The more often I read this the more I fall in love with this story. Idk, I remember that at first I didn't know what to think of this (and the beginning in "Ringo.."), but rereading it know I just kept thinking, "I love this I love this I love this this is so good.")
It's a love story between two university students - one gay and one (up to then) straight. It's told mostly from the perspective of Natsuki (the gay one) dealing with his fear of trusting that their relationship will last. Considering the way life is his insecurity isn't difficult to understand, but by the end of the story it seems Komano (the "straight" one) has found a way of getting through to Natsuki and making him understand that he's serious about him.
I really liked their relationship, and the way the time they spent together is depicted. Their relative youth also comes across really well. And the sex scenes are verrrry nice. I love how manly and "compact" their bodies are. And the blow job scenes... I just love their body language during them and everything.
I also love the way Hideyoshico uses imagery, both in language and her pictures. (Starting with the sweet curry.) That kind of thing is what turns an ordinary story into a great story.
So yeah, this definitely ranks among my favourite BL titles.
Natsuki is so insecure, much like in the first manga, but this time the author went more in depth as to why Natsuki feels this way, and why he doesn't trust the love he feels for Komano. Natsuki thinks this is just a phase for Komano, an experiment, and when he's bored of him he will dump him. I love how Komano understands Natsuki's feelings and goes out of his way to prove to him that his love is real and this thing between them is serious.
Hideyoshico sevdiğim bir mangaka. Can sıkıntısından gezinirken denk gelip okuyuverdim.
Had to re-read previous book as I had zero recall on this couple, but I’m glad I did because this volume became much cuter, and increased page count does a much better job fleshing out feelings and such. There’s nothing new here, really, with the characters having fairly typical insecurities and questions, but I like how Komano treasures Natsuki, and how he just surges forward, always acting on his perceptions and feelings (in a good way). Komano understands where Natsuki’s feelings come from, but doesn’t let him wallow. He’s a good guy — something that wasn’t particularly evident in the previous (shorter) story where we had no context at all — which really made the difference here. (And particularly in this “I was straight/curious but I fell in love!” BL trope.)
it's a cute relationship. still just feels all over the place. also?? wdym you've been dating 6 months and don't know first names? crazy. just overall inconsistent imo. wish it was more cohesive cuz the relationship is cute and I would like more.
2.5. Might be my fault, i dont know if its becuz i RARELY read japanese manga, but i did not understand what they were talking about most of the time. I also still dont get why they were upset at each other. And the main problem got dealt with so fast… loved the artwork though!
