The Deja vu I was experiencing while reading this. I'm too lazy to check, but I could swear passages from Tori Amos: All These Years : The Authorized Illustrated Biography were just copy-pasted into here. It doesn't help that a lot of the same Tori quotes were also used, but I swear even the non-quote bits were oddly similar, even in timeline. Anyways, this wasn't all for nothing though, as I STILL learnt something new about Tori, which is that she provided backing vocals to Wall of Voodoo's OG frontman Stan Ridgway's solo album ‘Mosquitos’ in 1989?! Consider me flabbergasted. I love when there is a universe crossover.
It's made very obvious this book was written by a man in the 90's by the mostly condescending, often sexualizing language the author uses. However, I'll always love learning more about Tori Amos, and the many quotes of hers scattered throughout redeem the reading experience. The photos included are super fun, as well.
