I am an indie author of Romantic Suspense stories for adults with strong heroines and alphas ready to sacrifice everything for their women.
Born in Lithuania, I have been traveling the world for most of my life, and five years ago settled in the small French village in the middle of vineyards. This is where my first book was born and was soon followed by others.

This is the first novel for this author and it’s a dark emotional rollercoaster that once I began reading, I felt compelled to continue to the very end. I thought the author did a good job with building her characters and there was drama and suspense to go with the romance. I hope the author continues to write more books as I found this one to be very enjoyable to read.

I was blown away by this book.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I want more! It is amazingly well written and has a lot of drama and suspense. This story takes you on an emotional roller-coaster as you are gripped by the author's words from the very first page. You do not want to miss reading this book.

There is a lot of darkness at the topics raised in this story & the torment & torture suffered by our h. Although not overly graphic one can imagine what she endured. The forgery part relates to paintings & she is heavily involved as well as being a lure to prospective targets. In fact what she has been through is horrific.
Our H, a former FBI agent is a bit all over the place possibly due to situations he has been in. There was an insta love/lust between our protagonists but at times it was a bit OTT, even melodramatic. Maybe if it was toned down a bit I would have felt the connection more.
It did hook me in the sense that I wanted to see the outcome of all the twists in the plot & if our h would ever escape her tormentor.
While this was a good debut attempt it just needed a bit of something to bring it all together for me.

This is another book I came to cold.
There is some intense sexual assault in this book, so you are here-to-forth-with warned.
Things I liked: it hooked me, interesting female lead character, the intensity, unique situation, edgy, pretty gosh-darn dark.
Things I didn't like: the love story felt a little too perfect given what she'd been subjected to in her life that she'd go directly from that to the bed of love and not have to deal with the trauma of it first, the ending felt a little too perfect for me.
The sexual assault-to-love story felt unrealistic to me based on my limited understanding of sexual assault and trauma. It's not that a survivor wouldn't fall in love or ever have sex again, but to go from sexual assault to another partner like nothing happened, did not come across realistic, for me.
I'd be interested in this author's continued evolution with writing.

This debut romance is truly dark. At times, the brutality of the villain was hard to read, yet I couldn't put this one down. The premise of the story is original and intriguing--a child-prodigy-turned-art-forger trying to stay one step ahead of the forgery investigator who can save her from the hell of her life. The redemption at the end is heartbreaking yet perfect. David and Lavinia go through so much to find their HEA, and they deserve every second of it. Madsen's first book is a winner.

I’m a big enthusiast of dark romance and romantic suspense and this novel hit every button.
From page one I was sucked in and couldn’t put the book down. An exciting, suspenseful and erotic novel that I thoroughly enjoyed.
The novel is FULL of triggers though so don’t read it if that might be a sensitive issue for you.
