*Series Complete*

Nearly being murdered has been the highlight of my day.

They say the road to Hell is paved with good intentions, but the path to redemption is far more winding. And honestly? I’m getting sick of the twists the Fates have lined mine with. Life doesn’t freely give out happy endings and poetic justice though, you have to fight for them. And even then, sometimes things just don’t work out the way you want them to.

At the mercy of someone twisted with obsession, I need to find a way to fix everyone else's mess without losing myself completely in order to survive. They put their faith in a Sin, and I can't even bring myself to laugh at the irony.

Running out of time, I have one chance to pull this off and pray that for once I’m enough. That the pieces of my soul I’ve sacrificed will be worth it in the end. and that amongst the ashes, something better will rise; Sphinx be damned.

*This is a darker fantasy romance where our heroine gets all of her men. While not described in graphic detail, this series does contain mention of darker themes that some may find triggering, so please read the note in the beginning of the book before choosing to read.

Ohhh the long awaited finale is here and I loved it!! So much better than I thought it would be!! Poor little Skye, so wise beyond her years, and Raina ohh the world isn’t done with her yet. Oh and after the last book’s cliffhanger we finally find out what happened with Seros!! Woo hoo, oh and then of course there was the twist that I didn’t see coming but totally should have. Oh Cain and Ryker have their moments too, they are not forgotten. I really enjoyed this series, the world building was monumental and Kearston does an excellent job with her characters, they feel so real and alive, even after finishing the books you are still thinking about them and puzzling out parts of the plot and the people. It is what makes it such a great series.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this series is absolutely epic. I could not have asked for a better ending for Raina and her men. This book was the best of the series. All the secrets, loose ends and twists and turns come together flawlessly. Old and new characters come together to make this book absolutely amazing. I am so sad that this series is over but I hope to see more from the same world. J.Kearston absolutely killed it with this series and I can’t wait to see what else she has up her sleeve.

What a finale!! This book had everything you could possibly want in the ending of a series.

We get the answers we crave from Seros, we find out what is up with Quinn, the sphinx problem is dealt with, the raiders are as well, and there is a true ending for the team. Could this book have a spin-off and focus on other characters like Skye or Jade...yes but if there isn't we won't be asking millions of questions either- it was a great break.

The characters really did come full circle and the new characters that we met even had a clean storyline. The world-building, again, was impeccable and really transported you to other realms. It was great to see Raina lose a little control- just to remind us that she is not perfect.

I absolutely loved this book and series as a whole and would recommend it to all fans of mythology, and PNR RH. Yes, there are a few typos but the author is human and I will not condemn her for that. I was fully immersed in the book and a few mistakes didn't ruin that for me.

Having read the fantastic first two books of this series, I was desperate to read book 3 and it didn’t let me down - it is AMAZING!!! What a fantastic end to the series - I’m gutted it’s finished. I’m not going to say too much as I had an ARC copy and I don’t want to give out any spoilers but for anyone who hasn’t read this series - WHY THE HELL NOT??? If you like PRH books then I highly suggested you read this series. I am already looking forward to J Kesrston’s next books and hope they don’t take too long to come out.

Very very dark book 3.5 stars rounded up

I don’t know how to rate this book. I loved the first book of the series which was dark, but I felt that the rest of the series was super dark.

The heroine and her mates are very brutal and dark....not completely evil but close enough.

They do fight even greater evils, but I felt the heroine lost herself and never did get back the humanity she fought to hold onto.

Also didn’t like what happened with Bastet relationship with the heroine and what happened with the Sphinx.

Very hard to rate for me. Overall I think the heroine killed more people than all the other enemies combined.

Her intentions were different but obliterating cities because she is angry and she never once feels remorse for that.

Dark is fine, but the heroine became too close to evil and became similar to the very thing she was fighting.

Really good series!

How I loved the first two books the most, this last book in the series was still good. So many twists and turns it was a really good and quick read but I think that’s why I only gave it four stars. All the twists and turns could have been expanded more in the story but it would have easily made it into a longer series. Still such a fantastic story with Gods, a new Goddess, shifters, Sphinx and even a “mini” Sphinx. I cannot wait to read more from this amazing new author!

Obsessed - Fascinating

Wow! Totally enjoyable story. This is book three and it does not let the reader down. Love the strong and beautiful Raina who tries to take on the world. Her guys are so hunky, talented, and understanding with a side of humor, jealousy, and strength you just can’t imagine her life without them. While trying to save the “world” Raina sure does find herself in some major predicaments. Unfortunately, not to the benefit of anyone. Must read this story with all of its twists and turns you won’t be able to put it down.

Amazing and mind blowing

This series is beyond amazing. Every character is written in such a way you can imagine them easily. Raina is the main character and she is the absolute kick butt, leave my family alone, I won’t ever give up type of person. The story will enthrall you with references of both Egyptian and Greek mythology and then mix it with parts of Christianity. There is not a dull moment with tons of fighting and some very hot scenes. I loved this series and would tell anyone that loves paranormal romances that this is a must read.

Really wanted to like this series because the idea of a Sphinx shifter is really cool and fun, but it was really lacking in plot lol. Also…. If you’re going to include a 4 year old in your story, with magical powers or not, you should maybe like… spend some time with a 4 year old. Idk what 4 year olds this author has been around, but the one she wrote talked like she was 10 and did ALL SORTS of weird stuff that didn’t make any sense at all for how little she was. It drove me crazy the entire time and I couldn’t get past it 😂

The perfect freaking end

Well, I’m going to have a book hangover now. I’m a bit at a loss for words, this book is just that good. It’s good betrayal, redemption, love, conflict, parts so funny I cried from laughing so hard, and a world that truly sucks you in.

J Kearston has absolutely outdone herself with this book and the series as a whole. I only wish I could give it more than 5 stars. This is definitely one of my favorite series of all time.

Wow, I thought books 1 & 2 were great this one seems even better to me. It moved along at a great pace, making for an easy read. The characters are interesting and you cannot get enough of them. You feel as though you know them and no matter what happens you want to be there for them. The story will grab you and keep your interest all the way till the last page. This book has to be on your TBR list, no doubt about it.

Brought the series to a close with a light show

Raina, a newly discovered Sphinx, is reeling from the events in Obscured along with her mates, Cain and Ryker. As the story progresses old fears return, friends become enemies, and betrayal may be the only way to save them all. J. Kearston brought the series to a close with a light show worthy of ringing in the New Year. Her blend of beliefs from a variety of cultures built an amazing world worth reading again and again.

Absolutely loved it.

This series finale has me reeling. The character development alone was amazing, and added with all the action, and excitement, I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between the characters is perfect, and the plot twists are exciting, heartbreaking, and perfect.

Oh wow, what an end to one of the most unique series.

I have no words to describe how amazing this series is. Everything from the world-building to the interactions between the characters and the plot movement was on point and was true to the story and who the characters were.

Simply brilliant. A must-read for lovers of exceptionally unique concepts, and of course shifters.

Amazing ending to this series! I Could not expect anything that happened in this book.
Raina is still trying to capture Aya to prevent the Sphinx's doing more damage to the world.
Skye is still telling the future in her creepy hard to interpret way. Seros has betrayed Raina with no hope of getting back in her good graces.
this was an amazing read that i couldn't put down.

Did not see that coming!
This final book in the Rise of the Sphinx series takes you even further in Rhina's journey to save the world and not lose herself completely along the way.
I did not predict that solution to anything! But I loved the journey and especially Rhina's daughter. She was amazing - a bit scary, but so darn cute.

It just continues to be amazing. There is no better way to continue the story with all the twist and turns going on. As time is running out for Raina and the group hard decisions have to be made.

Must Read Trilogy

Hands down a great trilogy to read! You MUST read the books in order!!!
Raine has already accomplished so much, but now she must finish what’s been started! From losing a mate, to being kidnapped, being a Mom and kicking butt. I give it a 5 out of 5!

High action, drama and all the feels

Excellent ending to the series. Plenty of action as drama and steamy scenes. This is a world I hope we come back to many times. I'd love for Skye and Made to each have their own series. Definitely recommend.

Decent RH series

Over all this was a great RH series. I felt like the ending was a little anticlimactic. They were evading Orion the entire time but don’t come face to face with him until 80% through the final book. I enjoyed it but i liked other books by J. kearston better.
