Whattup Ramblers! I'm back with another ARC review. I feel like they are coming out my ears haha. An interesting picture that created in my head 😆...Because I like to prepare you guys, just know my head is legit all over the place. Meds are at it again but my concentration is shot and it's just free rein up in my head. Just imagine like little cute brain cells running around wild not knowing what to do. Or my personal favourite. Minions. They have taken over control of the motherboard of my brain. 😂
Can you believe that the final book is almost here?! Like five days! And my great hats what an epic conclusion to the series it was! Leia will take you on quite the journey with this one. She pulls out all the magic cards and things get real intense.
There will definitely be moments that you just want to curl up and sob your little heart out...there were some serious moments, that I will not divulge lol, but really ripped out my heart...Some I seriously didn't know how to move past that point...I may have just laid there for a moment trying to process it all (you know what I'm talking about Leia...I'm still not recovered from that). Once you read it guys, you'll know what scene I'm talking about...but for now, I'll just torture you guys with where it left me...in that moment and what followed afterwards. A mess. I. Was. A. Mess.
But take comfort in the fact that it will all right itself (well mostly lol)...but before that time comes, some serious things will go down...so try and prepare yourself for that. If that's even possible.
Truly, I was sad to see this series come to an end but if I had to see it close...then I will admit I was very happy with how it was all wrapped up. It felt like I could finally breathe again (coz don't expect to be doing much of that...I lost count of how many times I realised I had unconsciously been holding my breath)...but do you know that feeling you get whilst being wrapped up in a favourite blanket after a bad day? How it can feel warm and complete? That's the best way I can describe how this book will make you feel.
This book was my favourite in the series. Everything was all just go, go, go and the pace was just perfectly set. This book is about so much more than only saving Faerie. It was a book about learning who you are, revealing past wrongs and finally righting them. It was about healing and love and how you come back fighting stronger than ever before. It was about forgiveness and renewing a land without old hates. Allies and friends working together. There's plenty of heartache (you have no idea!) and pain to come...but it's finally time to have all the secrets revealed and to forge a new path, a new Faerie.
We know that book two left us with a lot of questions and totally knocked us for a spin (am I right?!)...so this book is by far the hardest and most brutal on the emotions. But it was also truly perfect and beautiful.
Let me talk a little about the plot. Well, we know that Lily learns that the man she loves, kinda killed her mum (talk about a complication! Don't stress he's totally redeemed in my eyes)...anyways, Lily is trying to work through the hatred and hurt of this truth. The pain she feels is so raw that you can literally feel it in the writing. But as more truths are uncovered and more secrets revealed, she knows that not everything is simple, but can get very messy and complicated. Our girl goes through a lot (they all do to be honest), but she pulls herself together and works with her friends and allies to mend broken bridges, to rebuild the trust broken. And that's some major bridge mending going on. Think like X-men style.
But with them all being open, they all work together to take the Winter King down and to retrieve the crystals. Meanwhile, Lily is having to take on a lot more responsibility. Remember her connection to the Queen? Lily may just have to become a stand in Queen whilst the balance of Fae is restored and hopefully hand that over to her mother-aunt (as she first called her lol).
Yeah, No....Nothing will be easy...especially when the Winter King is definitely not ready to stand down anytime soon...he's deadset on creating his own 'New Faerie'...but surprise, surprise not all evil people are labelled, some are super manipulative and have their own agenda held close to their chest (and that is all I'm saying on that). The fight of a lifetime is here and they will have to fight with all they have to survive. Not all will survive this fight but with a ruling Fae Queen, with incredible power, it may just tip the odds.
I loved so much about this story. It was raw and powerful and hit me in the feels. This, in my opinion, was an incredible read! I loved how everything fell into place and not in an expected way (Like ummm dude that Hunt creature WTH??! I was like....)
The characters and friendships were extremely well thought out and I love how much they all grew as a whole and individually (can I just say, called it about Jasper!? Loved that character from the beginning. Sorry sidetracked...getting back on track lol)....Yeah they messed up and made their mistakes at times, but who doesn't? I really loved how they picked themselves up from those moments and were stronger because of it. After all it's just as Lily said:
"Love was messy and hard and, at times, ugly, but I was learning that just maybe… love was enough. Because being near Liam again had made me feel at home. He was my family now, and we had to find a way to fix what was broken. Together."
The imagination and thought that went into this book was soo cool to witness and read. The story, honestly, just comes to life so easily. So many times my heart was in my throat and made me feel like I had the biggest adrenaline rush. I think this ↓ truly says/covers it all lol.
I don't want to say too much more. I really struggled with sharing the plot today but I felt it was better to give you less on that side of things either way lol. But guys Leia has done it again...and created yet another world that I adore.
Can I just quickly say...that epilogue scene hit me like:
Guys, don't be fooled by that sweet, sweet cover...It's tryin' to trick you! Give you a false sense of okayness and all that lol! This book will give you everything. The good the bad and everything in-between. So make sure you go get yourself this final book to this fantastical series. If you have yet to start it...
This is the perfect time to start reading the series. As book three is releasing October 1st. You can find it on Amazon - Saving the Fae (Daughter of Light 3).
Thank you as always Leia for providing the perfect escape...I know I already told you this, but your worlds really have helped me through so much. Even to just escape my own head and the life of being chronically sick. It means so much to me, to be able to be on the ARC team for this series and to share with everyone how incredibly talented you are. Happy upcoming release day girl! 😀🖤
Hey guys, I didn't do too badly 😆. I didn't go off on any super random tangents lol...and the ones I started to float down I deleted and gave myself the whole 'focus girl focus, stay on track' talk lol. 😂
Anywho guys, I think I'm going to leave it there for today. Don't forget to comment below and let me know your thoughts. Also if you've loved reading my Rambles feel free check out my blog: Read,Ramble,Repeat
Saving the Fae is the third and final book in Leia Stone’s Daughter of Light series.
Lily’s circle of trust has grown smaller and smaller, and those she thought were once trustworthy and had good intentions for Faerie and herself, is over.
Having her heart ripped out once again Lily must fight through her own hurt and pain, and do what’s right for those of Faerie. It’s time for war and no one better stand in her way.
This story is emotional and fast paced as all the pieces fall together for the conclusion to the Daughter of Light series. This was a great ending and wrapped up the story completely.
Lily, working with her ex-lover and the murderer of her mother, embark on a quest of getting back all the crystals the Winter King has stolen from Faerie. Without the crystals, all the fae will die. This is the third book of the series. A good conclusion of the story.
Definitely one of those fun, quick finish-in-one-sitting books. It's s feel good story with not too much angst, thank goodness. I was worried with how book 2 ended. Overall, just a very entertaining, fast read.
This book flew by. So much happened in that last half! I almost felt it was kinda rushed at the end but the epilogue was sweet. Wish she had gotten more of that in the end and how things moved forward. But overall a quick series read that was cute and empowering.
I can't decide between a 1 or 2 stars... the main character is extremely annoying, i've read other works from Leia and this was my least favorite. Since the beginning she was very emotionally driven without taking a moment to think or just learn, even when she had all the information at her disposal she was often disregarding it because "she didn't want to deal with it". There wasn't any character development since she was like this since the first book, at first it was just annoying but passable, but in the second book i couldn't deal with her, at this one i was over her already and it was a pain to read this, but since i invested so much reading the other books and this was so short, i pushed myself to read it. The ending at least, had me smiling a bit but all in all i wouldn't recommend it, a shame, since i love the covers so much
I was stunned the minute it was over. Like that's it ? It's over ?! The pacing is way too fast. I know I didn't really like slow pace book, but this was just way too fast. However, it was a good conclusion. Everybody live happily ever after with a new environment and government. After all its drama where the crystal being returned and stolen again, I am glad it was finally over even though it was too quick. I had no trouble with the plot and the world building is nice....except I never like the main character and the fact that she is an annoying brat. Lily was just the same from the first book until this last one, she's too emotional and I didn't really think she changed that much during this series. I endured it just because I want to find out how it wrap up in the end.
Lily is still trying to make sense of Liam's confession. She still loves him but really hates him now that she knows.
Grieve stricken, she receives a package from Liam delivered by his closest friend where she finds a strand of his hair inviting her to perform a memory spell to see what really happened that tragic and fatal day. However it's too painfull and she runs out of her room summoning Elle and Trisha. It is time to get the chrystals.
The winter king and his witch are always in the way and since her discovery, Lily has assumedthe role of leader.
Liam's friends and family, however, have left Faerie even if only Liam was banished. Time is of the essence and Lily must recover all 10 missing chrystals if Faerie and the Queen, Dahlia, are to survive.
Lily has finished her mother's journal, discovered many interesting elements that will impact her life. She has taken the hair strand from Liam and discovered what his memory has revealed even with the memory blockage spell cast on him. She feels foolish, is love sick and sets out to see Liam with the hope that they can resume their relationship and that her army of 5 may bevincreased in number with the 60 men Liam comands.
The elders have been kicked out of the tree of life's residence where Lily can make certain that the queen is well cared for and protected.
Through a connection at the Spring Realm tree, Lily is able to see the queen and get much needed ad vice and directions to follow.
This is the last of the trilogy on the daughter of life where this brilliant author has spared no expense to deliver a number of revelations as well as twists and turns, in the story to make the reader's head spin while grabbing the resder's attention. Great book thai I hiighly recommend and rate 5 Stars.

The final book in this trilogy has left me wrapped in a cocoon of warmth and love. We’ve followed along as both Lily and Liam discovered one another and all the lies that they had been fed from birth. We’ve walked through the destruction and stomped through the fire of the pain that has surrounded their hearts. Leia left us devastated at the end of the the last book, hearts ripped apart and words uttered that never should have been spoken. We are left gutted, not knowing which way to turn. Now is the time. Time for forgiveness, time for healing, time for revenge, time for renewal. It takes them all, it can’t be done alone. Not everyone will walk away. More secrets are revealed and more pain to be had. Yet there’s hope. Hope for peace, hope for happiness and hope for a new Faerie. I have no idea how Leia manages to blow me away again and again. If I could peek inside her head for five minutes....I loved this series and this book even if I cringed turning through the first few chapters. I was beyond livid with Lily’s character and couldn’t see a way through the damage that had been done. I love turning the pages and discovering what she has in store for me. It’s worth it. Thanks again Leia for the fantasy escape. I can’t wait for the next ride!
This was a good conclusion to the Daughters of Light series. Both books 1 and 2 ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, so I was excited to see how the series would wrap up. This book was really good and really entertaining, though not really unique to lots of the other Fae Fantasy series out there. However, I didn’t mind because I like this style of book haha.
Lily has dealt with some major revelations; learning she is the daughter of royalty and that her soulmate, Liam, killed her mom, all while being the only hope to save the Fae. Can she overcome all these obstacles? Can she forgive Liam for protecting himself? Is their a future for the Fae?
I really like both Liam and Lily as characters. They are both willing to do anything to protect their family and those they care about. I do wish there was a bit more information and interaction with the supporting characters overall. They were more mentioned in passing rather than being an active part of the story, which I would have prefered.
The story picks up where it left off in the second book. A confession from Liam that broke Lily's heart. In this final book, Lucy is blinded with rage, and her mind does not make the most rational decisions. She acts impulsively, resulting in her making decisions that she regrets later on.
Seven chapters later, we finally see the sunshine again, but only to be thrust into a great flurry of actions as the last five chapters of this book are intense. Every page had me on the edge of my seat, waiting to find out what would happen next.
I was so invested in the characters and the story that I couldn't put the book down until I reached the end, constantly fearing for their safety and if they would lose a team member. The conclusion was satisfying, with all those loose ends tied up and the conflicts resolved.
Before I move on to the next series, I want to thank the author for dedicating the book to me. Even though my spelling is a bit different, it still rhymes the same 😉. I'm one of the many lucky Jessicas.
Honestly this book had me feeling so many ways. I absolutely loved the ending, even though I felt as though by at this point in the series I knew the group personally. I absolutely loved Lily and how bad ass her and Liam were. I really would love to see what a power couple they become in the future (or just imagine in my head if there's no future books)
I also loved the plot and really felt that this was tied up so nicely. It definitely felt like a realistic ending and honestly got me feeling so warm inside. (She says realistic as in, as realistic as fae world can be)
This book concept of fairy's, enemies to lovers, and a bad ass love interest really hooked me. But I honestly was so so pleased with the book, and definitely stayed because of all the amazing characters.
The starting drama is still stupid. Just putting it out there. This is the book where those earlier plot holes really don’t pan out. The indecision with the elder dragged a bit too, because she doesn’t actually do anything about it. But… there were some really sweet moments in here, and the character growth is real. I liked the complications and how they went about solving them, and it (mostly) cleans up all those remaining threads. I enjoyed it despite the giant plot holes. Just go with it and the series is a great ride.
What an epic conclusion to the Daughter of Light series! After a massive cliffhanger in the last book, Stone wastes no time before jumping directly back into the drama. The battles are epic, and there are several leading up to the final head-to-head with the Winter King which has a twist you don’t see coming. I highly recommend binge-reading this since Stone doesn’t spend a lot of time re-explaining what happened in previous books, or characters. There is joy, and sorrow, hope, and despair. Everything you want in a concluding book in a series. There isn’t much wiggle-room at the end to continue, but I’m ok with it. I highly recommend this series!
This was such a great series and hidden gem of Leia’s. I don’t think this series gets enough hype!!! It’s seriously one of my favorites of hers. The last book was everything! It started right where the second one ended. The issues with the king (Liam’s father), Indra, Lily’s … all comes to head in this book and the ending!!! Omg!!! Lily and Liam are such a power house! Liam was put in such difficult positions and forced to do things he didn’t want to do because of his father. Lily while it took a little while, saw this and forgave him. This is a must read!!
I'm so in love with this series but mainly with this book as it is everything I was expecting to happen and even more!!! 🤗💕 I was so devastated by the ending of the previous book and now I'm rewarded with this sweet and perfect HEA!!! 💖 This installment is so well written, I felt every emotion rigth with our MC and did shed tears of joy in that intense, emotional moments our dear Lily shared with her loved ones 😭💞 I totally recommend this series as a MUST read!!! 🤩❤️
Leia Stone has once again written a home run on this last book in Lilly and Liam’s story. This book kicks off right where book two ended and starts hard and is action packed all the way to the end. So much happened in this book and the emotion is felt through the pages. Leia Stone is one of my favourite authors and she never disappoints to create a world that is unique and captivating that has the reader completely invested in her characters and the story she builds. Sad to see it end but loved reading it..highly recommended!
Wish it wasn't over yet. I love Liz & Lily's story. I would have enjoyed a spin-off about Cam and Elle. Or a story about Liam's mom finding a good man. A story about how the Queen puts everything back together again with the government or finds s soulmate. Anyway the story had a HEA. There is a lot of loss in this book. That is the cost of war I'm afraid. There is a lot of back and forth and emotional turmoil for Lily. So be prepared. The ending, however is worth it.
Honestly this wasn’t great at all. But it was entertaining and everyone had a fitting end. My main worry is that all of these books have similar stories and every characters name could be replace with a diffeeent heroine’s name from one of Stone’s other series and you wouldn’t even notice. Despite the horrible un-originality, I can’t help but like this. Our heroine didn’t do much, things wrapped up super quickly and I just spoke my head at how convenient certain foes seemed to appear and be dealt with in the same scene. Still I like this.
Saving the Fae is the last book in the Daughter of Light trilogy by Leai Stone.
It takes of where the last book left us. All Lily knew about Liam, her soulmate, was nothing but a lie. He betrayed her and kill her mother. So she kick him out her Faerie. And will go after the last of the crystals, stolen by his father, back. But can't seems to find them. She will need to learn the trust Liam again, needing the work with him if she wants to deafeat the Winter king and save Faerie and wake up the Queen before its to late.
Wow. She really does become powerful. I feel bad for all those people who were innocent and lost their lives. Also for Liam’s men who were fighting for a good cause. I’m glad they’re back together. I just wish she would’ve given him a chance to explain and they wouldn’t have had the need to separate and start over. Even though she’s been through horrible things, I’m glad she still has a family. Her mother, Elle, Liam, Cam, etc . . . I’m glad she gets pregnant. I wish we could see move of that later one.

What a great ending to this series and a perfect happily ever after! The events to winning the war were so action packed I couldn't stop reading. There were moments were I felt teary and of course we had to experience a great loss, WHY?! Although there were other deaths much deserved. It was go from the first chapter after the ending of book two - I didn't know how this was going to go but I love where the story went and outcomes on different aspects of the series. I will always dive straight into a fae series! 9/10 recommend this series!
This whole series was a rollercoaster of emotion. I laughed, I felt betrayed and surprised by twists I did not see coming. I felt anger and warmth. If you’re like me, you’re rooting for Liam to redeem himself for a heinous crime against lily and her family. A few characters get the death daggers from me. But you will just have to read to find out who. Great series and an epic finale to it all.
