Painful existence. Deafening Silence. Hunger for freedom. Annabelle is forced to face the cold, dark nights alone. Until a voice comes through the walls of her tiny cell, telling her to hold on a little longer. Is the voice real or just in her head? Is she losing her sanity? When he offered his help, will she accept it? Is it Stockholm Syndrome or is it love? Will her captor let her live to see her family again? Will the pain ever stop? Questions that can only be answered by fate.
This book needs to be a movie ! I was so drawn into this book that I read it in 3 days. The character developed is amazing you feel like your a part of the story. The different POV is great and it is not complicated to follow and does not get messy. It was genius the way you see the same timeline from different characters point of views. I could go on and on about this book it was just that amazing.
I loved the concept of this book but it was plagued with repetitive phrasing; crying, unused tears on eyelids , silent tears, a flood of tears. Small frame must have been mentioned at least fifty times. Fact checking would have been nice. No one could have survived on the amount of water that author describes her character consuming. No mention of using a bathroom. Also, as a nurse I can tell you that if someone comes to the ED reporting that she had been raped, she would have been given the morning after pill and a pregnancy test would have been part of the trauma panel. Multiple CT scans would have been ordered for head trauma and belly trauma. No fetus could have survived that much radiation. Find a good copy editor and do your research.
The writer made Annabelle a survivor! A survivor of life, pain and misguided hatred! Lucas was her Fate! They both are survivors! This book will draw you in and not let you put it down!. I had to force myself to put it down to go to bed and not puck it up until I was done for the day! It's kind of like a hard luck Love story! You may tear up at points, but you'll be glad you read it!
