Received as a free copy from the author, this is an honest review. Sometimes you really don't know the people around you and that can cost you. Jett is settling down for a quiet weekend with his family away, a power outage alters his plans, bringing Jett to learn a neighbor's dark secret. Sick of being married, one guy thinks he's found the best way to accomplish his goal, but is he ready for what is required to do so? Highly recommended.

This series just keeps getting better!

Dan Alatorre just delivered another excellent anthology with three chilling stories to test the readers’ courage and fear of the dark.

The second story was so smooth that it took me a minute to realize I was reading a poem. The collection is a nice combination of plots; a nice variety. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary. Dan Alatorre is one of my favorite authors.

Awesome read

I read this book in just a couple hours and the only reason it took me that long was because I had to do other things. Dan Alatorre writes wonderful short stories and his horror/crime ones are a favorite of mine. I can't out it down and the stories in this book were thrilling. I can't wait to read the next one.

A Good Poem

There is a epoc poem style piece in this one (I listened to the audio book, so I don't know it's actual structure). I enjoyed it a lot.
Most of the endings I saw coming in this set, unlike previous collections, but that didn't damper my enjoyment. I'm becoming a fan of this author.

Plots get flipped and twisted. Enjoyed the Power Outage story best. Just when you assume one thing in sweeps the neighbour to save the day. Dark humour reigns supreme in the last story. His change of heart too little to late.

Enjoyable Read

Good stories with twist endings. Dark and suspenseful with a bit of irony and humor. Will definitely enjoy reading more by Dan Alatorre.

Short but wicked

This is a great set of short stories. They don't end in the way you thought they would. Great twists at the end.
