or breathe. It was just one thing after the next i mean new transport new residence new people new places new concept each time never anything home base to come back to like is she keeping her childhood house like are they staying in itsly or canada or what like whats the plan homies they just gonna remove themselves from the world and bang for a century and hope the world does okay otherwise like wtf is it we only heard of like fae or witches or whatever when it was convienient to the plot and never like just day to day or like what their societies like...i just idk the overall plot was decent the characters were way better fleshed out than anything else but idk i also kinda feel like rose at least in the last book seemed really like shell like of a character lots of shallow shit idk it felt like her personality was like angry and tough girl and no like chill time or like fun or idk like smile happiness or whatever unless they were boning which is fine and all im not a fan of m/m like at all but if its a small part of rh than i can tolerate it but yeah idk i just feel like kinda meh? Like oh that was it? Kinda like yellowstone or the expanse finales recently like i didnt even realise they were season finales there was no energy or tension or wow to say so. So i only find that out after wondering ehy the newest ep isnt up yet. Yeah overall not a fan of the series. I enjoyed the general read and dont regret it granted the dark triggery shit i couldve done without and i swear to god amala the cunt said luz was dead and then in the finale showdown shes like alive for 2 seconds like and for no reason and we didnt even get to see rose like deal with the other chicks and like just talk to them even and tell them about lux or jenny? Idk the chick he killed infront of them like yeah thats what this series really lacks rose is a serial killer with serious darkness and frankly not much of a life/personality outside of violence and sex eat sleep repeat. And like id rather find out shit that matters about her like more childhood stories or even them actively doing date hang out family stuff together rather than brief flickers of memories or bte i have lazer hair removal done like idc tell me more about what you do for fun what your hobbies are like whats her job like she ssys she doesnt want to dip into her meager inheritance or sell her house she has a shitty car before it gets totalled but shes buying like 2k? Samurai swords and custom leather clothing and paying for the house and like eating and stuff like other than robbing the wallets of the dead vamps like idk i guess her 'victory' didnt feel like one because of not only witches involvement but the whole lack of like progress afterward making it feel like ahh yes all is right in the world rainbow after the storm deal. Anyway im fucked off i wasted this long rambling. Byeeee.
Still too much background stuff left unknown and not even hinted at. The Witch Council, As Last Vocari why did she lose ability to remain in sunlight, they just assumed never tried? What about her plans to police/lead/rule vampire society, the reason why her life was saved yet nothing said towards that.
There was lots to like about this ending but also parts that fell flat. The romantic conclusion to the long-awaited slow-burn relationship with Az was a bit of a letdown (and can I just say, I've never been a fan of ancient characters having young-sounding nicknames. It always feels weird). They had so much passion and sexual tension between them I was sure that when they got together it would be explosive, but it was the complete opposite of that. A very slow, gentle love scene with tender kisses. I couldn't get into it but maybe that's me.
The 'revelation' from Frost was a surprise - and honestly, felt a bit too convenient. I thought his aversion to Azriel becoming her fourth was because he was the most dominant and obvious leader of Rose's 'guys', and knew that with Azriel included, he'd be pushed out from the top dog spot. I think Lawson could have handled the male relationship dynamics a bit better in earlier books to account for this. Azriel is such a big character he could have easily been her sole love interest for this series, so I definitely understood how Frost could feel redundant.
The conclusion of the fight with Rafe went as expected which I'm happy about - but there were still some MAJOR plot threads hanging loosely by the final chapter.
I'm also not keen on how Rose was changed. She was supposed to be the last Vocari, and there was so little information ever given about her species and where they came from or why she and her mother had been the last that Lawson could have written a whole extra book just to explain that backstory better. She basically got a demotion in power at the end - going from being a human with vampire powers and none of their weaknesses, the last of a powerful race, to being a regular vampire with the same limitations as the rest of them. Disappointing.
Despite what I've written above, I still enjoyed the series. It was so fast-paced and easy to read, I really could not put it down. I'll probably get the box set as well so I can re-read.
This is a brilliant end to a thrillride series of four books. When I started the first book, I had no idea it wasn't fully completed so got super grumpy about the wait... yet it was so so worth it!
We finally get all four puzzles pieces, and the love and heat between them is unreal. (Yay Azreal!)
Not usually a fan of MM, like it to be all about the kick ass heroine, yet somehow Elena Lawson interweaves it in without any threat to any of the harem's happiness, and it makes it hotter.
Parts of this book felt so harsh, brutal and like the HEA was not only far away but might as well be in a different solar system. I actually cried when she was taken, but cannot respect her more for finding her own escape.
Now the series is finished ... I'm actually missing Rose. Like... a lot. Not to mention her guys :)
Now that Rose is back with her guys, they are planning on taking Rafe and his army down for good. Ethan made a powerful discovery using Rose's blood, and now Rose, Ethan, Blake, Frost, and Azrael are hoping to use it to their advantage.
Rose and Az have been training daily on strengthening her compulsion skills and reading thoughts in others minds. Her goal is to do to Rafe what her mom was able to do, compel him and then hopefully kill him. With their army growing daily and each vampire pledging their loyalty for life, they might have a chance. Her relationship with each guy has become a blood bond and now Azrael is apart of their group. They will follow her guidance and make her their Queen when everything is done.
But what her guys don't know is that she plans on trading her life to keep the four of them alive.
I have loved this story so much, and it is my favourite series by Elena to date! Book four has all the sexual tension and heat you could dream of Seriously, this one is scalding hot! There is also some more m/m content, which I was super excited to see.
Rose struggles with Az vs the memories of Rafe, but she forces herself to move past that, leaving the lingering heat between them build in book 4.
I really enjoyed the story, but would have loved a few more chapters on the ruling structures set up after the war, and the relationship between rose and her mates.
I wasn't ready for it to end. Maybe Elena will give us some bonus chapters or a novella in the future if we are super lucky. 🤞🏼

What a turbulent read...this one will have you so captivated from the beginning to the end... Awesome , hot and so full of sweet revenge, he finally got what he so much deserved at the ending of the book, you go girl!! Epic ending and boy what an ending, hopefully she will be able to have some sort of happiness with her guys she deserves it. Hate to say goodbye to a fun and exciting series , cannot wait to see what happens next... This Book will not disappoint you... This Book was reviewed by a Book Loving Vixen
This book is an absolutely perfect ending to a seriously great series! I honestly am going to miss this world and these characters. I love love love that we finally got to see certain people come together. I love the strength of the female lead and how even though she doesnt need her men, she wants them. I love the relationships. I love the action of kicking butt and taking names to the steam in the bedroom. I love how the characters grow. It pulled me in and i was right there in the world. I can definitely see myself rereading this series several times.
This book is totally awesome!! We catch up with Rose as she is trying to heal after being held by Rafe. This takes some time but they also have to build an army to take him out. Az is on their side which brings him and Rose closer over time. This all leads to one explosive ending that wraps things up while still being full of surprises. A wonderful finale for Rose and her men. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Oh wow, this was a phenomenal conclusion to a highly enjoyable series! I think this was my favorite of the series. It was an action packed, steam filled emotional ride that I never wanted to end! That being said, I think it ended really well, I enjoyed how things played out , nothing felt rushed and everything flowed really well. Such a great series. If you enjoy RH, Vampires and Unique, powerful FMC then this is a series you must read!
I really enjoyed this finale to the series. It had everything I loved about the previous books - action and action 😉
The only thing a little disappointing was that it was incredibly predictable, and while I didn’t mind this (there wasn’t anything else I really wanted to happen), it felt like a bit of a let down to wait so long for a book that finished the story the exact way you had imagined.
Nevertheless it was a fun and fast paced read and I quite enjoyed it.
This book is well balanced with the perfect amount of heart thumping action, gripping emotion and steam. Rose's inner strength shines through even more in this book than in previous books and the dynamic with her guys grows too. I'm so happy with the way everything wrapped up. The only complaint I have is that I am going to miss reading these characters!
Destroy Me is the fourth and final book of the Last Vocari Series. Wow! Let me just say that Elena definitely went out with a bang on this book. I loved every minute of it. I couldn't put it down. This entire series had me from the very beginning. I have loved every minute with Rose and her men. I am so happy with this ending! I highly recommend this RH series. The entire series has been 5 stars.
This was an absolutely perfect ending for this series. All of the battles, training, pain, heartache and love lead to a very fitting end for Rose and her men. The battles were epic and the sex was off the charts. You even get to see a bit of a crossover from another series as well. I’m sad that the series is over but I loved the ride it took me on.
This is the fourth and final book in the Last Vocari series and it definitely lives up to the saying 'saving the best for last'. I love how this novel keeps up the same intensity as the other novels, continues to evolve the characters throughout and ties up all the loose ends you've been wondering about. If you loved the first three in the series you won't be disappointed with this book.
These must be read in Order. Each book picks up exactly where the last left off. The stories each complete an ark but don’t complete the entire story with small cliffhangers that entreat you to keep reading. It is sexy, it is fun, there is tons of action and they dynamics of the main characters will leave you wishing you were one of them.
Ok so parts of this finale seemed rushed but I’m ok with that. I’m also happy Az finally got in on the action and Rose got her mega sexy vamp sandwich. I kind of wish there would’ve been more emotional development between the guys but nevertheless it was awesome. The battle with Rafe was so so.
