The Regulars: Tales from a Suffolk Pub

Rate this book
Seven funny tales set in a fictional old English pub in the Suffolk countryside...It's slightly run down and in need of a lick of paint, although not without a certain charm. The pub is situated in the gentle village of Sandwich Green in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. Population: 346. Village idiots: 7. The pub was owned by the brewery but has been operated for the last eighteen months by two brothers; Harry and Jeff Knocker. Harry is the smarter of the pair, although being the eldest sibling does not necessarily go hand in hand with being the wisest. There always seems to be something missing in Harry's life. When he was installed as the landlord he somehow got the brewery to change the name of the pub from 'The Windmill' to the 'Lazy Dog, ' allegedly after his ex-wife. However, she opened her pub and renamed it "The Halfway" Inn, supposedly after Harry

I found this book absolutely hilarious. The situations themselves are funny but the payoffs are great. Well worth it.
