Paging Dr. Hook Up

What happens in Vegas is supposed to stay there. At least, that's what I've always heard.

I'm positive it's not supposed to walk into my gyno appointment and tell me to spread my legs.

My stop in Vegas before moving to NYC was a celebration. And I may have partied a little too hard. Okay, a lot too hard. But I didn't regret the one-night stand with Eli.

Until he opened the door as my new OBGYN.

Talk about awkward. I wish I could crawl into a hole and die. Instead, he's going to be crawling into my hole…again.

The only thing stronger than my embarrassment is the attraction still sparking between us.

There's just one problem: whatever this is was never meant to be more than one night.

Can what happens in Vegas survive in New York?

Author Note: Paging Dr. Hook Up is a laugh out loud swoon-worthy novelette featuring a sinfully hot doctor and a sassy heroine who knows what she wants. The story is fun, sexy, and the perfect escape. Enjoy!

Paging Dr. Hookup by Mika Jolie was a short, but sweet, humorous and spicy read.

In this latest offering from Jolie, we meet Sage and Eli. Sage and her best friend went to Las Vegas to celebrate her recent job offer. While there, she met Eli. Their instant and intense connection led to them spending a night of passion together. However, Sage’s fears and insecurities did not leave room for anything serious. She never expected to see him again, so you can imagine her surprise when she discovered he was her new OBGYN. Talk about awkward.

That scene had me laughing the whole time. Even as write this review I am chuckling at the memory.

I found the story to be well written. I thought the characters were well developed for such a short story. Although it would have been nice to have a little more information about Eli. I have to say I was disappointed to learn the reason for Sage’s actions. Considering that I was wondering why would she want to go back to Las Vegas after her last fiasco. This however did not take away from my enjoyment of the story.

If you need some laughter amidst all the chaos taking place, Paging Dr. Hookup provides the perfect escape. Short, sweet, funny and packs a punch.

Loved this!!

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas right?

NOPE.

Not only is the cover eye-catching, but the blurb... how could I not want to read this one?!

Sage and her friend, Chelsea, go to Vegas for some fun and relaxation. They see a couple of hot guys out by the pool, they have drinks together, and sparks fly. Sage ends up hooking up with hot doctor Eli. He never mentioned what kind of doctor he was, nor where he was from. They didn’t exchange any personal info - it was Vegas. And only a hookup in Vegas, that’s it.

I loved Eli & Sage together. The instant spark. The sizzling chemistry. Their passionate night in Vegas was scorching HOT. Seriously. And I could feel their connection. They connected on a level that scared the begeezus out of Sage. Not just sexually and physically, but also emotionally. Too much too fast for her. Especially after what happened the last time she went to Vegas. So she turns him down when he wants to spend more time with her.

Imagine her surprise a month later, in New York, when she heads to her gyno appointment and sees who her doctor is. LOL! Loved the humor in this story!

The author gives a lot of story and plenty of feels in this charming story. It may have been a novella, but it gave me everything I wanted and needed. This was the third book I’ve read from this author and it was another winner!

H-O-T! What are the chances of a one night stand in Vegas, turning up where you live in New York? You would think it would be very slim, right? Surprisingly, Sage's fling is her new OBYGN, recommended by her cousin. Eli is just as shocked as Sage, and is hoping they can pick up where they left off. Does Sage want to be with him, or does she want what happened in Vegas to stay in Vegas? A short and sexy read!

Deal Me In!
This book starts off with the heroine, Sage, speaking directly to the reader (like a friend). That felt playful and intriguing. When Eli and Sage met in Vegas, I really loved their candid conversations. Their flirtation amped up the sexual tension and sizzled with passion. After "what happened in Vegas" Ms. Jolie brought Eli and Sage back together with humor and palpable emotion. It felt full of possibility! Another bonus in this story was the friendship between Chelsea and Sage. It was a fantastic and fun relationship. Their ease and teasing with one another made me smile. I liked the pace of the story and enjoyed the inner monologue moments. This was a fun, entertaining, and steamy read!

Just the right amount of sweet and spicy!

Sage and Eli meet by chance during a weekend trip to Vegas. Though their chemistry is immediately palpable, Sage is worried that her past will catch up to her. Will she walk away from sexy Dr. Hook Up? Or will she give love a chance? 💘💞

This is awesome!! 💙💜

This story is sweet and short. Well it really is too short. I want to know more about Eli and Sage. Their second chance romance is wonderful. Sage is not a typical heroine. She is clumsy and adventurous. Eli is a hot hunk, but decent and not a fan of hookups.
I received an earc from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Explicitly sweet and swoony!

Dr. Elijah Fuchs, this guy surely drove Sage nuts when she decided to end things with him in the City of Sin. He's every woman's dream guy but the past that haunted Sage came coming back to her, making it impossible for her to see their future.

This short story made me forget about the uncertainties happening around me and the world. The characters are sweet and swoony and definitely funny. Author Mika Jolie provided a moment of reprieve with explicit happiness and delicious excitement she'd always been able to bestow her readers. Her love stories are always a sure fire hit for me!

Quick read end at 89%

This is a very quick read but you're left hanging about what happens. Ok so she goes to Vegas hooks up with Eli and then comes home to find out that he is her gynecologist when she goes for a check up. In office after exam they decide to go to lunch and that is where it ends. Ummm.. And that was at 89%

Sometimes what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas. Just ask Sage. She has the most awkward… hilarious encounter when she goes to get her annual check-up, and it’s Mr. Vegas, Eli. Sage and Eli hit it off from the very beginning, and sparks fly, but this is very reminiscent from her last trip to Vegas. Will history repeat itself, or will Sage open a new chapter in her book?

This book was fun and quirky. It was a quick read with awesome characters. I felt like there was a laugh a page, with relatable characters. Sage was absolutely excellent. She was flawed and honest. Eli was so adorable, and I loved that he asked for consent. Mika Jolie is a fantastic author who writes such heartfelt stories with realistic characters. This is no different.

Looking for a quick afternoon read with loads of fun and spunk. Then this is your book.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, or does it. Sage has a history of her nights in Vegas and the last one was not so stellar. Her bestie is determined to change that for her and takes her to celebrate with her. A fun weekend and a quick hook up can't hurt anybody right?

When Sage arrived home she can't stop thinking about Eli and the chemistry they had. Did she make a mistake by not trying to keep in contact, see if there was more there? Imagine her surprise when she meets him in the most obscure place for the second time back home in New York. Is it fate? Should they give this mutual attraction that is so strong a second chance?

I have never read a book so fast in my life. Let’s not count Dr. Seuss (lol).
Vegas never looked so good. Everything was beautiful and popping in all the good ways and I’m not talking the magnificent hotels. This is the place you go to gamble, live large and see all the gorgeous sites. That’s exactly what Sage did and then some. And, after her big night with Eli she left her heart in Las Vegas because, That’s Life! Or so she thought!

This story will have you smiling, laughing and swooning from the moment you open the book. Seriously, you won’t want to stop. I’ve never been so sad to see, The End. Move over Dr. McDreamy and all the others. There’s a new legend in town! Could Vegas really be the land of second chances? Does fate really exist? Well take a gamble and read this endearing story to get the answers to all these questions and so much more! Ding, Ding, Ding...JACKPOT!!!!

Paging Dr. Hook Up by Mika Jolie was a quick, fun and sexy read. A woman and her friend look for some fun in Vegas. When Sage meets Eli, he is just what the doctor ordered. They have a fun and steamy night and that was it. Imagine her surprise when she later she finds out Eli is her new OBGYN. The spark is still there, but it was supposed to be one-night, right? I loved Sage and Eli, even as Eli struggled to get through Sage’s wall. The story was fun and sweet.

When you know you just know, well sort of...maybe not! Sage is one mess of a woman! Mika did an amazing job at showing us just who the heroine is! Shes quiet, witty and super hilarious, but she’s also unsure!

As sage gets ready to start a new chapter in life she meets Eli! A sexy, kind doctor who seems to know what he wants and has life All figured out! One hot night spooks sage and she makes a decision that ends up leaving her feeling more unsure than anything else!

This was a quick funny romance that I instantly devoured! I laughed so hard and swooned any time Eli opened his mouth (seriously the guy is amazing)! This is a definite must read for anyone needing a quick fix of romance!

Sage goes to Las Vegas with her best friend Chelsea to celebrate getting a new job as a curator at a museum in NYC. She has mixed feelings about the trip because last year she came to Sin City and made quite a mess for herself. She is trying to restrain more self control this trip.

Well, she meets hot Doc Eli and they have amazing chemistry! What happens in Vegas s supposed to stay there, right? Not follow you back to your new city and be your new GYN Doc! Get between your legs for a different reason! No way! What kind of universe is this?

This fun, sweet romp was such a delight to read, you will be finished before you can page Dr. Hook Up! Wish it was longer is my only complaint.

4.5 Why isn’t it longer 😫

I love Mika Jolie and this is my first novella by her. I should’ve known that I wouldn’t feel satisfied when I finished 😫 (because it’s THAT good). That’s really the only reason it’s 4.5 stars and not a full 5 stars.

Okay so the book starts off with Sage going to her new gynecologist, getting naked since she’s about to get her annual checkup and then being awe-stricken at the fact that her doctor is none other than the fling she had a month before. Last month, Sage and her bf went to Vegas as a last hurrah before Sage started her new job on the other side of the country (at a New York museum). The last time Sage was in Vegas, she met a guy and accidentally 😳married 😳him😱. So when Eli (Captain America lookalike) and his friend (the Thor lookalike) approach them at the pool, Sage hesitates. She doesn’t wanna go down that road again. Meanwhile, her bf and Thor hit it off.

So Eli tells Sage that he isn’t the kind to sleep around. In fact, he clarifies that he’s the “meet your parents” kind, which scares Sage since she’s been down this road before. They connect, and it’s so raw, so visceral, so explosive that Sage can’t help but take him back to her hotel and man was IT GOOD! His skills are off👏🏻the👏🏻chain! There’s awkwardness that follows the next morning because of her hesitation and history with Vegas in general.

Flash forward to the present... see, this is what I mean when I say I need more. I need more of them. Their connection was so damn palpable that a novella doesn’t do it justice 🥺. Even if it was like 50 pages longer I would feel satisfied. Agh. I definitely love Mika Jolie’s writing style. I should’ve know I would need more 🤦🏻‍♀️ maybe there will be a book 2 🙏🏻. I definitely recommend this book. It took me less than an hour to read

This was a cute, sweet, steamy story with characters that were fully developed, especially for a novella, and a storyline that gives us all the feels!

I loved Sage and her rather quirky ways. She’s just made a turn at the crossroads of her life and although she’s out to have a night of fun, she’s not going to be foolish. Her character had quite a bit of luggage and watching her work through it and come out successful was wonderful.

While we don’t get Eli’s point of view, it wasn’t difficult to figure out what he wanted and how he felt about things. He was pretty much an open book and there were times that my heart hurt for him.

This is a very fast read laced with good friendship as well as plenty of wit and charm. Add in the sizzle going on between the hero and heroine and some great secondary characters, and this is the perfect book to read. If you’re looking for something fast and flirty but with plenty of meat on the bone, this is definitely the one!

Paging Dr. Hook Up by Mika Jolie was a quick read but packed full of humor, sweetness, and of course spice. This is the first book I have read by Mika Jolie and I really enjoyed it.

Sage and Chelsea, her best friend, head to Las Vegas to celebrate a new job. While there they find a couple of super hot guys and have some drinks. One thing leads to another and Sage is hooking up with the hottie doctor Eli. During their time together Eli never mentioned what type of doctor he was or where he was from.

The connection between Sage and Eli was immediately super intense, so much so that it terrified Sage Sage had a history in Vegas that only made things even worse/harder for her. This causes her to turn him down when he asks to spend more time with her. So imagine her surprise when, in one of the funniest scenes I have read in a while, Eli turns out to be Sage's new OBGYN.

Even with this being a short/novella style book Mika gave me everything I wanted in a book. There was plot development, in depth characters, and a full story for the reader. I would recommend this book.

This was a cute novella. I loved Sage & Chelsea's bff banter and relationship. Their last hooray to Vegas is bittersweet but they are determined to have a great time. And they both meet hot guys. And that's Dr hot guy for Sage. Eli is not the typical one night stand guy and he is so easy for Sage to became over the top anxious about because of her last trip to Vegas. She can see herself falling for Eli after one night of awesome sex and heart melting, swoony words. So Sage does the only thing she thinks will save her, she ends it and doesn't see him again for the rest of the weekend.

Sage starts her new life and job in New York and is awkwardly waiting for her annual gyno exam and lol her new dr, yup Dr Hook Up himself. The tension is palpable, the comments are funny. In the end there is a great starting point for a HEA for Sage & Eli to continue on, which only adds to this feel good quick read. Definitely worth a 1 click!!!

This is a cute little summer read, with a sizzling hot holiday romance 😍 ... I wish it was a little longer, I wanted more of them after they got together but then I kinda feel like it ended perfectly too. Girl I wanted to shake Sage a time of two, my heart actually sank when she tells him she doesn’t want to see him anymore, I honestly think I would of cried if I let myself but it showed what a man he was when he kissed her goodbye and told her ... This is my first time reading for this author. What an awesome experience. Sage went to Vegas to enjoy some relaxation before starting a new job. She did not want to make any bad decisions like she did last time, what happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas. But meeting Eli's eyes across the pool and she's not sure she can not keep looking into them.
Eli went to Vegas to enjoy some relaxation and time with a friend, he never thought he would find someone as beautiful as Sage. Now he wants to spend all his time with her, but she has had bad experiences in Vegas before and doesn't want to repeat so he respects her choice. Now months later when he walks in the room as her new Dr. neither of them can believe their eyes. They can't deny the feelings they still have and have to decide if they are going to see each other as more than patient and Dr.

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
Paging DR. Hook up is a novella in the ‘’passport 2 love’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. Paging DR. Hook up is the first book of Mika Jolie’s that I have read. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Sage visits a new OB Gyn she never expects to have met him before. Will Sage get a second chance at love with the man she let get away?
The chemistry between Elijah and Sage is clear to see and I liked them together. I just wish that we got a few more scenes of them as an official couple.
I really liked the ending of this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

You start out with Sage meeting her new OB/GYN and going oh crap! Then she tells you why. She had met Eli-The Doc, in Las Vegas when she and her bestie went for the weekend. She meets Eli in the casino and they hook up but then she freaks out and doesn't want to spend the whole weekend with him. She explains why later in the book. But how does she feel when she sees him again? Will they hook up again? Does what happens in Vegas really stay in Vegas?
I laughed! The conversations between Sage and her friend and also Eli was great.
This is a really short read and I would have loved for it to have been longer!
Loved this book!

Simply amazing! Delightful, hot, sexy and entertaining The characters were fun, free, and exciting. The story was wonderfully told from Sage’s hilarious POV (one that was similar to Dean from The Boy Friend.)

Sage was finally getting a handle on her life when she met the charming, soon-worthy Eli. Their relationship was natural and straightforward. I loved the unrestricted chemistry between them. l also loved the friendship between Sage and her Bff Chelsea.

Once again Mika Jolie delivered another excellent read. It was expressive, had great depth and read like a full-length novel. This book is a must-read!

Fun read. I could feel all of Safe’s emotions. Fun, attraction, connection but also fear. She could tell that there was something about Eli, unfortunately the past paralyzed her for a minute and then she ran. The next overwhelming emotion was regret followed by unbelievable awkwardness. I was there with her in the exam room. I could feel that flight or fight emotion, and then her resolve. That decision. It was like a switch was flicked and then I felt her hope. Eli was solid throughout. I loved how he didn’t make her sweat in the end but instead embraced the possibilities. My only regret is that it was too short. I really hope that we get to read about Sage’s and Eli’s next chapter.
