She would do anything for her kingdom. He would do anything to protect her.
After the King of Talador’s mysterious death, Princess Lily must prepare to take the throne, even if she doesn’t feel ready yet. As her coronation draws near, an attack on her life sends her fleeing the castle with her devoted Captain of the Guard, Keane, the one man she trusts above all others.
When she arrives at her other palace, she is courted by seven handsome suitors, all hand-selected to potentially be her future King. With her kingdom in danger and her forbidden magic growing stronger, the last thing Lily wants to do is select a husband—especially when she’d rather be with the man who’s been by her side for years.
Now that Lily is going to be queen, Captain Keane understands she needs to marry a nobleman, even if the thought makes him want to run his blade through every one of her suitors. As long as he hides his true feelings for Lily, he can continue to protect her—even if no one can protect his heart. But when the attacks on Lily grow more dangerous and a threat from the past emerges, they must embrace her magic and their forbidden love if they’re going to save her throne.
Kiss Of Snow is a steamy fantasy romance, perfect for fans of Sarah J Maas, Miranda Honfleur, and Grace Draven.

Kiss of Snow isn’t much better than Beauty in Darkness. Potential for a fun, adventure in a fantasy twist of the Snow White fairy tale. Unfortunately, there is a great deal of cheesy Bachelorette dates with the seven dwarfs, I mean, her seven suitors. I liked the idea of the Captain of the Guard loving the young queen but the author just didn’t do enough with the idea. Not enough action or adventure. Lots of telling and not showing. I don’t think I’ll continue with this series.
Ok well, the second book didn't get much better. The same issues that plagued the first book were still very present here.
Lily, dealing with the recent loss of her father, must come to terms with being Queen, finding a suitable husband and also her fae magic. Keane, the head of her guard, would like nothing more than to be the one for Lily, but alas, his job puts him out of the running so he will just pine for her in silence. Again, you see where this is going.
So many plot points just settled within zero time. The big bad? No surprise at who is was and also the big showdown was literally 2 paragraphs...? So I don't know what the big deal was. We didn't even get to deal with the repercussions all of this would have on Princess Iris - you know a 12 year old being kidnapped and almost killed by her own mother. And don't even get me started on those so called love scenes. They were very weirdly placed at times where sex should really be the last thing on your mind - I mean you were just poisoned and someone is taking over your castle but by all means, have sex. It just made no sense.
There was little effort made to flesh these characters out. I literally know nothing about Keane except he's Lily's guard. That's his entire personality. As for Lily, she kept telling us how she felt but there was no internal struggles nothing at all of being in her head and feeling what she feels. It was like here's point A and now here's point B...and so on. I need more from characters and writers. If you want me to feel something or even care about what happens to these people, bring that in with your writing and details. This just sorely lacked.
I listened to the first book in this series last week and then immediately downloaded this book, It could be thought of as a retelling of Snow White but it's much better than the original in my humble opinion. The main character is Princess Lilly, she's the eldest daughter of the King of Talador, she's been groomed her whole life for the day she would be Queen so when her father dies a little too suddenly she is expected to step up to the role. But some of the nobles of the realm think she is both too young and too weak to rule alone. She's being pressured to make a political match, not a love one and seven suitors are found to vie for her hand in marriage. Each one is likened to one of the original dwarfs, not because of their size but because of their characteristics, one continually sneezes - one falls asleep at the drop of a hat, you get the picture?
Because of threats to her life, she is forced to relocate which is just what the ex-Queen of Talador wishes her to do. But she's not as weak as it's assumed especially when she starts to come to grips with the magic she is able to wield but has never used. She is not without allies the captain of her guard Keane and her suitors all come to her aid when it matters most.
Lily comes to realise her hidden strengths whilst on her journey of discovery in this magically fun, action-packed story, she also realises she's strong enough to stand up to the nobles and marry for love!
The narration of the book is excellent Stephanie Rose and Chris Chambers do an excellent job of bringing each of the characters to life.
My review is written after both reading and then listening to the audio version of this book
I thoroughly enjoyed this fairytale retelling. Lily is now the heir to the throne and the nobles want her to marry for political reasons. By her side is Keane, her captain of the guard and secret love. There are some threats to her life and for safety they decide to relocate to another palace. Unfortunately, this is what the evil queen wants! The story is about Lily finding the strength to do what is needed for her kingdom and herself. I loved how the seven dwarfs were incorporated into the story! So clever! I loved Iris, she is a fun one. Can't wait to see what she gets up to. Fun, steamy read with action, magic, and love. Clever retelling of Snow White! I was given the opportunity to read a copy of this book.
What can I say. Elizabeth Briggs does it again. I loved this second book. Well written and full of action. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to read other books by this author. I loved how she included characters from the previous book. Great job. I highly recommend this book.
👑👑ONE SMASHING DELIGHT👑👑 Outstanding! Elizabeth never ceases to impress me with her keen wit, stunning talent and unique insight, she totally nailed this baby from the start, bringing this unparalleled action packed, hard hitting, heart pounding, pulse racing, adrenaline pumping, block buster, blasting this jewel to life spectacularly. A roaring tempest of tangled exigency and deceptive events, noting the grueling trials and arduous tribulations, stumbling through the deadly twists and wicked turns, testing our characters in ways they could have never envisioned. Disadvantages are heightened and exploited, exposing the ruthless facts, deals and debacles, igniting a fierce determination with such fervor and vigor, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits add depth and diversity, transforming into charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions that feel as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Remarkable job Elizabeth, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.
For some reason the bit of spice surprised me. Some much of the first part of the book seemed very sweet so when the wall of forbidden (not so secret) romance finally crumbled I was pleasantly caught off guard. Other than feeling like each of the villain characters died far too quickly with little fight I really enjoyed this read.
Lily is the queen to be who has magic of her own but was groomed to be queen of a kingdom where magic is forbidden (still a bit odd considering how common magic seems) and she has trouble reconciling how she was brought up with her reality as someone who can use magic and knows it is wrong to make it forbidden. She need to get over not only that to reach her full power and defend her thrown from her missing stepmother who plans to take over (with a few poison apples) but she also needs to reconcile her feelings for her Captain of the Guard Keane (she has seven suitors that she is expected to pick from to create strong political alliances, but she wants him).
I think Keane's point of view chapters were my favorite.
Lily has been preparing to rule her entire life but when her father unexpectedly died, the time came sooner than she wanted. After a failed attack on her person, her Aunt encouraged her to meet with potential suitors to secure the throne. All were noblemen who could strengthen her country but none are the one man she has trusted her entire life. Captain Keene, the devoted Captain of her guard has watched over Lily for years and has been in love with her almost as long. However, when a threat from the past surfaces it will take them working together to save Lily's crown.
This is a clever rendition of Snow White complete with its own Grumpy and Sleepy. There's plenty of intrigue, action, romance, and of course, a version of Prince Charming. There are also loving sisters including a little spitfire, an unusual fairy godmother, and an evil witch. But the best part is the princess who discovers she had the magic inside herself all along.
Good story, at least at first, but the last few chapters were, quite simply, unbelievable. The tale surrounds a would be young queen and her bodyguard night and their attraction to each other. She is about to be crowned queen after her father‘s death, but a sudden assassination attempt is followed by a second attempt and as the story gets more tangled and a crisis is occurring, somehow the two lovers suddenly find themselves giving in to their forbidden love while chaos explodes around them. It just wasn’t realistic. Up to that point it was a good story. The only other thing I would say, surrounds the unfortunate crass language when it comes to the description of the hero’s “twitchy cock” - Is that love the hero was feeling or just a little lost? The words of romance and lust are not the same. MHO
Another great installment to the Royal Hearts Series!
Kiss of Snow is the 2nd book in the Royal Hearts Series, and it is with Princess Rose' eldest sister Lily. She is going to be Queen, but she must choose a suitor. While the evil queen is out to get her throne, Lily moves to her summer palace to meet her 7 suitors ... and guess what she nicknames her suitors? I'll give you a hint... this book is loosely based on Snow White :-)
I absolutely adore Captain Keane! I loved his character, how much he wanted to protect Lily, how much he loved her! I was very happy with how this book ended.
I thoroughly enjoyed this fairytale retelling. Lily is now the heir to the throne and the nobles want her to marry for political reasons. By her side is Keane, her captain of the guard and secret love.
Of course there are some threats to her life and for her and her sister Iris's safety they decide to relocate to their summer palace. Unfortunately, this is what the evil queen has wanted all along!

Lily is struggling with taking the final steps to becoming queen of Talador. Keane is the captain of the guard and threaten he loves Lily. When Lily's life is threatened, she moves to the summer palace you try to protect her sister There are seven suitors who Lily nicknamed after the seven dwarves in snow white. They have battles to fight but Lily and Keane find love together. I like the first book better but it was nice to learn more about Tales of and Lily and Ross's mother.
Following Lily's journey of being the heir of Talador and her having the weight of becoming Queen on her shoulders. Being diplomatically prepared did not compensate for the magical attacks that she began to face. Along with safety of herself and her sisters she is also tasked with allowing 7 suitors to attempt to win her affections and align their kingdoms. Through grit and determination Lily must choose between her heart and her training. The spice was perfectly placed and so were all the emotions that surrounded it. ✨️📚✨️
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great romance and drama with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
I’m so happy for this book and for the series to continue! I loved this take on Snow White. The twist of the dwarves was both hilarious and quite unique. This is in your ‘forbidden romance’ trope with great chemistry and heat between princess and her royal guard. Loved the ending and sincerely hope for more of the princesses tales.
I love love love this book. It's so interesting to see different twists on old fairy tales and this one was amazing. It had everything from the original story but much more steamer which I adored. I can not wait for the rest of the series! The characters were captured so well and I just loved reading about it all.
This was a fun and enjoyable story. I liked the characters, storyline, little twist and turns, and the ending. Some of it was predictable, but that's okay it was still good. This time, I listened to the audible only and did not read the Kindle version. I also enjoyed the audible version. Overall, I'm very glad that I listened to the second book in the series!
Kiss of Snow is an adult Snow White reimagining and is Lilly's story who we met in book one of the Royal Hearts duet. We get to see most of the characters from the first book and are introduced to even more new ones. It's worth the read.
I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first one, and I was able to uncover most of the plot fairly quickly. It is a retelling of snow white, after all. But im looking forward to any sequels, we do have the rest of the sisters to marry off
I really enjoyed Lily's story. Her personality was so different and than Rose's and her journey was just as fun. Keane was a strong male lead that didn't make Lily seem weak. The 7 suitors were a great edition. Overall a great fairytale retelling that is definitely worth reading.
Reading the story the flow was amazing with the other pov's. Keiran is my favorite in the book he was so hard on himself I felt for him. The twist and turns had me has dropping throughout but I definitely will re-read again
I loved the story but was taken out of the immersion with so many missed corrections, typos, left in words that weren't needed and some punctuation errors. The author's other works are better managed in this regard.
1st reading: Much like the first one, in that it was a decent story, decently well written, but simplistic, meaning it could have been fleshed out more. Riala as Grimelda was plain as the nose on my face the first time she showed up, but I wonder if we were meant to know that?

I loved the Zodiac series and I love this series as well. I can only hope and assume you will write about the other sisters as well- I’d love to read Iris’s story! Rarely do sequels keep me interested but all of your books have me excited all the way thru.
This book was such a snore! I struggled getting through it. I loved the first book and all her other books but this one dragged and dragged. I did not enjoy reading this one. It had a cute ending but that’s about it. Bummer.
Beautiful love story. I enjoyed reading this book the storyline was great. I am glad I read the prequel about Dahlia and Garon first as it helped to understand their roles in the story.
eh..I've read much better snow white retellings. The romance was too rushed in my opinion, no build up or anything. I guessed who the villain was almost immediately. cute take on the seven dwarves though, I thought that was different and clever.
It was intense, light reading & enjoyable. The story & characters were interesting & the twists & turns made it fun to read. Keep them coming & I'll keep reading them.
