I decided to upgrade this to straight 4 stars because (even though I had it tagged at 4 technical stars anyway) and only written in as 3.75, people seemed to think that meant there was something wrong with this book. I assure you, I enjoyed this book. And according to the GR rating system, 3 means “liked” and anything above that is just gravy.

The ONLY reason I didn’t rate this higher is because I compare like to like. Meaning I am rating this in comparison to MY enjoyment of other 5-star works by this author. And knowing me, I’m sure I will love this more after re-reading the series again. But for now, 3.75 - 4 stars — which means I “really liked it” guys! Lol

The ACTUAL review:

Anna Zaires is an auto-buy author for me and I will read anything this woman writes. After reading book one of this series, I have been DYING for book two ever since. When this thing it my kindle...all other books went by the wayside and I dove right in.

description

Marcus is just as delightfully possessive and over the top as he was in book one and I really loved the chemistry between him and Emma. And I LOVED Emma's grandparents and her cats.

All in all, another solid read by Miss Zaires. I will take a 3-star or above book from her over many "5 star" reads by other authors any day of the week.

Also, for those wondering, this was the final book in this series.

***4.5 STARS***

“ You’re my addiction, my obsession, my reason for existing—and there’s nothing I won’t do to earn your love.”

I don’t know why I waited so long to read the second half of Marcus and Emma’s story. It was absolutely beautiful. I actually enjoyed the second book more than the first.

Marcus is so over the top... but what do you expect from a self made billionaire who is used to getting his way? Although he is possessive, he is my amount of possessive and he is consumed with Emma. He shows her over and over again how he feels and that was great reading. Emma is hung up on her past and that holds her back from accepting love. Her reluctance kind of wore on me because it was a little excessive for me and therefore the less than 5 rating.

But overall this book is a winner. It is a definite 180 from Anne Zaires darker romances but it was refreshing to read. I highly recommend this duet.

I love me an obsessed and swoony man, and Marcus is ALLLLL of that 👀.

If I looked up the definition of obsessed, Marcus’s picture would appear right next to it 👀

Sigh. I Loved rereading this duet 😍

I especially loved: potential spoilers
—Marcus’s audacity 😈. Run away from me? Let me get on my private plane to beat you to your destination 🤣. Going to your grandparents for Thanksgiving? Don’t mind if I also join you 🤡. Need somewhere to live? Well, you’re in luck, cause my place is HUUUUGE, and can accommodate all of your cats too 😈. No excuses 💀

—the 🔥. Uffff. UUUUFFF🫠🫠🫠 yeah. All of that 💦. I’m still praying for Emma’s V, cause… LORDT, Marcus doesn’t let up (bahahaha that’s what she said 🤣). I’m also praying for other places of hers… but her V takes the brunt of the beatings 🤡 (bahahah see what I did there 🤣🫣)

—winning over her grandparents 😉. Yup. He did that 🤷🏻‍♀️

—did I mention how obsessed Marcus is with Emma 😅. Cause yeah… he’s over the moon 👀. He can’t even look at her too long while they’re at the beach… because… well, you know… public indecency and all… 👀 kind of hard to hide something that big 🤣🫣. Something’s always up (🤣) when Marcus is around Emma 🤡

—Kendall!!! ❤️And Ashton 👀. I need their book please

—the cats 🤣. These furballs are sooo cute

—Marcus Vs. the Cats 😈. Bahahahaha. The rivalry continues 💀

—the way Marcus manipulates situations 💅. Yeah. He’s gonna do what he’s gotta do 🤷🏻‍♀️

—planning his future with Emma 😅. She might not know it, but Marcus does 🤣

—slight breeeeeding 😈🔥😉

2020 Review below
The book continues from where book 1 left off. Emma flies to see her grandparents in Florida but is surprised when she walks in and sees Marcus there. He’s declared that he and Emma are moving in together and her grandparents are ecstatic. Emma doesn’t appreciate that Marcus is trying to force her to move in with him, but he is not one to be easily deterred. When he wants sometimes, and oh MAN does he want Emma (🔥🔥🔥), he will do anything to get it. She is still hesitant because she doesn’t want him to think she wants him for his money. Both of them love each other, but communication is very important and they both need to do more of it.

I loved the book! I couldn’t put it down. Even when the cats “talked”, I found myself giggling. The chemistry between Marcus and Emma is beyond sizzling... it’s so intense, so seductive, so erotic that it made their connection even stronger. It was always more than just sex, which was a fear that they both had and their appetites were insatiable (and, as a reader, I didn’t mind 🤤😅😉🔥). I loved the epilogue. One thing I wonder is if there will be a book with Emma’s and Marcus’ best friends. Now I would love to read that 😊.

And this is why Anne Zaires is one of my favorite authors; I always get completely engrossed and lost in her books. I love it!!

I just love a boy chase girl story, and man did Emma make Marcus chase her! For a guy who didn't think she fit the mold for a perfect wife in book one, he sure did make a complete 180.

I love how this showed that you can't judge a person on looks alone. I also loved how we got to see Marcus try to woo his way into her life permanently.

Emma does have her insecurities that kept getting in her way. While that isn't something I particularly enjoy, it also showed how Marcus worked hard to convince her she needed him. Now that I enjoyed!

The cats in this were hilarious. They sound like a nightmare in real life, but once again, it showed how Marcus would do anything for Emma. I really like how the author kept giving us examples of what of how much he wanted her.

I'm super intrigued about a few of the side characters. I feel like there may be more to them and that we are going to eventually get their story. Overall, I loved this duet. The biggest draw for me was the hero chasing the heroine. Even when he was in denial he still chased her. I loved that!

What a wonderful conclusion to this duet!!! I just thought I loved Marcus in Wall Street Titan, this one has bumped him to first place as my favorite book hero ever!

’It was always this ruthless conqueror, a savage determined to consume me.

The real Marcus Carelli.'

This picks up exactly where the previous book leaves off. Marcus is now in full throttle to win Emma at any cost. If you’ve read anything by this author, then you know her heroes are intense. Marcus is all that but without the dark undercurrents. That doesn’t mean he won’t cross lines to get what he wants, but he’s not really breaking any laws.

’It’s best if she remains in the dark on this.

It would scare her to realize the length to which I’d go to make her mine.’

Ian

I loved watching this couple as they struggled with emotions even as they each tried to figure out how to win this battle between them. Emma remained true to her character but she also learns how to let go of her past insecurities and watching her was almost as good as watching Marcus stake his claim on her.

’My angry little kitten doesn’t know it yet, but she just lost the biggest battle of the war - and I’m not leaving until I have her full surrender.'

There are plenty of delicious jealous/possessive moments in this story which made me love this hero even more.

’The second I laid eye on Emma, my world went topsy-turvy, my rational brain hijacked by instincts so primitive I might as well move into a cave and start wearing furs.’

I found myself giggling over some of his thoughts and and delightfully shocked at a few of his actions. The man completely belonged to Emma although he doesn’t have a clue.

Embrace

This has no outside drama, just what is within each of these characters as they learn to trust each other, but the pace was still sharp and fast. This never bogged down or became repetitive. The chemistry is scorching hot and secondary characters added to my overall enjoyment. A few of those characters were of the feline variety and I loved how they highlighted just what type of man Marcus was.

Titan’s Addiction will definitely be on my reread list forever!

Spoilers ahead

Things I got from this book
1) The H was rich
2) The h was poor
3) Cats shed a hell of a lot

I liked Emma in book 1 but her determination to make it on her own annoyed me here, I mean you've got so much pride that you'd prefer to go to a business dinner with your billionaire companion in an old dress that had to be cleaned of cat hair rather than let him purchase you a new one???? Seriously?!! She acted a damn fool and I was over her bullshit pretty early on. She ruined this book for me.

Marcus was even more crazy obsessed with her and went to great lengths to get her to stay with him, he lied, bribed and manipulated anyone and anything that could facilitate Emma moving in with him......and I loved him!
The cats were awesome ( though seriously their shedding was OTT man) , Emma's grandparents were awesome and Marcus was awesome sauce! If we take Emma out this is a solid 4 but with her imma have to say 2

I didn't like Kendall in book 1 but I'm still interested in her book

No cheating
No OW/OM drama
J/P H
Fiery sexy times(a lot of it)

***This couple's story really didn't need 2 books, as much as I liked the sexy times, without it and the constant rehashing of Emma's issues this story could've been 1 book

Miss Zaires is now my new favorite author. I swear this woman can write. In her Titan's series, she takes a lighter tone. This is not as dark as her other books.

The story is continue from the first book. Marcus, my favorite stalker is chasing Emma. And how he chases.... I want my own personal stalker just like Marcus. Tje story touches maby aspect of relationship. Adjusting to each other life style, acceptance, who is paying for what, who is in control etc.

So its not just about hot steamy sex. Amd I do like it. This is a different approach from traditional romance genre. I also loke how Miss Zaires grows her characters to HEA.

What a wonderful read to close my weekend.

Marcus and Emma were an awesome couple, likable and very interesting, with an amazing chemistry. Their story had me hooked immediately, simple yet engaging and exciting!
Very well written and paced, dual pov, steamy and page turner.

A small note, the cover didn’t do justice to Marcus by far...

There really was zero point in this book. It could have all been wrapped up nicely in the first one. The H pursues the h in such an adorable/unrelenting way that even I was yelling at the h to just accept him dammit. I get her hangups but seriously, this guy is jumping through all your ridiculous hoops to get you. LET HIM ALREADY.

I love Anna Zaires heroes. Once they have their sights on a woman, there is no dissuading them.

The asshole cat was a nice addition to the story and I LOVED her grandparents.

L’epilogo molto 😍. Per me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ummmm. So nothing about this story felt like love. More like lust. There is such a thing is too much sex and Marcus basically took over Emma’s life and not in a good way. He just bullies her into everything. I am not a fan

Also he keeps way too many secrets from her

Also Marcus’s “addiction” towards Emma is just creepy at times

Fate always gets her way. In this case, it's good. After our hero and heroine meet because the dates they were supposed to meet have similar names, they are drawn together, sometimes against their wills.
Our heroine is much stronger than she thinks. Our hero is much weaker. But he realizes the importance of them much faster than she does. There are quite a few obstacles to overcome, but together they can do it. (hopefully)

I'm still slightly miffed because I think this could have easily been merged with the first book to fit into just one book. But, I did enjoy it nevertheless. Marcus will always be one of my favourite alphas with how driven and devious his mind works. Poor Emma didn't stand a chance! It did get slightly repetitive though with the number of times she kept harping on and on and on about how she doesn't deserve him and how they're not on the same level and how she can't have him pay for that or do that. By the time her grandmother and Kendall had the conversation with her that finally had her opening her eyes to the truth, I was about ready to research ways in which I could reach into a book to give a character a much deserved hard shake!

I'm fairly certain that Kendall's story would be next, although I'm not going to say who her love interest is, not to spoil TA for those who haven't read it yet, but I'm stoked for their story!

This is the conclusion to Emma and Marcus's story, as Marcus goes after Emma, determined to show her that they are not done. Marcus is delightfully possessive and entirely entranced by Emma (happy sigh).

I enjoyed how Marcus interacted with Emma's grandparents and the chemistry between them remained hot in this read. Marcus does do a number of underhanded things, in order to keep Emma with him, if he was guy a friend was dating, I'd want her to run the other way, but within the framework of the book, and due to the way in which Zaires depicts him, I couldn't help but like him, and keep my fingers they'd get their HEA.

A entertaining and light read, I liked how the tale ended.

Great conclusion to entertaining series!

If you’re looking for a light hearted, funny, steamy romance with a sexy hero who pursues the heroine, look no further.

I thoroughly enjoyed every moment reading Titan’s Addiction. I have to say that I just love Marcus! He’s a great jealous/possessive hero who was driven by his need for Emma. His thoughts were very focused on her and his love for her. He was pretty much obsessed with her & I loved it! I loved how he wanted to win her at any cost. He even manipulated some things behind the scenes to get her to move-in with him, lol.

While I did like Emma, she annoyed me at times with her insistence to pay her share of things. She was dating a billionaire so it seemed pretty silly imo. (I thought it was ridiculous that she booked a plane ticket for herself when the man she was sleeping with had a private plane.) Thankfully, Marcus quickly figured out how to maneuver her into doing what he wanted. She didn’t stand a chance against his determination, lol. Even though she irritated me at times, I still liked her and enjoyed the book.

Some things to note:

Titan’s Addiction began where Wall Street Titan ended. Together, the two books make one complete story. For those unfamiliar with the series, it’s not a dark series. At all. There’s no dub-con; non-con; cheating; ow or om drama; or triggers of any kind. There’s also a hea to this series with an epilogue. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

This book was fun and intense. It starts where the first book ends. I immediately knew Marcus went to Emma's grandparents for Thanksgiving when her grandmother said there's a surprise. Marcus was being manipulative, he wanted her to move in with him, striking her weakness thus her grandparents. It was amusing to see how Emma tried to fight Marcus but you already know she is gonna give into him.

It was kind of irritating when Marcus was calling Emma kitten. I have no problem with nickname but it felt too cheesy. Although it makes sense as Emma is a cat lady.

I enjoyed how Marcus was pursuing Emma while she tried to ignore him because of her feelings. She was helplessly in love with him but unaware that he felt the same. I liked how Marcus wanted to have baby with Emma and wanted her to realize he is the right person. He respected that it's her body and her choice. I think the first book is more interesting than this one. I think this book was completely unnecessary because nothing actually happens. Nonetheless, I enjoyed Marcus and Emma's journey.

Wall Street Titan: 3 stars
Titan’s addiction: 2.5 stars

Read the first half of both books but for some reason I reach the middle and start skimming through to the end. I didn’t really like the characters and there WAS SO MUCH MISCOMMUNICATION... JUST TELL HIM/HER HOW YOU FEEL don’t always assume what the other person feels. If they had an actual conversation about their feelings and conveyed how they were feeling towards each other this would have only been a stand-alone. The H behavior was TOO MUCH. Anyway what annoyed me most from this is the miscommunication which I mentioned above.

Liked the first book more than the second as you can tell...

Easy, sweet read, with little drama. Absolutely loved Marcus, but Emma did annoy me with her constant splitting the bill crap over everything. I didn't care for the ending either. Everything was solved way too quick and nicely for me. This book was just a bit boring compared to the first one too. Overall, I did enjoy this duet, but I do think some things could have been cut out and made into them into standalone.

Safety:

No OW/OM drama

Found out that he had already canceled his date with the other lady already in the first book and she doesn't appear at all in this one

Marcus & Emma are 2 of my favorite characters written by Anna Zaires!

I loved the first book, and the fight to get Emma back is the basis of this story. Marcus gave Emma reasons to doubt his feelings and now he’ll do everything he can to prove his love to Emma.

My favorite part of this story is when Emma goes to Florida to visit her grandparents and Marcus shows up. They “fake” their relationship in front of them because Emma’s not willing to forgive Marcus yet and she doesn’t want her grandparents to know there’s trouble in paradise. Marcus is breaking down her strength though. Her walls are crumbling!

Marcus is very dominant, yet has this soft spot for Emna’s 3 cats. He loves his fiery redhead so much he’s willing to bring them all to his house.

This book is funny, off the charts sexy (REALLY sexy!), and full of genuine love between 2 people who are complete opposites. It’s a fast read because it’s SO good!

I would love to read more about Marcus and Emma AND their friends!
I liked this duet so much, I’ll read it again!

Awwww 😍😍😍😍
I'm totally in love with this crazy, possessive caveman 🖤
Anna Zaires proves once again to be a brilliant writer and even if i prefers her in a dark version, i really enjoyed reading Marcus & Emma' story.
Looking forward for her next book 🖤

After:

Plot twist: this is the final book. I don't mind, but again, like with Wall Street Titan's ending, this was unexpected, lol. It hit me while checking the contents, so don't worry, I knew I was reading the final book.

I really like this lighter side of Anna Zaires, can't wait for more! She can write, that's all. Even though it's not her usual, it has her signature all over it.

We pick up exactly where the last book left off with Marcus going after Emma after she boards her flight to see her grandparents in Florida and ends their relationship by rejecting him.

Obviously he would worm his way back into her life and the length he is prepared to go to do that, the things he will do and most of all the GUILT he is willing to feel to win her.

Emma arrives at her grandparent’s house to see Marcus already there and boding with her grandmother. She is angry and demands he tells her WHY he is there and of course he does not listen when she tells him to leave and not speak about their relationship to her grandparents.....he already informed her grandma that they will be moving in together!

Only to not break their hearts Emma agrees with the ruse and lets them think for the next few days that she is happy with Marcus etc. and this is where he uses every arsenal he has to win her back.

She has serious BBS when she cannot refrain from sleeping with him. He has her body but her mind is still reeling from his manipulations and her fear that he will move on from her with Emmeline (the woman he was matched with and he never even thought twice about).

- He buys the building she lives in, so she is forced to move in with him
- He basically brings all her belongings and cats to his place knowing she will never leave
- He has his driver drive her to and from work

These two are just a bunch of idiots and a few more dramatic moments occur only for him to confess he she is IT for him, and we also see him realize he is in love with her.

When she finds out that he had he investigated when they met, she gets pissed off and he goes after her but gets hit by a car that was about to hit her.
This bothered me because it broke the pace of her anger and she no longer truly felt like he had gone overboard with his actions.

Another thing that PISSED ME OFF (it was not the MC's or the story) but of her former college best friend who basically ghosted her once she got her boyfriend and because Emma did not fit that world her guy was a part of she never talked to her again but once Emma is with Marcus and the world knows, we see her best friend try to weasel her way in because her boyfriend wants to be around Marcus and THAT world.

Thankfully Emma is not an idiot and doesn't let her former friend think they are besties again.

At the end of the story, we see them one year later with them having had a child and are married! She is now a full-time author too!

NOW one thing that I SHOCKED about was when we find out that Ashton (Marcus's best friend) and Kendall (Emma's best friend) KNOW each other and they have something interesting going on but we get barely anything other than Kendall hates him lol Their book is not out yet and honestly I don't think it ever will since it’s been years but one can hope!
