Just when he thinks life can't get any worse or weirder, Marty Blank - a.k.a. that lovable loser, the Gibbon - finds himself and the brilliant-and-beautiful Dr. Fiona Fitzhugh transported to a world where monkeys rule and humans don't exist!

This was fun but, even at just four issues, it felt overlong to me. They always seem to want to get too much mileage out of what is a pretty one-note joke. Still, as I say, a fun read.
I have yet to read many literary epics, Moby Dick, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn or Dante's Divine Comedy. I no longer need to, for I have read humanity's peak.
What do you get when you take a totally bananas (pun intended) story and try to give it an actually coherent plot? A hot mess. I love stupid stuff, so I had high hopes for these apes, but honestly found this long and tedious….hence it taking me a week to read through 4 issues…
Read for ape puns, Bruce Bannaner, Cap as a [spoiler], and a story that takes itself entirely too seriously
Wait, why is this really good? It's really good! I'm a sucker for seeing alternate worlds and versions of characters, and the only thing I was missing was some more differences as a result of apes ruling the world instead of humans. But a really fun and focused story with some wild twists and turns
What starts off as a very silly concept especially with some of the puns for the ape versions of the marvel characters. But it does get kind of dark with a very weird twist but still not a bad story.
Fun for people who don't take their comics too seriously. This one managed to be the entertaining kind of goofy without straying too far into the unbearable kind of goofy.
